Great service and interaction from coffee hut and shop with my 53 year old autistic brother who is very/over sociable. Also let us use toilet which was closed. Coffee great, inclusion greater!

four of us stopped for coffee and cake. After taking the orders, the guy behind the counter seemed to struggle with the coffee machine. After 40 minutes, we had to ask for our money back as there was still no sign of the coffee and no communication on how much longer we would have to wait. It then took another 15 minutes to get a refund with the original assistant disappearing, having to go inside, the new server disappearing and a very insincere apology. Problems happen but a simple apology, offer of tea or instant coffee or even a cold drink would have helped. The worst service and attitude I have experienced for many years. Definitely won’t be going back.

Love this place. Great setting, some fantastic local produce and friendly staff. Boxes ordered regularly throughout lockdown and never disappointed.

How long does it take to make a coffee. Unbelievably slow and seemingly inept. Shocking. A bad idea to come here!

After queuing for almost an hour (only two people allowed in the shop at a time which i understand), I was surprised to see how small the shop was. It was pleasant but the prices are shocking. £4.75 for a small jar of jam that I could purchase from another farm for half the price or even visits Knights who sell lovely jams! I purchased strawberries - I won’t even tell you the price as it hurts but sadly two days later it had gone bad. I tried to save some of it but gave up and threw the cut strawberries back in the box to throw in the bin. I would have expected the strawberries to be fresh but obviously not. I love Hewitts farm. Such good value. Unfortunately I will not be visiting this farm shop again.

This deli has been extended to incorporate far more goodies! Karl sources these from far and wide and shows his expert knowledge.I have been many times and can recommend the local ham, the Bix cheese, the locally cooked cakes -in particular the salted caramel brownies. Ok so the car park is a bit uneven but the location is rural with a stream and bridge to the shop -seats outside and planters -a lovely find on a sunny day and just across from the Westerham brewery with its bar and restaurant and also has food vans selling seafood and burgers at weekends - a lovely little oasis

This wasn't a planned visit but a ‘we are here, let’s look’ and it is well worth a detour. The owner, Carl, has a great selection of cheeses, he knows the provenance of each one and was quick to pick up on what we liked. We tasted quite a few cheeses before making our selection and were even happier when we tasted them at home. Some unusual British and local cheeses - we will be back before Christmas. The shop also stocks a lovely selection of other products.

Took a wheelchair-bound elderly gent for coffee. There were disabled parking spaces but the carpark surface was uneven with large stones scattered across it. The path to the first floor coffee shop/deli was covered with a smooth surface but between this and the foot of the ramp was a gravel walkway very difficult to negotiate, having to drag the wheelchair through the deep gravel and at the top of the ramp was a very small landing meaning that the pusher had to be very careful not to step back onto the flight of steps when turning the chair. When exiting the café there was another dodgy moment trying to turn the wheelchair at the foot of the ramp, Do not attempt to access this café with a wheelchair unless very confident you can keep control of the wheelchair.

A small but very interesting deli and farm shop selling bread, eggs, a wide selection of cheeses, fruit, traditional pies, hot and cold smoked charcuterie and fish, pickles, conserves, marmalades, oils and preserves and soft and alcoholic drinks. Specialises in local and British produce. Good for ingredients to go into a special meal or for something a bit different. It is located just across the car park from Westerham Brewery.

Have been to Brands loads of times but never eaten in the kentagon up until now, pleasantly surprised when we decided to try the breakfast. Good value taking today’s prices into account and quality ingredients cooked well. Did have to queue up but the service was quite speedy, it was nice to sit down and eat / warm up on a cold January day.

We really liked it, the service was spot on and the food was great. The only complaint was the volume of the TV. Perhaps we are just getting old! The menu was quite small, but they also had two specials on offer on top of the standard menu. All food, I believe, is home cooked, so the smaller menu is completely forgiven on that score. One of us had the burger and the other the chilli. Both meals were excellent and really nicely presented. We also shared a starter, which was equally as good as the mains. All the staff were really good and the pub had a lovely atmosphere, really traditional which we love. The rugby was on the television in the area where we were seated, and there was just one person watching it. On full blast, it was difficult to have a conversation at all, which did slightly spoil the occasion, we did mention it to the man as he had the remote, but he was obviously a rugby fan, having said that we did enjoy it and would like to return. Thank you.

The food at The Fountain is, for a pub, truly and consistently stunning. Everything home-made on a varied and changing menu (almost always with specials of the day, including a top-notch and generous sized Pie), the dishes reflect Chef Fern’s wide travels and culinary expertise, with ingredients carefully sourced. We’re not local to the area but the food is so good and it’s such a welcoming (and very dog-friendly) pub, courtesy of both co-owners, Fern and Toulah, the Fountain has become our (and our dog’s) lunchtime “local”. On our most recent visit, we had a starter of incredibly tender Octopus on a bed of puréed potato and leaves, followed by the Fish of the Day - perfectly-cooked Cod with a Chorizo crumb with perfectly-poached free-range Egg on top, with accompanying veg. DELICIOUS. Do yourself a favour and visit this gem of a pub in Cowden.

Always a pleasure visiting. One of my favourite pubs to visit. Amazing food, friendly staff and a very good drinks selection. The vibe of the pub is amazing and and really somewhere to visit. I will be back soon and many times after.
