The best restaurants in Bargate Southampton South East

A superb consistently good deli restaurant with excellent menu choices. Been a few times over the last 7 years. Very worthy of a visit

Updated (3). SCAMMING COMPANY. AVOID. Updated (2) AVOID IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET SCAMMED. Still no communication from them despite me trying to contact them. So to sum up my experience with this place - either the company or staff knowlgly stole from me. Updated (1). Called as requested , did everything asked and was told someone would get back to me , noone has bothered. I guess the attitude of staff is not only reflected at this place but also within their offices as well Again, AVOID. THEY DO NOT GIVE THE REFUNDS THEY SAID THEY WOULD, EVEN AFTER CALLING AND SPEAKING TO SOMEONE. (I'll happily update this to reflect any further communication). Also, they only got in contact with me after a review, all other means of communication have been ignored. ----------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW- Don't bother with this unorganised establishment. Go anywhere else. Customer in front of me. "So you fed me beef when I asked for a vegan burger" no apology, guy took the correct burger from the kitchen as noone bothered to do anything. They also got a table of pre ordered meals wrong. Still didn't care and laughed about customers when serving staff were at the counter (not table). Lack of service or care from most staff. Forgot our order, reminded them, gave up after over an hour wait. Edit. Seems like long waits are an issue here. AllBarOne are aware as have responded on Google reviews, two months ago. Nothing seems to have changed.

Great food. Service was excellent. Has a mushroom risotto and it tasted amazing.

Very disappointing. The restaurant was beautiful and the waiter was very attentive, however the food itself was terrible, so much so we left most of it. The chicken was very processed and the sauces we lacking flavour. Also extremely expensive. Wouldn't eat here again ☹

Been here so many time but everytime we came in we not happy with the lady ai the till,she so rude and unfriendly to customer,when i call a bill they already came in take all the food away while i take money out,all food left just took away so quick and i said i want to take away and they not even sorry and said when you call a bill it mean we clean table…

Great bar and food service by Simmi, who we recall positively from past visits to this hotel! Also warn, helpful reception by Priya, who kindly printed some travel documents. Rooms are usually good, but unfortunately there is construction noise during the day at this time—should be quieter outside of working hours!

Great beer choices. Recommend the dark beer!

We visited this coffee shop yesterday afternoon, I can’t stress enough how lovely the girls are, really pleasant, the toilets however are a totally different ball game, they were truly disgusting, the seat & all around it were filthy, covered in urine …. I went over to Burger King to use their facilities, this really needs to be addressed asap

Great steak in Southampton, and the lunch set is worth to eat, very delicious but cheap!

My coffee shop of choice. Most of the staff are nice and the coffee is good. Needs a refit though and the toilets are really grim .

Great place. It looks like a proper pub. Very clean. There is plenty of seating inside and outside at the front. Beer good, staff friendly, and pleasant

Lovely space to grab a refreshing drink! The staff are kind and often patient. Chatime now have digital screens you can order from, the app also brings good perks! Favourite boba in town!
