Excellent find had a lovely meal here for 4 people, attentive but not intrusive. Very tasty carbonara and lasagne and the boys said the pizzas were tasty too. Offered a hot apple juice with pink peppercorns and spices 😋 hmmm tasty. Would recommend for a visit.

We booked for a Wednesday evening to celebrate our anniversary, the food was superb. Hats off To the chef !! And the staff. It all made for a really special evening & was a very personal & pleasant experience! Highly recommend & please note this is an independent family run restaurant not a big chain. Also a Italian shop adjoins with lots of exclusive food goods to cook at home.

My wife and I have been regular guests at Marco and Renata’s fabulous Italian for more years than we care to remember. This evening will be our last for a while and we are truly upset. We are moving home to Lancashire and try as we might they won’t open a restaurant near where we will be living! What are we to do…come back a couple of times a year to eat is our answer. They are a lovely couple with a fantastic restaurant/food and great staff. If you are in Sevenoaks then you will absolutely not be disappointed eating here. Enough said other than we wish them both continued success with their passion to serve great Italian food! Mike & Alison xx

This is a good Italian restaurant with a very simple/basic and short menu but overall the quality is good. Service is excellent, especially the Polish guy. Booking can be a challenge they try and push 6 pm and 8pm as the only 2 options, who wants to eat at 6pm. I was saddened to see the owner lose his rag with a customer (over what I don't know ) when I visited the shop a while ago. Not a good look! He clearly needs anger management lessons.

It’s such a shame that you cannot go with the whole family… children under 10 not allowed so I doubt I’ll ever go back. The food I’ve had before has been quite nice but no point bothering if you are a family with young children.

Really dissapointing. The waitor said that we would need to wait a while for our food because they were busy and offered us some bread to keep us going. Only to ne charged £9 for it. The food was very average. Won't go again sadly.

I have been going to Marcos Sevenoaks for 5 years, ever since I moved to the area, and have always liked the restaurant and their food. However, a few weeks ago my wife and I ordered a takeaway to collect. On my way to the restaurant to collect the food, I unfortunately received the news that my Grandmother had passed away. Because of this, I had to divert and obviously was not able to collect my order. Whilst I understand the inconvenience that this must have caused, I was incredibly surprised to wake up to 6+ missed calls from an unknown number the next day. When I answered the next call, it was the owner of the restaurant shouting at me down the phone, in what only can be described as a fit of rage. I calmly apologised and explained that I had had a family emergency the day before, however the man kept shouting down the phone at me and eventually slammed the phone down on me. Whilst I understand the frustration that customers not collecting their order would cause, this experience has massively tainted my view of the restaurant. I have been a loyal customer for 5 years and will not be returning. The rudeness and aggression that I received over the phone was uncalled for and lacked any kind of reason - I apologised multiple times for not collecting my order and tried to explain my recent bereavement, however was just hung up on and shouted at. Not happy at all with the experience and will sadly not be returning here.

Had a large Group lunch for 12 here a month ago. We All really enjoyed the amazing afternoon, the food, service, ambience. Great value. Back again for our son’s birthday, he just didn’t want to go anywhere else. The pizza, arancini, bruschetta, pasta, parmigiana, seafood. Incredible. A proper family event. Thank you. Love the restaurant and deli is a weekly must and took food to go as well. Marco, we love you Guys. Xx

The restaurant has a nice ambience and we received a friendly greeting in Italian. The meals were rather average (spaghetti bolognaise and pasta with chicken and peas and cream sause). I could have cooked the same at home for a third of the price.

Visited for a meal on Mother’s Day, service was friendly, excellent and both waiters were super attentive without being overbearing, just genuinely courteous. Music and ambiance was ideal. Food was really delicious and really good value for the portion sizes - which were generous! Definitely will re-visit, just need to learn not to be too tempted by the vast arrange of items in the delicatessen (which were also very good) on the way out!

Nice enough, pleasant modern looking restaurant. Tiny portions of food. I've honestly never seen a smaller lasagna and tiramisu. Give me a small, dark, authentic family run Italian joint with red and white check table cloths and value for money portions any day.

My husband and I have been to Marco for many years and we are never disappointed. Great friendly staff and a great chef that cooks delicious food. Also a good choice of wines and beers makes this restaurant a great place to enjoy a good italian meal.

Try yo get a table at 20.40 for 2 just to be told that the kitchen was closed.

Best Italian place in the county

Super friendly restaurant with italian food shop adjoined. Great treats and general food products to purchase. Toilets are excellent but could do with some nice fancy hand soap and aftershaves to complete it.

Went there once to buy some cannolis. Realised I needed the loo so went round the back. When I came back to the counter the owner Marco stormed up to me calling me a “rude man”. Then shouted “goodbye” at me until I left.

Good menu. Appropriate prices. Attentive service. Quality wine. And then a great selection of things to buy in the shop at the end of the thank you!

Very good quality food, the gnocchi with gorgonzola in particular was excellent. We were a part of three and had three courses each, we thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes. Highly recommended.

A wonderful family restaurant on Sevenoaks High Street. We have been several times and the food, service and ambiance is always great. Last night our girls had pizza while I had the spinach and ricotta tortellini which tasted very fresh. I can also recommend their tiramisu and chocolate fondant desserts. We will be looking forward to returning.

Had a anniversary meal, at Marco’s and had to put a review on how great a evening we had Marco is a very hands on guy and hospitality was fantastic. My starter I had calamari best I have ever had . The main veal in a fantastic sauce . And the pudding was also fantastic

Marco’s is our “go to” restaurant in Sevenoaks. Friendly, great service and tasty food and wine. The added benefit of the deli just adds to the story (we just love your olive oil Marco).

Small family run business that serve great food. Dropped in for lunch mid week and food and service up to usual standard. Coffees are also very good. Expect a cheeky comment from the table staff, they treat you like family.

Really bad experience. Felt rushed & as for the food - not good at all. My partner had spaghetti Bolognese. It looked like they forgot to put the Bolognese part on & he received plain spaghetti on its own! After mains we were offered coffee/deserts & decided on just the bill & have coffee at home instead, the male waiter then kindly offered us sambuca & thought how kind why not! Note, this was the waiters offering to us, not ours. Upon receiving the bill, I recognised a strange charge of £13.60 & enquired. They said it was for the sambucas?? Couldn't believe it, we were so insulted, the cheek of it & they also charged us for the olives/bread which they suggested upon arrival too!! Absolute insult!!!! They have their ways to add on all the unnecessary extras, absolute con! Pizza Express opposite was a far better experience & we have high standards!!

Marco's offer a good selection of Italian food, including my favourite pasta bucattini which is not easy find. Highly recommend.

Enter through the gift shop. That is, you’ll see so many lovely Italian products you’ll want to buy them before eating. The atmosphere is flexible and relaxed but feels authentic. Children are welcome and nothing felt rushed. The staff are -in the best way possible- in the background. They come at just the right time, hold back if you’re mid-sentence, efficient and friendly. You really should order wine, but if you want beer, they have some on draught. Either way you won’t be disappointed. The sharing starter is absolutely excellent, perfect for 2 or 3 to whet your appetite. The choice of mains is the full range of classics (Calzone to Sea Bass to Nduja), giving scope to stay safe or explore something new. A thoroughly lovely place to eat. Buon appetito!

This Italian family owned restaurant is the best one in Kent! The food is just amazing, all freshly made and the service is second to none. We do not live locally and are willing to travel 70 miles to eat here. They also have a fabulous deli and shop where you can but all sorts of delicious food items from Italy. We were lucky enough to go last week and was delighted at how the entrance has been decorated for Christmas, it's just magical, we can't recommend this restaurant highly enough and are already looking forward to returning next month.

Cold, bland, and small. The worst takeaway I have ever had. Save your money and have a cold tin of spaghetti hoops.

This is the best pizza you will ever eat. Full stop. Now on to everything else. As well as a great restaurant it's also a nice delicatessen run by Marco and Renata who are both fabulous people.

Wednesday night takeaway in lockdown. Superb, amazing burrata as ever followed by delicious pizza and pasta, generous portions. We love the cardboard packaging too.

We had heard of Marco's and the reviews were good. We are an older couple not used them before. Hospital appointment a little shopping in Sevenoaks thought we would visit Marco's. Walked in my husband said coffee as he always does as a reply to a lack luster can I help. We only serving lunch and we are booked. Two ladies were leaving the table in the front we asked if we could have a coffee there No we are only doing lunch was the unfriendly reply. We will never know if Marc Sevenoaks food is good bad or indifferent but we do know their customer service is pretty dreadful. However if you are looking for a friendly helpful establishment Basil is great good coffee and food.

Top marks for this establishment. The cafe/shop has great Italian food stuff which is hard to find in the supermarket. The restaurant is amazing. Great wines and the food is superb. It’s a family business with their finger on the pulse of the customers love. Big up for Marco.

Been here several times, every time a very friendly welcome. The restaurant entrance you walk through their Deli, this is a very nice touch it shows that this is genuine real Italian food. The food is very delicious, each time I visit I try something new. the starters all very good. Pasta dishes excellent and the Pizza's superb. Never managed a desert here yet, but did order some cannoli to take back to the office.

Three of us went here last night for an early supper and were truly delighted with everything. We had the sea bass, veal and calves liver...all cooked beautifully and really tasty. They have some great wine as well.Even though the place was busy the service was excellent.We have already booked our return visit!

The staff here couldn't be friendlier and the coffee is by far the best in Sevenoaks. The cappuccino is divine and the pasties are delicious.

Visited for morning coffee and wanted to try Marco for a change.Despite only a few people being in the seating area we were left waiting and a couple who came in after us were served before us.These are plenty of coffee shops in Sevenoaks so will revert to one which can organise a few tables in order.

We visited following a pre-Christmas visit to Sevenoaks, as we were 6 plus a buggy I booked in advance. This was a first visit have identified it as a convenient place to eat having visited 'Up & Running' opposite previously. The menu is fairly limited, however we were delighted with the choices we made. I started with the calamari and courgette, served in a tempura type batter, this was light and tasty. I moved on to the Saltimbacca served with small, herby and crispy roast potatoes that were particularly nice. The service was not quick, I suspect everything was prepared to order and it was all served hot. Staff were friendly and accommodating and were happy to engage in light banter, especially when they discovered that the buggy was of Italian manufacture.A pleasant experience and I would happily visit again.

After just returning from living in Venice for 6 months a number of my work colleagues directed me to Marco for some authentic Italian food. The overall dining experience was most disappointing. The waiter appeared disinterested when taking our orders for both drinks and food, and when the food did arrive it had a long hair in it: most unappetising. When we politely asked to change it the plate was removed with no apology. Quite some time later another plate of food was provided (by which time my food had gone cold) and the waiter then sarcastically pointed out that the hair was from ourselves and not the kitchen staff. Appalling customer care which was compounded by an attempt to include a discretional service charge for a table of two! To be honest in future I suggest you will get better service and attitude at the Pizza Express across the road which is a pity as I prefer to use independent restaurants rather than big chains. Avoid.

A simple menu of unfussy Italian classics, done really well. Wonderful.

first visit was great, sadly our second visit left us feeling that we were invisible to the staff.left waiting too long to be served for drinks when we were seated,although they were not very busy.Meal was ok but the experience overall was of neglect and indifference,we hoped to make this restaurant a regular haunt for the future but will not be returning. very surprising considering Italian hospitality is usually exceptional.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times and it never lets you down.Beautiful traditional italian food, very welcoming staff and a lovely italian delicatessen shop, a real gem in Sevenoaks can't wait for my next visit!!!A little tip the "Saltimbocca alla romana" is an amazing dish.

Great food, staff welcoming good prices

Found ourselves after a long drive in Sevenoaks, hungry and in need of some good food. Chose Marco because it was directly opposite to Pizza Express which in our desperation we may have gone to but glad we didn't. Great Welcome, friendly, efficient staff and terrific food. We will be back.

I had pasta from Marcos on Deliveroo. It wasn’t the best if I’m honest. The portions were very small, especially for the price. I probably wouldn’t eat there again

Really tasty pasta and friendly service here. My dish was full of nduja and garlic, my wife's tortelloni was really thin and seemed to have been made fresh. Kids enjoyed their version (kids menu £7 all-in including juice and ice cream). Worth booking.

Very good independent Italian, good food and wine at reasonable prices

I always go to Marcos when my sister visits and we always get the same meal it’s so good. The calamari and courgette fritti are a favourite as the batter is so light and crispy. The pizzas have a thin base and all the toppings are delicious. If you have room, you must try their ice cream, the hazelnut is excellent.

Visited here on a sunny Sunday afternoon, super friendly service, lovely restaurant environment and very tasty authentic Italian food !
