Fabulous stay and good value for money. Chris couldn’t do enough for us, thanks for looking after us.

Having spent the previous night in an Ibis, this felt like 7 star luxury in comparison. Premier Inn get it right every time. The room was clean and well maintained, the service excellent despite busyness and technical challenges and the breakfast was, well, Premier Inn standard. The only disappointing element was an inedible vegan burger fir yesterday'sevening meal. It really was quite disgusting, but serves me right for choosing to eat vegan. Beef next time. Lesson learned.

Great stay for 2 weeks. Service always great for breakfast lunch and dinner. Chris was amazing, so kind and attentive. Wonderful service

Chris is an absolutely credit to whitbread - a fellow northerner and bringing back true hospitality. I’m here for a week on business and he’s so engaging, just the little things go a long way, great experience. Recommending dishes, remembering my name, genuinely cares! Clearly super hard working. Keep it up Chris, makes a solo trip less solo!

Really convenient place to stay for a week in Southampton on business. Staff are lovely - particular shout out to Chris for being helpful and friendly.

We just had the meal deal at the premier inn in Cumberland place in Southampton, Chris in the restaurant was excellent, the service was faultless and the food was first class, gold star from us.

If you eat in the restaurant you will be pleased the Chefs Will and John are fantastic Day 24 Early start for Breakfast, quality again and I finally got the name responsible Cheers Shelby 😎 Day 21 and still the most helpful friendly staff, Even when busy and for a small team they give the service. I've eaten everything on the menu, great food. Today's amazing team. Most importantly my favourite ladies Edyta and Agnieszka No.1 Housekeepers Managers Basha, Connor and Claudia Service Vicky, Kirpal, Chris, Aksel, Manny I've been staying here for 10days now. 2 staff members have been outstanding and made me feel at home. I don't know there surnames but I would like to say a massive thankyou to Chris and Manny. I can't leave out Connor the manager who has been brilliant from the start. I'm disabled and the extra care has made all the difference. Kirpal, Sam, Callum, Julia and Basia NIGHT TEAM best night staff I've ever come across, always smiling and willing to have a chat, and keep me well stocked with decaf. Thanks Michael, Krishore, Marie and David. The Whole housekeeping team always smiling in the morning. I will name everyone off you

Very comfortable and Chris was very friendly and helpful

I love Cumberland Place Premier Inn. It's the staff that make it great, there's front of house Chris who is a superstar but the real star of the show is John the chef. When John is at work the breakfast is more than the sum of its parts. He takes the stock ingredients and makes some magic.

Typical Premier Inn experience. Only thing to note was my room didn’t have much light coming in and a bad view of other hotel rooms. I didn’t care because I was only stayed one night and just went to sleep when I got in.

One of three Premier Inn options in Southampton, Cumberland is the newest but we still prefer West Quay as the best one. The rooms are always consistent no matter the property you stay at. Just wished there was a minifridge in the room or at least an ice bucket! Within a 7 min walk to Central Station to catch GWR and SWR and about the same walk away from the coach station for National Express buses. A quick 10 min walk to High Street.

Good location, a 10-minute walk from Southampton Central railway station and across the park from City Art Gallery. The usual good, clean room. Quiet nights. Second visit: It’s too bad that we cannot check in before 3 pm, when the rooms are sitting ready. I liked my 5th-floor, south-facing, spacious room on this visit. Check-in staff should not announce the assigned room number so all can hear.

Nice hotel for a business stay but road works made it very difficult to access Food wasn't great but room was a great size

Whilst working away. this place positioned ideally work place next-door + Town for a meal just around the corner also the staff here have been good to us. been here a fair few times & yes I would big this place up. Nice.

Standard premier inn rooms. They just about squeezed the 2 singles into the family room. Couldn't walk between the beds but it did for a few night. Restaurant was not good. I had fish...thought that would be safest option as heard another guest complain about the steak. Its was greasy and oily as well as tough. Few things not available. I wouldn't eat here... even as a last resort late at night. 2nd night we got delivery

Lovely clean hotel, rooms well equipped, snowy-white bed linen and towels. Staff lovely, very helpful and friendly. Good English breakfast, good Continental selection, good choice of tasty evening meals. The location is perfect, close to theatre, railway station, Titanic Museum, Civic Centre, art galleries and good restaurants. Lovely park right opposite and a multi-storey car park right behind. Nice short walk into the shops, down to the old town and a little further to Mayflower Park and Isle of Wight ferries. I've stayed here many times, highly recommended.
