Ella era increíblemente amable, eficiente y siempre sonriente, a pesar de que el restaurante estaba ocupado. Inicialmente intervine solo para cargar mi teléfono porque había muerto y lo necesitaba para pagar mi boleto de autobús a casa. Natalia fue tan comprensiva y acogedora — amablemente me dejó cargar mi teléfono sin hacerme sentir incómoda o avergonzada en absoluto. Su calidez y profesionalidad realmente destacaron y mejoraron mucho mi día. Un servicio excepcional como este merece ser reconocido — ¡gracias, Natalia!

We've been coming to Bella Italia Southampton for a while now. It's our kids favourite restaurant. The Gamberoni is always on point here. The staff are ever so friendly, professional and attentive. Our server Karen was especially attentive that we didn't need to ask for anything else! Keep up the high standards and we will see you guys again real soon!

It has been 5 or 6 years since we last visited. Little changes that I feel let it down, playing a radio station rather with chart music then Italian music. (I liked this touch before, added to the nice atmosphere and authenticity). Meatballs that were ordered for starter were tasteless and seemed like heated up, dry tin version then what I remember being fresh. Server forgot to bring over flatbread as part of our starter. Ruined by constant deliveroo drivers standing around chatting on their mobiles while we were trying to talk and eat. All in all could use blue light discount so relatively good value, but would of been dissapointed paying full price for what we recieved. Sign of the times I suppose

A good place to eat on a budget. Food is average and can be a bit slow to arrive. Staff are polite and friendly. Nice atmosphere considering the price. Overall, there is a good balance of cost service and quality.

Fries were stone cold!, the lasagne was tiny and dry for £15, and the rest was just poor quality and small. I won’t be ordering from this restaurant again as for the money was very poor ! Even though there was 40% off (promotion) it was still very expensive for junk !!…..AVOID !

We visited Bella Italia expecting a nice meal and cosy, familiar atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly poor. After being shown to our seats, we were completely ignored for around 20 minutes—no menus, no drinks, nothing. Went to the loo while waiting and they were in a disgusting state. In the end, we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. Thankfully, we chose L’Osteria in West Quay 2, and the difference was night and day. The service there was fantastic, and they made us feel valued as customers. The ambience was uplifting and welcoming - a complete contrast to the depressing air at Bella. It’s a shame because Bella Italia used to be one of our favourites, but with service like this, they’re in real trouble. Meanwhile, L’Osteria has gained two loyal customers!

Always eat here when shopping in town, the food is always tasty, never have to wait too long for service and they always cater for my fussy little ones.

Super late arriving and was so cold even though the driver only took 10 mins to get to us. Tried to call the restaurant when the approx wait time got up to 3 hrs from time of order and they just put us through to somewhere that didnt pick up the phone. It was then sent out immediately so probably a forgotten order

I think I had the most fantastic experience here! I had the Marco Polo pasta and asked for some hot honey drizzled on top. The staff were so kind and brought me exactly what I ordered! When that pasta entered my mouth, it was like fireworks went off in my mind like in that scene in Ratatouille!!!! YOU HAVE TO TRY IT, coming back to grab the exact same thing. Thank you so much:))

Lovely staff, very accommodating. Headed there as I could have sworn I'd read reviews saying it was dog friendly, however it is only guide dogs allowed, so we had take away instead. Food was great. When the seating out front returns I think you can sit there and bring a dog.

DONT EAT HERE. my sister and I visited for lunch last week - we have selected this place each year for many years now as part of our Christmas56 shopping day. When we went to pay the waitress said that the payment hadn't gone through, she set the card machine again and I retried. this time it succeeded and I was given a receipt. According to my bank statement they have taken the payment twice - £50.73 each time. I have called them 5 times today to get this sorted and its impossible to speak with a real person. the digital options don't allow messages. the website doesn't provide a mechanism to leave this information and the feedback requires me to comment on each of their questions and rate their service - not this aspect, so its useless. Its a week before Christmas and I am £50 short with no apparent means to get this resolved. hoping it was a genuine error, however the waitress didn't give me a transaction voided receipt for the 'cancelled 'transaction, which leaves me wondering....

Well I & my wife were shocked, starters really very poor value for money. I had the green olives for £4.95, the day after I went to Aldi & bought a jar with 5 times the amount in for £0.89. The wife had an Appletise drink for £4.50 & we found this at half the price retail. Main dishes were OK, but again didn't stand out from what we prepare at home for a quarter of the cost. I'll not be going back!

This place is normally busy with diners pretty much everyday but today seemed like a ghosted restaurant! The waitress was unhelpful, ignored to answer my question regarding my food. The cutlery just didn’t look like it was ever washed cleanly! It looked like someone had a meal beforehand and it was just left it for the next customer! Wouldn’t dine at this branch ever again! The food was awful, still defrosting…😏

Our small family group went for the three course set menu. There was plenty to choose from. No booking needed although we were asked if we’d booked a table ahead of arriving.

Went to bella italia for some food with my partner, up on entering you could smell Christmas already really nice decorations, we were greated by a nice smillie lady that sat us down and ask about allergies and me as i have a gluten intolerance was really happy to know that they care about it. Food was amazing and service was great Christmas new drink cherry sour was lovely and my gluten free pizza was even better. My partner was happy with his food as well, we will definitely come back

Fancied a special occasion celebration. Never been before. My partner was presented with a wrong meal. Waiter said he'd misunderstood thevorder and replaced it foc. Everything was hot and waiter/manager was very attentive despite it being a Saturday and being very busy. Would I go again. Yes definitely.

DELICIOUS lasagna. 😋 It was juicy, tasty and well-cooked, although over-priced in my opinion. I used my'tastecard', 2 for 1, which lessened the blow! In most places it would come with garlic bread, but sadly not here.

Love the informality of this long standing restaurant. Food was great and not overpriced. Great table giving us privacy and comfort- not all packed together.

Extremely small portions even the children remained hungry. The lasagna had an undercooked tomato sauce and key ingredients were missing. They were out of stock on some of the dishes as well. Extremely disappointing!

Bella Italia is my favorite Italian spot in Southampton! The pasta is amazing, especially the Lasagna – a must-try! Prices are super student-friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Highly recommend for a tasty, budget-friendly meal!

Attended the restaurant last night with our two young children. Ordered our drinks straight away via table service. Lady was called Karen, she was very polite. I then attended the restroom and noticed the same female distraught in tears. This was down to a disgruntled customer. It was evident being there for 30 minutes that it was not achievable for two waitresses to cover the volume of patrons. Dede was also very polite and explained about the volume of customers and knock on effect to customer service. Great food, however requires more waiters/waitresses to “fix” an obvious issue.

Food was lovely and service was fast, kind staff. Some of the nicest pasta I’ve had and loads of choices.

The food was good! But the issue was one of the waiters. We asked her for the bill and she said she would bring it 5 minutes later we hadn’t received it and she was talking to her friends, so after 5 minutes we asked her again and she asked another waiter to do it. That waiter that she asked was lovely. The waiter that was talking came back took our money then went to her friends and started talking back about us saying we’re impatient and need to wait. Even though it is their job to be nice and not just talk to their friends the whole time

As always Bella provided great customer service as well as delicious food . Prices affordable. Set menu great choices Defo keep coming back

Forgotten about a lot, placed in a corner, incorrect food and staff didn't listen properly when ordering and explaining issues. Waited for ages whenever we spoke to someone. Was compensated half of the bill after making me cry. (this was 2023) had better experiences before this.

Take like a cheap microwave meal wouldn’t recommend . Meatball were like rubber and pasta carbonara had no flavour and bacon that felt like it could break a tooth . Staff are nice but wen u go for food you want the food to be nice not just the staff

Came here for my daughters birthday and had a wonderful evening. The food was great I'd highly recommend the calzone and cookie dough for dessert. We all enjoyed it and will definitely return. Only small thing was the service at the beginning was a little slow and it wasn't busy but the staff were friendly.

Recently visited with my family for diner and had a great time. The meal itself ticked all the boxes and was exactly what you'd expect but the customer service was outstanding. Even during the busy rush our waitress, Karen, ensured all our needs we're met and served us with a smile in a timely manner. We will definitely be coming back again!

Came in for my friends 20th birthday, and was taken care of by Karen who was very lovely, it was a very busy night but she was constantly running around and deserves a lot of praise for her hard work tonight
