Great traditional local pub, what more could you want.

Best pub in the area. Actual pub without a proper and very welcoming pub landlord and owner. Not a chain. Does fantastic food and do go! Better food than the chain pub up the street.

Not great. Prices have gone up and quality down - one or the other is understandable. Luke warm pies and powder gravy isn't what I'd expect for premium prices

We went to the Golden Bengal tonight (2/2/25) and had an absolutely delightful indian meal (again!). We (my mum and I) have been frequent visitors for quite some time now ever since they changed hands and I can honestly say this is our favourite indian restaurant and we've certainly been to many indian restaurants in many different areas over the years. Try a Chicken Tikka with a Puri or some of their delicious curry or masala dishes and you wont be disappointed, highly recommend!

Went with some pals after a walk and it was so lovely! Atmosphere was fantastic and they had made the pub look so pretty. Had the duck leg and some lovely glasses of wine :)) Highly suggest this place to any one looking for a cracking dinner, especially after a big walk!

What a great pub this is. A proper pub in a lovely village. Everyone is so friendly. The staff are magnificent.

Friendly staff and hot tasty food

A lovely pub, on the outskirts of the countryside with a warm ambience and friendly, professional staff. Shane was very attentive and the service was prompt. Good food which was cooked beautifully and well presented

First point I’d make is that if you’re looking for a fine-dining experience then this isn’t the restaurant for you. However, if you’re looking for really good food at a fair price and can tolerate the levels of service (which I’d describe as always polite but basic) then give it a try. We’ve been using this restaurant since 2019 and always enjoy the food.

Possibly the worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant. £35 for three courses so not particularly cheap. Baba ghanoush was vile, followed by a dusty "wagyu" burger (lies lies lies - no wagyu beef in that burger - Possibly no beef at all) and a brownie Sundae (cheap yellow ice cream- I won't call it vanilla - and shop bought pieces of hard brownie). They should be ashamed to serve this let alone charge for it. I was part of a business conference group, and it was just garbage. I hope my colleagues refused to pay. Most of us didn't even eat the food.

Dated hotel with good amenities perfect for travel. Hotel has a bar, pub, conseevayory, restaurant, brasserie, and lovely gardens. Rooms past their best, but generally well kept and were clean. Staff were helpful, good breakfast selection. They charge for parking which I think is outrageous but when I raised it they didn't make me pay. Overall a nice option for a pre/post gatwick stay.

Olivia was amazing felt very cosy

This is a lovely coffee shop with friendly staff. I visited a few days ago and our server, georgina, was amazing. She was knowledgeable and answered our questions, helpful and generally all you could ask for when you don't really have a clue about coffee etc
