Chatime in Southampton

Lovely space to grab a refreshing drink! The staff are kind and often patient. Chatime now have digital screens you can order from, the app also brings good perks! Favourite boba in town!

App glitch nightmare at this bubble tea spot, and the staff couldn't care less. Tried to get some help, but it was like talking to a wall. No one seemed bothered by the fact that I couldn't place my order. App issues happen, but customer service should step up, not shut down.

I normally come here with my friends, but had a most horrible experience. I was waiting for my friend to arrive so we could order and once she arrived we sat down so we could decide, a very rude man with a piercing in one ear approached us looking very angry and told is 'why are you here?' And we just were shocked and said we are deciding on what to order, next the worker tells is 'you need to leave' I was disgusted as was my friend by the tone of his voice and we swiftly left the shop, that is no way to treat customers, and I work in retail.

Green tea here is amazing much better than the fake ones in London!! Very strong and bitter taste absolutely amazing when it absorbs into the warm sweet pancake and chocolate toppings 😋🤤, huge portions I'm stuffed! Great service just be patient as these guys are busy!

Great quality bubble tea, prices are quite high but at least the quality justifies the price. Highly recommended

I got the mango fruit tea with lychee popping bubbles, super tasty. The aesthetic is lovely , lots of green/ plants.

Was expecting to collect my free reward drink. But this tall guy was so intense and ask me how i got this free drink from their loyalty app and that i need to show my full credit card history to get my drink!! I am quite upsad about this, what right does he have to do this! Its my right to collect my rewards through their app!

The store is spacious and bright, perfect for gatherings with friends😍 the milk tea tastes great, and the staff is friendly🫶

Don’t listen to these neggi reviews. I’ve been going to chatime since it opened and it’s by far the best & most authentic bubble tea place in Southampton. It’s the OG for bubble tea in Soton. 10/10 would reccomend the honey dew milk with popping lyche bubbles!

Never failed but unfortunately all toilets we 'Not In Use'. Would've stayed longer and had 1 more round of drinks but no toilet means can't stay for long.

They were very very busy when we came, still we only had to wait a few minutes. Drinks are fantastic as expected. It’s a great place in my opinion. They’re slightly expensive tho.

This is my favourite bubble tea shop in Southampton!!!!! Their teas are amazing and pearls are always cooked perfectly 🤤 Staffs are very friendly and offer fast service every single time I come to the shop.

"THE" Bubble tea, no doubt one of the best. Chatime is the first bubble tea i have ever tried so it is the one I use as reference for the rest. Very consistent among the different franchises and never disappoints. This particular branch is great as you have sitting area if you wanna chill with your bubbles. I do normally take it home though. The only reason I did not rate it 5 star is because, even though the orders have calmed down, they seem to prioritize orders arriving though Hungry Panda and it is like waiting on a queue with people "Pushing in" from home. If there are no orders coming from Hungry Panda then is great. I have seen two new bubble tea places in Southampton that I have not tried but they are always empty, Chatime is always packed. Follow the crowds for good bubble tea!

Amazing, I love the atmosphere. The aesthetic of the whole building is so pleasing. The staff are friendly. The waffles are a must! I was expecting them to not be too nice, but I was wrong. If you're in Chatime then I highly suggest you to get yourself these Waffles. The Tea tastes great, such a lovely place.

First visit, went with high expectations, ordered Tea latte, tasted the worst one had in my life, for which I had to wait around 20 minutes. One Tea latte without topping £4.99. I should have gone to Macdonald’s, half the price, taste as you expect and pay. Never going back to Chatime as couldn’t stand their Tea latte for more than 3 sips. Yuck

Used to be really good. The girl behind the counter has no patience at all. Their original brown sugar milk tea was tasteless. Not buying and recommending them again.

A mate of mine and I decided to take my partner out for his first ever bubble tea. However, what might have been a great tea experience was somewhat marred by the lady at the til who obviously needed to work on her customer service. The moment we walked up to her we felt that she was very impatient and pressured us for our orders. Truly a shame as the teas were lovely and on par with the ones I've tried in Asia. In the meantime, will probably try other tea shops where staff are hopefully more friendly and accommodating.

My bubble tea didn’t taste as good as usual because there was a small amount of tapioca bubbles. there were a lot of different options though and service was good hence the rating

My daughter loves the chocolate tea. Would be nice to see pictures or a description of the drinks on the menu so you can choose something you might not think to try.

Always love going to Chatime for Bubble tea. They have a great range of drinks and quick service! They also have a great little rewards card.

One of my favourite places to go and get an on the go drink/treat. Very good customer service, extremely clean. There is a huge variety of flavours and toppings and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to try something new.

Tried bubble tea for the first time here and am now obsessed, it's absolutely delicious every time!! Staff are always kind and patient, always working hard and the shop is busy very often I pop in! Also even though their branch is not on the list for members on the Chatime app, when you enquire they give you a membership card and stamp it every time you visit! ^_^ Would highly recommend! ^_^

I love ChaTime. Often busy but makes a tasty Taro Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Pearl. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious.

I always pop in to this place at least once a week to order my favourite milk tea. I do not like hot tea but their cold tea is heavenly! I tried other milk tea places in the area and they didn’t stand a chance with the taste of the beverage offered at Chatime. The only down side is, the tap in the female toilet is out of order and it has been for weeks already. Please have that sorted out asap! Considering you sell tea, expect your costumers needing to use the loo every now and then but it would be very unhygienic if customers are unable to wash their hands.

We went to Chatime often during our visit to Bali. So when we spotted a Chatime store in Southampton we dropped in for a special tea formulation. It is rather expensive and they wanted to charge extra to add toppings such as tge bubbles which is free in their other shops. We enjoyed the tea but it is expensive for what you get.

I come here at least 5 times a week. Yuna is amazing, she has my tea made as soon as she sees me!! Wonderful place!!

We were in Chatime first time and in my opinion is a little gem.Finally something new ,served differently, a new taste,new place. Hight recommend

After going a couple times with my friends to enjoy time tea we’ve found the perfect place to spill the weekly ‘tea’. The bubble tea it’s simply delicious, milky and bubbly although it’s true there could be more bubbles :,( and it is pretty pricy, that tea is good bro. Also, another recommendation, don’t skip the songs in your Spotify playlist and maybe improve it a little bit ;) but still good tea <3

visited here on a recommendation of some girls after trying to find somewhere that served bubble tea. staff were very helpful and able to recommend a basic tea for me to try.

I've been a loyal customer of Chatime since it opened, but in the past months their quality has suffered . For example the mousse drinks which used to have a fair amount of mousse have a tiny slither on the top and if you want to get the same quality as before they ask you to pay an extra 70 p - which is pretty ridiculous seeing as I am already ordering a mousse drink. Also in contrast to other bubble tea places I have gone to they also charge you extra for the actual bubbles - which again is kinda weird seeing as the drinks aren't cheap anyway.

After going here in the past and loving it , we said when we’re in Southampton next we would go. So today we went in and got some amazing drinks . I had a matcha milk tea with Tapioca and green pearls . Sooooo good by the way and had no sugar and less ice . Perfect. My friend had kumquat and Apple pearls which was lovely . Another treat for us and we hope to see you again soon guys and girls . Quick service and clean restaurant to sit in .

Great place, the variety of flavors, hopefully, they will establish more flavors on the way. I could also I would recommend waffles Matcha with ice cream Matcha and caramel sos, Mniam!! Please train your staff in the system so they will be able to give a great customer service because there is a great potential in this place

Me and 3 friends were walking down the high street and noticed the bubble tea sign , considering a few of us are really big fans of a place in London we had to pop in here . Lovely restaurant with seating and a great menu lots to pick from . Bubble tea was really nice. We had matcha tea which I think is so good and just find the right bubble or beans to go with it . My friend had apple bubble in his and they are delicious. Lovely staff and we will be back to try your waffles as we have had them before in London and I want them all the time . Have been a couple of times to this underrated place. Bubble tea and bubble waffles are very tasty and you can create your own toppings.

Tiny cafe hiding near the bargate Southampton. Tasty bubble waffle with all sort of toppings. Highly recommend giving it a go.

First try of a bubble waffle was lovely. Will try bubble tea next. Waffle was cooked very well and had a nice crispy texture. You choose a number of fillings and they went together well.

My son love the bubble tea here. We come here very often. Now they served bubble wrapped waffle too. You can choose 5 topping with your waffle.

Came here for a bubble waffle after having seen they do them when I got a tea. Brought a friend who didn't believe something so popular would be hidden away in this little tea shop. Ordered one each from lots of topping/icecream combos. Waffle was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, just right. Ice cream was lovely. Would thoroughly recommend.
