Illy Cafe in Sevenoaks

We ate here on 11th October 2020, the service by the staff was good however my Roast Lamb felt it was from a microwave than made freshly. The lamb shish was ok, but a bit tough. Not a great cafe for food to be honest

Visited Saturday morning as fancied a decent English breakfast. We read reviews online and looked at lots of places and this one seemed just a tad more expensive than other typical 'greasy spoons' but as we wanted quality, we decided to choose this one.We weren't disappointed! The Full English was the perfect solution to a Saturday morning hangover :)Service was great, quick, polite etc. What more can you ask for! We'll definitely be back!! Plus, the bacon was awesome, you can never get proper crispy bacon anywhere.... but now I've found this place! Better than I can make at home...Two tiny little things which could improve experience and I would be happy to pay extra for: Decent fresh, crusty bread for toast and better quality sausages - like I say, I'd pay extra for these as would just make it probably the best breaky in the UK :)

I stopped into the cafe on a very cold lunchtime for a snack as it wasn't too busy inside,I chose a table and started to look at the menu, was a little confused that on TripAdvisor the restaurant was called Illy but on their menu it displayed a completely different name.Any way i ordered a create your own little breakfast with a tea and then sat back and waited for my food to arrive, ordering wasn't too difficult even though English did not seem to be a first language for the young server. Not too log after my food arrived and on first inspection looked really nice that was until half way through i cut into my poached egg to find it completely underdone and spewing horrible white liquid over the rest of my food also the beans and mushrooms tasted cheap and bland :( completely put off by that I didn't eat the rest, paid and left. Will not return

Stopped in today with my partner for a snack and was not dissapointed. The service was great and the cafe itself was beautifully decorated and clean.I had poached eggs on toast and they were amazing, best I've had in dover. My partner had a baguette and didnt seem to moan so I suppose he was happy too. Would definitely return here again

My granddaughter and I popped in for a snack before going to cinema. The cafe is very clean and the staff very friendly. I had poached eggs and they were cooked perfectly, my granddaughter had a panini this came with chips and salad very good value for money I would recommend this cafe

Visited here 5-6 times this year and have had a great experience. Food is great, especially the side salads that you get with your meal. Big range of meals, good place for families.Only thing that let us down was that people were smoking out the front and you could smell it really strong inside.

I'm not a huge eater, but I had to eat my daughters leftovers and still wasn't satisfied. This is the third time this has happened. When I mentioned it to the manager, he suggested I should order more!!? I always thought that if you order a meal you should get a meal. He is the same with his staffs pay which is why the turnover of very young foreign women is constant. Don't bother. Plenty of better places in Dover.

What a lovely cafe very clean staff very friendly and as for the breakfast we had well presented well cooked also very tasty.will come back for sure.

Nice little spot in the center of Dover serving a very big range for breakfast. Food was just fantastic. Typical English fare and not at all greasy like some. Fresh and lovingly prepared.Very nice Illy coffee reminiscent of good Italian brews and way better than the “coffee” you get from the big chains. Worth a visit for the coffee alone.

Went in here for breakfast when I was visiting the family in Kent. Very good service and good food. 5/5

Clean and reasonably priced cafe at the heart of Dover - I always receive a warm welcome. One of the few gems in what is otherwise a very poor town centre. Options to sit in or outside (which is okay if there aren't too many smokers)

I come here a few times a month with my partner for lunch,The staff are always polite and friendly and the restaurant bright, clean and warm :)

If you are a bit hungry and want a quick bite, Illy is the place for you. Prices are okay and the cafe is situated in the middle of the town. Our waitress was nice - the food just like normal fastfood. All in all - good experience

Quick, polite, and friendly service. Good food at a reasonable price. Would visit again, ideal for a quick stop before a ferry to Europe. Great service, quality food, fair prices.

This being only the second visit, but with baby granddaughter and daughter. Baby needed feeding, so my daughter got her in a high chair....feeding commenced, but sadly followed by gross gusts of smoke and ash, from the smokers just out under the awning. There, should be a dividing screen, so the smoke doesn't come in to the dining area. I appreciate it was brought in by the breeze, but, this should be obstructed from happening.

Turks ontbijt met patat? OMG!!! Ik ben sowieso niet zo'n fan van de ontbijtkeuken van de Engelsen dus derhalve turks ontbijt gekozen. Dat was niet heel veel vers maar zoals redelijk gewoon in Engeland potjeswerk. Maar de koffie was heerlijk.

We stopped by here quite frequently. The double cappuccinos were wonderful, especially for early mornings on the beach.Breakfast was not really gourmet, but it was very tasty and quite large--not sure I ever finished what was on my plate. The service was quick and pleasant. By the time we had to leave, cappuccinos just appeared(with a smile) whenever we arrived in the morning.

Brilliant fry up. Perfectly cooked food. You are missing out if you dont visit this wonderful establishment.

Koffie is goed, ontbijt genoeg keuze. Ziet er schoon uit en een snelle bediening. Goed en betaalbaar alternatief als het ontbijt in je hotel echt te duur is.

I have been here several times with family. My daughter is vegetarian and loves to come here for their cooked breakfast. I have always enjoyed the food but the service and the outside seating really makes this place special!

Past weekend my husband and I had to stay in Dover to take a course. While searching for a good cup of coffee, we passed "Xpresso", or as the locals call it "Illy Cafe". We were impressed with the coffee and service; we ended up coming back for lunches and breakfasts! The menu was extensive so we were a bit worried that not all could be good but we impressed with every dish we tried! Everything was prepared fresh, tasteful and presented well. Service was correct, friendly and quick. We will be back!

A great breakfast and fantastic service. Plenty if space for a pram too. Very good portion sizes too and a decent vegetarian selection, especially for breakfast. Should definitely try it out.

Love Illy. It has the most continental feel of all Dovers cafes. It does look a bit gaudy and off putting from outside, but inside it's really clean and functional. I love the fact they can open up the whole shop front makes you feel like you are abroad. Had breakfast. Was quite good, beans a little tasteless and the usual white coffee thing. However it was quick well cooked and very quick. The waitress was very polite and checked to see if I liked the meal. This has everything you want and the open air puts it at the rope of the pile

Ideal for a cuppa or a snack. It's not a posh place with posh prices, and its not a greasy spoon cafe either. It sits nicely in between, clean looking and spacious, with friendly enough staff... and they do a good latte!!

I'm a regular, thought I'd line my stomach before the day of watching rugby and drinking, staff are alway friendly and helpful, well cooked portions are big, I will always return

Stayed in Dover for one night before a meeting the next day. Hotel breakfast was well over priced so ventured into town and found this place.

Io e i miei amici siamo capitati qui per caso mentre eravamo alla ricerca di un bar per fare colazione, abbiamo preso te, caffè, cappuccini e cioccolate e alcuni di noi hanno provato muffin e torte e siamo rimasti tutti molto soddisfatti non solo dal servizio che è stato veloce ma anche della colazione in generale, i dolci erano molto buoni e anche le bevande. Inoltre le porzioni erano abbondanti.

I love coming to this cafe, I am a regular customer, at least once a week I come here, and take friends, as it is just so welcoming, staff are wonderful, speedy service, the waitress Anya, she is very honest with what is worth ordering, which is what I like.. Honesty! The chef is also a really nice bloke, not a fan of coffee so can't speak about coffees, food is perfect and so much choice! Recommend to all!

The food was good, a little more expensive than it's worth. They messed up my coffee order, but the gal was so busy I felt bad trying to fix it. Also wanted a take away coffee but that was going to take longer than I wanted to allow.

This is the place to go if you want an early breakfast. Because of its early opening we call in as we start out on a journey. They serve wraps with bacon egg and sausage which are really tasty. We also take our older grandchildren for lunch if we have them on a Saturday. The breakfasts fill up our 10 year old grandson, which takes some doing.

Excellent service from the very engaging and entertaining staff. Brilliant latte and mocha, and an out of this world Apple pie. Had the heater on in the mornings which was much welcomed! Great experience.

We found this cafe the first evening we were in Dover and we were impressed because the menu was recognizable and very English. We came back to this cafe for almost every meal during our three day stay in Dover. Breakfast, lunch, and Dinner choices were all great and the portions were large and reasonably priced. Great value. Ellena was so friendly and amazing. She made sure that we had everything we needed to be happy and also gave us local information that we needed. Very friendly.

This restaurant in the Market Square has around 44 seats inside and half that number outside. Menu is more than just a Starburger range, with food broken down into liver meals, pies (which include shepherds), pastas and currys. Also a hint of Turkish with the kebabs. For breakfast there is a range of set menus, some vegetarian, but you can create your own breakfast or add extras like mashed potato to other meals. Sweets are supplemented by a range of cakes at the counter. Illy is fully licensed and the menu includes alcho pops(sic) and cocktails with names like Bad Habit and Kill me now. The service was brisk, and efficient rather than friendly, and it runs from 7am to 7pm (Sunday 9-6) A dark red décor, and those who dislike this or the music seem to sit outside. They are proud of their coffee but I had a £1 7-up so cannot comment.

We popped in for a breakfast last weekend, and I was surprised at how reasonable their prices were.

I have been using this cafe for years now(under a different name till recently)..it's clean, friendly staff..butt he best thing is that they make a brilliant cup of tea..none of this hot water that many cafes serve up..and their eggand chips is spot on..ideal for a wuick pop in when you need an uplift from the ghastly place that is DOver!!!

even tho they have changed names its still the same food and you can't fault it. Service is very good, always happy to help. Ideal location from the County Hotel.

Have walked past this little cafe many times and it always seemed pleasant enough. So when, this afternoon, my friend who has been here many times suggested we go there for a bite to eat and a drink I decided to give the place a try.

I've not been farmilar with "jacket potatoes" so I tried one. What a treat. It was a large baked potato split, reheated with a sweet light cheese melted on top. A fresh salad was served on the side.

The cafe is very clean and well appointed with helpful smiling waiting staff. There is a good range of traditional cafe staples and the egg and chips were cooked perfectly.

Nothing to dislike here. Standard café food and drink, well presented in clean surroundings by friendly and efficient staff. I'd eat here again.
