Amazing atmosphere at the weekend. We watched the football here and then stayed on until the evening when they had live music playing. Great place for food too. Keep up the good work guys

Amazing pub with a great atmosphere and great staff. Food is amazing and great value - especially the sharer ploughman’s. The landlady, landlord and bar staff are really welcoming, friendly and easy to have a laugh with.

This pub has massively improved it went from hardly busy to every day being busy live music nearly every weekend and friendly staff and customers and landlords

Superb and friendly local to me here in Woolston. Amazing Karaoke nights and bands! Sarah, Phil, Taylor and Claire have been so kind to me. Pool table, darts, function room and good selection of well price drinks! Highly recommended.

The new owners seem to have turned the place around and made it the place to be in Woolston. Live Music, DJ's, Sky Sports and TNT sports. What more could you ask for. Amazing hospitality from the landlady and landlord and all the bar staff are so friendly. Loved the Meat Draw on Friday afternoon... amazing meat that I won from a local 'proper' butchers. All in all, an amazing place... keep up the good work 👍

We popped in for Crickfest night and it was great. Haven't seen a good entertaining night and atmosphere this good here for a long time. The new landlord and landlady are doing an excellent job.

Great pub, The new landlady and landlord Sarah and Phil are doing a great job. Live bands on a weekend, karaoke for those who can't sing. Sky sports is back. Pool and darts teams. It's back to being a great sports pub. Family and dog friendly, as long as they behave.

The Cricketers Arms is back to being a fantastic Pub again. The new landlords, Sarah and Phil are brilliant! Their team are friendly and professional and now with regular live music on weekends and Open hours as stated - 11 till 11 Monday to Sunday, the pub is rocking once more!

Best pub in town - since taking over the new managers have already made a positive impact here. Will be back soon!

Lovely local pub , nice vibes and good selection of drinks. Jenny and her Team are lovely , down to earth and funny too ! Well organised on Match days and lovely and warm in the winter ! Since we moved here this is our local and a great pit stop on way to town ! Highly recommend

Good local pub, cheap beer, nice landlady makes you feel welcome

This pub does not serve cask ale. The bottled beer from the fridge is too cold although why would you want to drink it? Ok for the locals who enjoy meeting there but the beer guide app says that cask is available and it is not.

Bar staff got my drinks order wrong and refused to change it. The land lady is now asking me to take this review down even though she was the one was refused to fix the error. Freedom of speech means I can post this review. The land lady should have resolved the issue at the time. Update: Yes my friend ordered the drink but he pointed to the pump and told the bar staff the correct order so this is justified and you did nothing to resolve the issue so that is why I have you one star. I am just voicing my opinion on bad service so others can see it

Great local pub. Great jukebox, pool and sports. Best of all is the staff. Pubs like this are few and far between. It’s so nice to come into a pub like this and feel welcome. Jenny the landlady is fantastic and all the bar staff are just great. Brought so many people here when we moved to this area as it’s great. Well done to you all. Long may it continue.

I have never gone to the same place for lunch twice in one week but the Cricketers is like a home from home. I took my mum, daughter and friend as a treat. Again staff exceptional. Met by Lou, who was very much in control, efficient, friendly and accommodating. She did not mind that my daughter was arriving late due to car breakdown. The restaurant was busy but the waitresses, Katie and Larisa were friendly and patient. Food delivered in good time and to a high quality. Would recommend a visit.

Popped in here Saturday night and left almost immediately. The woman serving appeared to have no people skills whatsoever. I would go so far as to say hostile. As we were leaving, two regulars smiled and commented they were 'working on her.' Went on to the Robin Hood where we received a much warmer welcome.

Popped in here when meeting family. Comfortable inside. Staff friendly. Breakfasts excellent. Clean and tasty. Coffees were very good too. Unisex Toilets very clean. It was a pleasure to visit this cafe and recommend giving it a look. There are outside tables too.

This pub is second to none for good service and nothing is too much trouble. Moreover Jennie and her team are doing a wonderful thing for the community in hosting the weekly social events on Saturday mornings for Ukrainian refugees. The atmosphere must be great considering the popularity of them.

Good pool table and plenty of screens for the football. Beer was what you would expect and priced fairly as well. A good night in the pub

Absolutely incredible the atmosphere was completely electric.

Fairly close to the football ground it is a known meeting place for fans pre and post match drinks.

Very nice & friendly the only thing that could entice more people would be a better disable toilet as i am unable to weight bare my wheelchair does not allow to get in im hoping to become a regular. Hope you don't mind me making this kind remark.

We had a party of eight eating, and we ALL really enjoyed our meals. The meat on all plates was tender and melt in the mouth you could taste that everything's made fresh. Staff were helpful and friendly. Tried Turkish beer...lovely!

This cafe is now open in the evening as a Turkish restaurant. We visited tonight with family. The food is fantastic, the meat is cooked to perfection very tender and tasty. This is the best Turkish food in the area. We will be back in...

Don't book a wedding reception here ! What a complete sham , i booked for the whole day and evening with extra for booking till late , we were told that we could not go in early to decorate hall and that we could not get into the hall untill 5 pm even though we wld get there for about 4ish and this was because they decided to have the football on big screen in the hall and that they wld do the hall up for me , well we did not get into the hall till 6.30 and all my decoration's i had bought and had decided where to have them were not done there was a few balloons up not even with the gas we bought for them , the wedding cake was delivered in the morning and had been left in the hall all day even when it was so hot and with the punters watch football the cake was meant to be cut up by the staff never got done first nor last we never got our drinks handed out for toasts till we decided tht waiting for 2 hours was just a joke so did that ourselves n, not even half my food was put out they went against my table plan for the food and found out the next day she kept it for a christening party the next day and with decorations tht i had bought for my day . We booked hall till 12.30 but because the landlady had a hang over from the night before shut the wedding down at 10 , we never got our money offered back for the hours we never had the hall not even a sorry , i can only now tell my story as was so upset and still am as this was meant to be our dream day and it was not . DONT BOOK ANYTHING IMPORTANT EVER

Been coming here now for a few years much better with the appointments app no longer waiting about for long periods of time in a packed shop . Scott is friendly and chatty and there is a kettle on hand if you want to make a brew .

Too many regulars whom make you feel uneasy. Very sport oriented which takes over the pubs atmosphere so not for us. Though others may disagree. Not tried the food.

This is a decent cafe. Good range of foods. Big portions, and reasonable value for money. Not the cheapest, but the food is tasty, well cooked, well presented, and there is a good choice. Cash only.

Just been to a wedding reception there the dj has drink problems or was on drugs as he kicked the door in in the toilet because I wouldn't use the pan next to him then accused me of being a junky after he was confronted...
