I’ve been a few times to the bistro and I have to say how good it is and I fully recommend it The food is delicious the Staff are wonderful And the atmosphere great Let me tell you of my experience yesterday I decided to take my wife and her sister and husband there We phoned up and booked a table , the staff took the booking . My Wife explained that her sister was in a wheelchair and her husband needed help as he had sticks to help him walk “no Problem we have a ramp” We arrived and they helped getting them out of the car pushed with the wheelchair They did it with a smile The food was brilliant . The service first class They made that evening so special . It was great to go there I only wish other restaurants take that much care Thank you Rendezvous We will be back very soon Richard

I came here for my mums birthday dinner and had an absolutely exceptional time. The food was so delicious and so fresh, and the atmosphere was just perfect. It was a very classy yet fun vibe and left feeling very satisfied. Usually after eating Italian i feel bloated and disgusting, however the food was so well made and clean, i felt amazing after! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We stayed at the hotel. Arrived Friday early evening and bar was heaving. No clear check-in area. Told they could not find our reservation. Then someone admitted accidentally checking us in with an earlier group! Room clean but small and dimly lit. Shower good. Mattress v soft so slept badly. Free water. Breakfast good Saturdsy but poor on Sunday. Toast burnt and poached eggs overcooked. We ate in nearby Rendez-vous restaurant which was v good.

£4.50 for microwaved bacon in a stick and £3 for tea (that you pretty much make yourself) in a paper cup. Ridiculous is an understatement. This is the kind of place rich people with no common sense go.

We arrived at this restaurant at 12.30pm on 29th June having reserved a table for lunch through Open Table. The booking was confirmed on 20th June, and confirmation that we would be attending was requested on 28th June by Open Table. We confirmed our booking. On arrival the restaurant was closed, with no messages advising of the reason. On telephoning the restaurant, we were transferred to a mobile number. No response to our call has been received. Having driven 25 miles we were extremely frustrated and annoyed by this attitude, and the rudeness of failing to advise us of the closure, or provide any form of response to us.

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had in a hostelry! The men's toilets are disgusting! They have a drug problem with some of the customers snorting in the toilet stalls! The bar staff are surly! The manager is an oaf who thinks he can talk to people like dirt! As for the Sunday roast? I like vegetables drained of water, gravy with something less like brown water and a slice of meat thicker than aluminum foil! Three years ago they had a polite, enthusiastic manager that kept the place well run and had a beer garden devoid of trash and toilets that had operating facilities and didn't smell! The ale selection was fantastic too!

Superb pub food. I had Prawn/Salmon Cocktail - generous/fresh followed by pie and mash - unbeatable. My wife had soup(which was hot - you’d be amazed at how many places serve lukewarm) with crusty fresh bread, followed by Sea Bass beautifully cooked (so easy to over cook) - excellent chef 👏👏👏

A very good cafe offering the usual very good standard National Trust menu (sandwiches, baked potatoes, other snack meals and cakes (one reservation is, on the cake side, there could more choice for Gluten Free diets)), served by friendly, helpful staff. There's plenty of seating, both inside and outside, and, a new innovation, there is now a room where dogs are welcome. A good place to drop into when you are walking round Chartwell.
