Best pub roast you can get! Just as good as home cooked but without all the prep or clearing up…..even the roast spuds are crispy and not reheated like most pubs. Has become our monthly treat with friends.
Food was good. The atmosphere was top notch as was the service. We spent a lovely relaxed Sunday evening with my in-laws from the USA and they thoroughly enjoyed it.
A very quirky pub with a good community vibe. Full of bric a brac. Popular for food. Has a pool table. Mutiple rooms. Outside space includes a raised platform. Sadly only one resl ale on our visit, a very good Timothy Taylor's Landlord.
Coffee shop located inside Tescos. Seems to suffer problems with its dishwasher they have an official sign printed to state it’s out of order. Staff seemed more interested in preventing people sitting down from 1 O’clock on a Sunday. Did have the misfortune to go there for a coffee once and find due to a problem with their machine no coffee was available. Shame I never knew before my 2 mile walk to get there.
A brilliant quiz evening hosted here on Wednesday, food was delicious, served hot. Spotted Dick was amazing. Phil runs a good restaurant, everyone is lovely and friendly.
I don't want to give a bad review to a family owned restaurant. But there was so much wrong with this place that is easily fixed.
The staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving and while we were there there were 2 tables full of dirty plates and cups that stayed that way the entire time while the staff enjoyed chatting. If I am eating in with sandwiches and a salad I don't really want to eat out of takeaway containers, the least that can be done is to put it on or give us plates. The food offering is mediocre at best and nothing of any substance that is hot. It is like no real thought has been put into what is being offered, for example soggy croutons with salad, basic would not be difficult to offer soups etc. Overall pretty poor TBH
Visited for the first time yesterday lunchtime with family, absolutely gorgeous. Empty plates all round. Fantastic, friendly service too. Could not fault anything. Wanted to thump my Son when I saw his cheesecake, but still enjoyed my crème brulee. Will definitely be back..
Stopped off on Sunday Night on way back from Hastings. Food was good and plentiful. Staff were chatty and when asked for more garlic sauce didn't grumble. The only issue was that because it is a takeaway, the door was left open on quite a chilly evening.

Cheeky. They say buy 1 get one free but you have to spend double the amount of money to qulify. I hate shops that treat customers like idiots. So you order a large pizza £12 collection deal. But they charge you £24 so thier deal is a RIP OFF and thwy are liars right!
I stopped Monday 17th March. Was hoping for the pub to be honest, but well... Pretty impressed with the fish n chips. Had a middle of skate, chips, curry sauce and a Fanta. All cooked fresh to order. All good. Would recommend if ya either local or in the area. Oh, and good luck getting the pub going lads. Top job 👍
