Zizzi in Southampton

Our first trip to Southampton as boarding a cruise the following day. Had a stressful train journey due to trains being cancelled so arrived late and tired. We decided on Zizzi as always nice food and close to hotel. As both of us were full of cold and tired we ordered a takeaway at the restaurant and opted to wait outside due to our coughing and a full restaurant. An employee came out with the order and insisted it was on the house as we had waited longer than we should have. He wouldn't even accept a tip. After a long day this was such a lovely gesture and just shows how much the restaurant pride themselves in customer service. Beautiful pizzas hit the spot.

Leticia smashed it. Fantastic waitress. Deserves a rise. Banter is next level, always checking in and quick service. Fantastic.

Worst food experience I’ve ever had to endure! Service was poor, food had missing items, drinks were poured with half mixers but changed for full bottles so had to ask for outstanding mixers. Totally feel I’ve been robbed even tho they gave us a 1 meal deduction £27 on a £350 family meal. And to top it all I’m still hungry so a total disaster

Had a lovely work meal here last night, we just wanted to give a shoutout to our waitress Mary, she was super lovely and bubbly!

It's a shame this was the second time I went here and I was disappointed again. The food was so bland and not much to it at all I'm surprised the restaurant is opened too be honest .

We had a fantastic dining experience, thanks to our server, Joe. He was friendly, attentive, and provided great recommendations. His knowledge of the menu and excellent service made our meal truly memorable. We’ll definitely return, hoping to be served by Joe again. Highly recommend his service!

Ran out of the gnocchi and the substitute was overcooked. The bruschetta should be toasted bread, not slightly warmed. The serving staff were very good, trying their best to find substitutes.

Lovely last minute Saturday evening visit at Christmas time...managed to squeeze us in even though packed out. Food was fabulous and plentiful, recommend mushrooms brandisi and the garlic bread on a long wooden platter. Desserts lovely. Service was great, even though packed out with parties. Lovely atmosphere for a restaurant I wasn't keen on visiting as a chain. Set Christmas menu was good value. Will be back next year.

Just went here. Ordered olives, which came pitted. I didn't enjoy having to spit the pit out of my mouth everytime I want to eat one. Ordered calamari. Came out with a hair in the sauce. Sent it back. No apology, they didn't come back. Second time (arrived unannounced) can't wait... Straight away I found a hair cooked in to the calamari this time round. Literally hanging out of the batter. No apology and we had to ask for it to be taken off the bill, which a response of "ill just take it off the bill", which was given with attitude. (At this point, id be offering a customer a free desert or total bill discount. I mean two lots of hair...). Had a pasta meatball main, which came out the size of a kids portion. It had no substance, barely any sauce, no veggies and just 3 meatballs slapped into a plate of pasta. For £19 it was disgraceful. Would not recommend this service or food to anyone.

Manager Joe had an immediate smile on his face when we entered and we barely spent a second waiting to be seen even though there was a very (50+?) large Christmas party going on. He was extremely friendly annd accommodating - even offering suggestions to us - and our food came out very fast even with the large party ahead of us. 64926/10 give Joe and his staff tonight a raise.

I am a solo visitor working away, I was immediately greeted by Kam when I entered and taken to a table big enough to cope for my huge coat etc. The attentiveness of the team was amazing and I was very well looked after by Kam! The food was delicious and hot! Loved every minute of it! Well done all!!

We were a large group of 32 people and I was so impressed with how quickly and efficiently Zizzi’s staff got the food and drinks out. They were on top of everything and nothing was too much bother. Thanks so much, you truly were amazing!

We had to wait a few minutes as we hadn't booked a table but the staff were so lovely and as quick as they could be. Excellent food and drink as usual.

A group of 12 of us had a Christmas meal on a busy friday night, service was excellent from the courtesy call about our booking the day before to the great table service from Nicky during the meal. Food was really good and we all had a great time! Thank you

Service was amazing from Mary! My dish was a bit bland but other than that the food was great. My wife has a gluten allergy and the menu for that was brilliant. Mary made up for the bland dish with her enthusiasm and kindness! Would recommend!

My family and I had a delightful meal at Zizzi’s in Southampton. I am gluten free, and usually feel I need to apologise in advance for being awkward/difficult for the staff, but the guys who serviced us were incredibly kind and put me at ease. It has been a long time since I have comfortably eaten a pizza, and this one (rustic pig) was absolutely delicious! The pizza has split, with two distinct, but complimentary flavours. We had my year old niece with us, who had a pasta dish from the Bambini Menu, and I have never seen her eat so much, and with such enthusiasm.

Massive portions even though it was a set Christmas menu, fantastic, friendly and fun service - Giorgia was an absolute star. She put up with some silly drunks having a laugh :) thank you!!

Brilliant experience, Kam and the team were all lovely. Fantastic for gluten free food and all very knowledgeable on allergies. Looking forward to visiting again when back in Southampton, had a great meal!

Lovely meal, hadn't booked but got us seated. Very festive in there. Was going to have a wingstop but the queue was so long. Glad we went to Zizzi instead.

The waitress was fantastic. Due to an overcomplicated voucher system (not Zizzi but highstreet vouchers) she was super patient and took her time. Excellent customer service.

Visiting Zizi at night after visiting the Christmas Market in Southampton. Nothing too much trouble. A very friendly and warm welcoming service. They served a drink with a bowl of spicy twisted chips for complimentary, thanks. Ordered the Garlic Bomb with Chorizo and my favourite King Prawns Linguine. All in all, a very enjoyable meal with prompt service. Thank you.

These guys blew us away with the service! We booked for 16 x 10yr olds to celebrate a birthday. I'd arranged a pre order and the meal went so smoothly, they couldn't have done anything more. They treated the young people so well. I'd given them a cake and they added candles and served it to the birthday girl. They were just brilliant. We were a big group in a full restaurant. Hats off to the team, a brilliant experience.

We had a very nice work dinner here on Monday. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Leti was incredibly helpful, she assisted us with all the queries and the booking process in the week leading up to the event, which made everything so much easier. On the night, Dani and Georgia provided excellent service at both the table and the bar, and Leti was fantastic with the table service as well. Thank you all for making our evening such a success!😊
