In summary this was pretty terrible. One very new waiter who did his best but… They had run out of 2 types of beer, I ordered a lime and soda. The soda was flat and they didn’t have any more plus it came without lime. The mains passed without incident and the food was okay. ( not amazing but fine) we took the dessert menu but they’d run out off half of the deserts and inexplicably run out of coffee. Underwhelming and we definitely won’t return.

Staff are very welcoming and friendly, food was amazing. I would Highly recommend. Nice atmosphere all round. Would come again.

Would definitely recommend. Staff were really friendly and chatty. There were a few tables and and was a brilliant atmosphere. We ordered pizzas and the were beautiful and also had the most amazing vongole and Seaford pasta I cannot wait to go back and I will be telling everyone about this little gem. Thank you Sicily

I ordered on the website given online the cost of £35.55 was taken from my account to pay for the order. Then when it went through to confirm with the restaurant, it was loading for 20mins saying the same thing . I called them and asked that they had received my order , only to be told “they no longer use the website service” . Then they told me I have to come and collect the food myself as they have “sold their bike and they don’t have a car” , but I don’t have any way of getting there as I do not drive and am staying somewhere other than my house. They offer me a refund but have no way of giving me the refund so I was telling them to resolve this issue by taking the website down and asking “when would I get my refund?” to which they decided to hang the phone up on me😡 I’ve tried to call back but there as been no answer

I am shocked to read some of the negative comments on here. We as a family of 5 visited here on the off chance and had exceptional service and good quality food. The restaurant was empty but if people only write negative reviews no one will try this little restaurant.

Poor dining experience here. We were looking for a place it eat after 7pm on a Sunday and ended up here. Only 2 people working in the restaurant. The waiter was also helping out in the kitchen, so wasn't attentive to the customers. I ordered a Peroni beer and friend ordered a mocktail. Only the mocktail turned up. Had to order the Peroni again. The Waiter had no memory at all of me ordering it. The mocktail tasted like Robinson's barley water. Starter's arrived. Friend ordered the mushroom (£10 for 1 mushroom) It wasn't hot so was sent back. Waited another 15 mins for it's replacement. I had prawns in tomato sauce (£12) Pizza's were ok. Restaurant is overpriced, and doesn't match the quality. 2 times I had to get the waiter's attention by walking up to the kitchen door. Bill came to £66.40. We opted to split the bill and waiter conveniently (for himself) rounded up each of our payments to £34.00. Definitely would not go back. It had a cowboy feel to it.

Food average at best. Pizza over cooked with little or no care at all. I would have been embarrassed to serve this up at home. $$$

We were alittle disappointed with this restaurant, only one other table occupied. Food we felt was overpriced for the quality.

Four of us popped in for an early dinner at around 5ish on a Sunday and there was one other table there. The waitress was lovely but a bit goofy, didn’t know what the Italian words on the menu meant, had to go back a few times for other stuff too. The pizza was really tasty but imagine my surprise when the plate with gnocchi had only 8 gnocchi in it, swimming in melted four cheeses. For the £16 per portion, at least 16 gnocchi should have been on my plate, with much less sauce. This was just poor presentation and maybe.. not enough gnocchi to go around? (My friend also had the gnocchi)

We came as family expecting a nice family birthday dinner, only to be met with appalling customer service. Despite the food being okay, the service we were greeted with was nowhere to the standard it should have been. Would not recommend.

We popped in here for an early evening meal and the restaurant was very quiet - we enjoyed the experience. Two of our party had pizzas which were great, flavoursome with very tasty toppings. The other dishes of chicken and spaghetti carbonara were pronounced to be very good. Service was friendly and we were puzzled by a couple of very harsh reviews. We liked Sicily - it’s unpretentious, a friendly neighbourhood restaurant with very acceptable food.

Ristorante disgustoso! I have been ruminating upon this review trying to stop myself putting word to public disclosure. However the foo and the staff in hindsight have compelled me to warn fellow diners away. My simple pasta seafood dish was so full of brine and fetid lank pasta that upon my first taste I informed the staff of an obvious problem. Rather than offer another dish I was rudely told that "this is the recipe" take it or leave it - not quite the professional service and pride I find in most Italian restaurants. The website states that Sicily is where the locals got to dine. This worries me about returning to Westerham because underneath the quaint warm English village presentation there must be a sadistic, masochistic, self flagellating community of coprophagites hiding behind the nicety of the area. I can only assume they used sea water to provide the taste of the sea in the unseemly dish I was served. Clearly they have not been keeping tabs on the sewage being pumped I to the British oceans recently because of I had to select one word for my meal "Sewage" would be the most apt. Avoid at all costs and ignore me at your peril..

Food was really not that nice, pasta dry and overcooked, lime in the vongole(!) and service incredibly slow. They obviously hadn’t staggered arrival times. By way of apology they said they cooked everything fresh, that’s surely a given for most places.u Was expensive for v mediocre food, not sure they’re Italian either as what they were serving as a Coppa Amerena contained neither ice cream or cherry.

We visited early on a weekday evening. It wasn’t busy but it had low key rustic atmosphere which suited us. The food tasted fresh and authentic. Olives were good - not too vinegary. We had a plate of calamari to share as a starter - freshly cooked with a light crispy batter. Seafood pasta was good and the ragu was really excellent. Portions were just right. So I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews - they certainly didn’t reflect our experience. Service was attentive and friendly without being excessive. Overall we really enjoyed it and would choose to go back again.

Terrible food will not be returning

Worst food I’ve ever had at a restaurant let alone ‘italian’. The cuisine was not authentic at all. I left tasting raw garlic powder until I got home! Waste of money! The LARGE portion of calamari was tiny!!!!! Overcharged!

Probably the worst service we ever had. And afterwards, the service was included. I wish I would have asked it to be taken off. Unacceptable attitude.

Booked to have a mid week dinner with family, sadly just us 4 plus another couple in restaurant so no atmosphere! Started by sharing Pizza which was nice but our main courses were very underwhelming. I actually returned my pasta dish and asked for cost to be taken off menu it was so poor! There was lack of sauce middle pasta steaming hot but outer pasta cold. Absolutely tasteless and I am not someone who like to complain so felt bad returning it but was not prepared to pay for it. I would not return sadly but if you were having pizza and wine I think it would be a pleasant dining experience.

Very disappointing meal had at Sicily - we had to wait 15 minutes for our table (which was booked in advance), had to ask to place a drinks order 25 minutes after being seated and again to place our food order. The food took over an hour and half to arrive, is average at best and is extortionately priced - £9.95 for one mushroom, 18.95 for half a chicken breast and £10 for a garlic bread portion! My husband did eventually complain to the manager after much patience on our side to be told they had been very busy with 120 covers, but not an apology to be had. Overall a very bad experience and a waste of best part of £100 - will not be returning and strongly do not recommend.

I booked to take my wife and 2 children here for Mother’s Day 2024. Before our visit, in the 15 years we’ve been together I have only complained ONCE during a meal. That is now sadly twice. We arrived just before 2pm for our booking and weren’t seated until gone 2.15. We were very patient and understanding throughout. From there everything just took forever - for us and other tables surrounding us. I had to ask for tap water FIVE times. Tap water. The food was overpriced and one of the staff had AirPods in the whole time we were there! Such a shame as we would love to find a new local Italian but will definitely not be going back.

Beautiful little find yesterday evening; some gorgeous food, cute and cozy restaurant and situated in the glorious Westerham. Food was incredibly tasty, and we were constantly looked after by our waiter. Definitely recommend visiting here, would be a great place for meeting with friends or family.

The food was absolutely delicious, and Mariam was an amazing host. Will definately be visiting again.

I would not go back. The music was so loud that we couldn’t hold a conversation except by shouting. The pizzas were indifferent with very ungenerous toppings and tasteless base, and took an hour and ten minutes to arrive (I wonder whether they ran out of dough and made some fresh, without a poolish, which would explain both the long wait and the blandness). There were only six tables, but clearly both the kitchen and front of house were overwhelmed. The servers were very sweet but very amateurish. It was just an unpleasant experience all round.

Sadly we found Sicily rather disappointing. Having read the reviews we were hopeful but my chicken Milanese was tough as old boots and my partners carbonara had lumps of very fatty lardons in it. The atmosphere was ok but we were very surprised to be asked if we wanted to leave a tip when a service charge had already been added to the bill!!

Food was very mediocre to say the least. Very expensive, dead atmosphere considering it was a Sunday lunchtime.

Best authentic carbonara for miles - to get guanciale and a proper egg yolk and pecorino romano sauce loosened with a little pasta be water, seasoned with black pepper - this is such a simple dish but so many places get it wrong - I love that these guys aren't afraid to put 4 ingredients into a dish and serve it classically.

Walked into the restaurant to meet friends for an evening dinner. The restaurant was not busy for a Friday night and felt very cold. A young waitress came and took our order. We all order starters apart from one of our party who ordered bread with a balsamic dip. 3 of the starters arrived and 2 didn't and the balsamic dip did not even get acknowledged. We waited for a while but noticed that food started to come out for other diners. We asked where the other starters were and on checking our order, one had been ordered as a main meal and the other not at all. This was rectified but the starters were all in the region of £10, which was expensive as mine only had about 10 mussles, 4 of which were empty making it expensive. Ordering drinks were a bit hit and miss. We'd start to order and the waitress would walk off before we had a chance to finish. The main courses again were expensive for the size of the portions Mine was a salmon pasta with a small spoonful of pasta and about 4 small pieces of salmon. We asked for parmasen cheese which the smallest pot was brought up to serve a group of 6. We left the restaurant still cold, as there was no warmth and very disappointed with the service and the quality of food. We would like to say however, there was a waiter called Tom who was very friendly and try to deal with the errors as best as possible. Will not rush back anytime soon.

Food poor - the carbonara was nearly inedible , dry tasteless and not hot. I only managed less than half of it. Service very poor. Had to request for the finger bowl and dish for the Moules. Both eventually arrived by no.means promptly. Finally dessert course - cheesecake never arrived so once coffees ( good liqueur coffee) drunk , I went to cancel dessert and waiter had completely forgotten that a dessert had been ordered.!!! A couple alongside us arrived had a starter - and left. We had chatted. One table of 6 seemed to be having a good time but I cannot recommend this place and will try somewhere else when there next month.

We visited this restaurant last night as a couple. We hadn’t booked, but they were able to accommodate. There was only another party of 6 or 7 that we were aware of. We ordered a pizza, gnocchi, beer and glass of rose wine. The beer was excruciatingly expensive. The wine was ok, but could have been better chilled. The pizza was fine, but felt it could have had more toppings (spicy sausage and mushrooms). The real disappointment was the gnocchi, both the portion size and presentation. I asked whether it was actually a main, or had I been served with a starter portion. I was assured by the waiter it was a main portion. He asked me if I wanted him to take it back to the kitchen to add more. I declined as we were going on somewhere and I didn’t want to delay. The waiter said he would do something with the bill. When we got the bill the waiter apologised and said that the owner/chef would not take anything off the bill as that is what he always serves for a main gnocchi. We ended up paying £48 ostensibly for 2 drinks, a starter and a pizza. Not worth it. But much worse was the chefs arrogant attitude, and sending the waiter to explain. Needless to say, we will not be going there again

We had a really nice meal here which was made even better by the lovely service. I gather the lady has recently taken over this Italian family restaurant and was so enthusiastic about it, it was hard not really enjoy it. With a more rustic feel about the place, the food was typically traditional Italian. I love places like this where the owner really wants to please their clients, so I really wish them all the best & hope to return when we are next passing through Westerham.

Unfortunately the service I was given a couple of weeks ago was just appalling. A week previously I had a take away from Sicily and it was missing a main of calamari. When I got home I phoned and spoke to a very nice lady who had served me. She apologised greatly and said she had put a note to say that next time I would be given a refund off of the next payment. When I came to pick up the new order I was told there was no record of that and I was accused of trying to get a free meal. When I had placed my order I explained to the person in charge and then when paying I was told that the original lady had left and a new diary had been started so they would not give me a refund. I have used this restaurant for years now and I will never go back again.

We visited for an early evening meal for my wife’s birthday together with our 5 year old daughter. The food was excellent and used good quality ingredients. The manager couldn’t have been more friendly and it was amazing to see that they take diversity and inclusion very seriously with some great help waiting the tables. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Visited this restaurant for the first time whilst in Westerham and were not disappointed the food was excellent and the owner came over to chat to us as well.

Last minute booking for 50th birthday. Staff were absolutely brilliant. Sat us in the window seat as requested and the young waiter did a great job with the women in the group, even though they’d had a few too many. Food was great and it’s a great location looking over the green.

Such a lovely restaurant. The service was brilliant, lovely wee Irish waiter who was very helpful. We loved the food so authentic and fresh seafood pasta was amazing. The entertainment with singer who played the fiddle was good craic!

I'd like to write a review about the restaurant sicily! I heard so many mixed reviews since they changed there name both good and bad. The portion sizes are a tad small for the price's but the customer service is absolutely outstanding! They are so welcoming and the food taste lovely. Me and my family was also very bowled over to see sicily giving a young man with disabilities equal opportunities within the work place. Had the best evening and will definitely be returning. ***** 🥰

Had a spontaneous meal out here the other day. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by the most friendly staff. The restaurant is cosy and the newer decor really gives off a good vibe to the place. The food was really great, tasted fresh and the service was very quick. Had a great touch with a jazz performance on as well - we will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend 😊

We chose this restaurant as we live in South Darenth and our friends live in Epsom so Westerham was an ideal place to meet. The food was lovely and the service good. We didn't realise when we booked that they have live entertainment most Saturdays which was provided last night by a multi instrumentalist and singer called Neil who was very good. A very enjoyable night will definitely be returning.

Traveling through westerham looking for somewhere to eat came across Sicily Italian restaurant, pleasant setting , outside dinning available, staff courtesious , polite, served quickly , spaghetti carbonara, tuna pizza ,chips , salad, drinks , reasonable price ,

Perhaps we picked an off day. The pizzas were ok, although the very few bits of chicken were dry and stringy. Not much veg on the vegetarian pizza either. The mixed salad was mainly iceberg lettuce with a few slices of cucumber, a couple of tomatoes and two slices of radish. Our sparkling water arrived as one slimline tonic and one lemonade and the milk was off in our coffees! Wine was just passable. Service was not bad but all in all a very underwhelming experience.

Benidorm comes to Westerham. Garlic bread was good, rest of our food was disappointing at best and very overpriced. Live singer made it difficult to hold a conversation. Service poor and inattentive, a very long hour and a waste of £100.

Had a really fun experience tonight, mainly because of Maryam, she was so friendly and accommodating. Our party had allergies and dietary requirements which were more than accommodated for. The food was fresh and delicious, nice music and atmosphere. Will def be back!

Cool little place. Eclectic decor and a great spot on the village green...had the four cheese gnocchi and antipasto plate which was delicious!

Have been here twice. Both times the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They are very good with children. They have high chairs and toys. The pizza is very good.

Lovely little restaurant, we had an excellent authentic Italian meal, with a bubbly waitress who couldn’t be more helpful. It was quiet, but it was Monday evening. Definitely recommend it.

We visited Sicily as it had always looked so nice from the outside and we are always on the lookout to try new restaurants, but we had a sinking feeling when we entered as we were the only four diners until another couple came in half an hour later. It was a Friday night and no-one else came into the restaurant apart from a group of people who had ordered takeaway pizza. The food was of very average quality and did not live up to our hopes of tasting genuine Italian cooking. The wine was expensive, as was the beer, and although we did not drink very much, nor did we all have three courses, the bill for four people was almost £200, which was, frankly, ridiculous. The restaurant seems to be in two minds as to whether it wants to be a takeaway pizza outlet or a genuine restaurant serving good quality Italian food. It cannot be both, as was clearly demonstrated by our experience that night. We hope the owner can make a success of this restaurant, but there are many much better ones in the area and as things stand it is difficult to see how Sicily will survive in its current format. We will not be returning unless we hear that things have improved.

Fantastic service, fresh food and %100 the best pizza around

Loved this! It’s a little gem run by a lovely lady. Great place to support local business and to also have good quality food at great prices. Would highly recommend. I had the pizza which was a great size and price, very delicious.

Such a shame but had a really bad meal here. The restaurant has so much potential but seems to be poorly organised. Went for dinner on a Friday evening and there was only 3 or 4 other customers in there so not super busy, us and the table next to us ordered starters that never came. 1 hour and 30 mins later we had to ask how much longer for the food, when just our mains came. We had finished our mains and the starters still hadn’t come. One of us ordered tagliatelle but actually it was a small portion of spaghetti.. They had also run out of all rose wine. All of that aside the food was quite nice and the place has a lot of potential so it was a real shame that it was such slow service with meals we ordered not turning up/not what was advertised on the menu!

We had a Valentine’s booking, for 8pm, arrived 10-15 mins early and were shown to our table immediately. The boss realised how closely packed we were and promptly moved us to a more spacious area. We didn’t ask, or complain, she simply saw it wasn’t ideal. Each table was decorated with a red rose & 2 Lindt chocolate balls. We ordered a G&T and a Peroni, both arrived swiftly. The G&T was a disappointment and I do feel this needs improving. It’s cost them a star to be honest. The boss got me another G&T, obviously at extra cost, and it was still not right - so 2 G&Ts left. I think the gin was the issue as the bottle of tonic was Schweppes. The Mr also had a Bierra Moretti. The food was nice. Not great, but nice. Such a huge variety on offer it was difficult to choose, but we opted for the stuffed mushroom, and Caprese salad to start - both lovely. Presented beautifully too. Our mains were salmon with perfectly cooked pasta (the lack of salmon let it down) and a meaty pizza with the thinnest base I’ve ever had! Lovely! Loads of cheese, plenty of meat! We were too full for dessert, and didn’t look at the menu, so can’t comment. Service charge was added to the bill, which totalled £75

Nice food good service friendly atmosphere

Went for dinner tonight for the first time. Was quiet as a Monday night. Very warm welcome and the food was freshly cooked and delicious! Maisie the waitress was so friendly and nothing too much trouble thoroughly enjoyed our evening. They also confirmed could cater for gluten free and the owner very aware of contamination issues. We enquired as our son is coeliac. Would absolutely recommend.

The food is amazing, fresh and made from scratch, a rarity these days. The restaurant reminded me of times gone by before mediocre food became acceptable. In my opinion all that is missing is a desert trolley (in my dreams : ) The service was very good, quick, came to check on us , and asked if all was OK several times throughout the meal. Give this place a go, you will not be disappointed.

Great food and great service. Maisie was an excellent, friendly and hospitable host. We enjoyed some live music with some nostalgic Christmas songs. The Siciliana pizza was the best I’ve had in a long time.

My friend and I had such a lovely experience here! I hadn't been for years and didn't realise that the new owner was so nice & that it is a much better restaurant than it used to be years ago! Cosy, tasty food, good vibe and lovely drinks! This is a great casual spot for friends and we will definitely be coming back! Westerham needs somewhere like this 👍

Went for a quick dinner with my son. The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 7:30 on a Saturday evening so the atmosphere was non-existent. Waiter was friendly but had limited English and hovered around the table which made us feel a bit uncomfortable....

We booked a table for 12 of us on a Saturday night and all had a great experience from start to end. Metti and Dillon looked after us very well and ensured we all had what we needed at all times. Generous portions and reasonable prices another feedback we got of our party. I didn't catch the owner's name, but she was very attentive and very friendly with our kids, which made their experience enjoyable too. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a laid back but exquisite dishes. See you soon x

Lovely experience at this restaurant on a Monday evening. Owner was very accommodating and the pizza was perfectly doughy. Plus draught beer at a restaurant is always a bonus.

This place is a gem. The food is fabulous, delicious Italian cusine. We went as a family of 3 and had pizza, seabass and seafood pasta. Both dishes were fresh and plentiful portions. The house wine was also great! We have already booked our next visit 😊 Thank you all, for specially the very kind waiter who kindly gave toys to my 3 year old to play with.
