We ate at The Royal George for my husbands birthday. There was 17 of us all together and we had a Sunday Roast. We were late in booking as we had been let down by another venue. Ruth and Leon the proprietors were fantastic in accommodating us at the last minute. The roast was splendid with a choice of 3 meats, plus a vegetarian option. Plenty of vegetables. Some of us had desserts too which were lovely, not needed but essential for a birthday. We were made very welcome and will certainly be going again.

Best pub roast you can get! Just as good as home cooked but without all the prep or clearing up…..even the roast spuds are crispy and not reheated like most pubs. Has become our monthly treat with friends.

Sunday lunch - fantastic roast. Great value and book in advance. The attached Malaysian also fantastic. Great food, brilliant atmosphere in a brilliant pub.

Although stated on the website was open on arrival was closed total waste of our time. We're just going to have morning coffee and biscuits travelling home after Christmas.

On their pub sign, the Royal George advertised to be opened until 9.30 on Sunday nights. We arrived at 8.30, quite hungry and without food in our accomodation. They told us they were shut - we asked for some basics - such as uncooked rice, or bread, which they were also unwilling to provide.

Drop in for a quick drink. Didn’t eat this time. Very friendly staff and they really looked after the kids. Busy which was nice to others enjoying themselves.

Lovely restaurant which is even open on Sunday evenings. The chef was an absolute delight and made sure everything we ordered was to our liking. What a lovely place and the food was remarkably excellent. Can’t fault it

We went back as wanted to support local business and carvery before was so lovely. No carvery which did throw us out but still great service and fantastic food. My 85 year mother had cabbage with duck and loved it so much as said she hadn't had cabbage like that for years. Very good and thank you

54, London RoadGood Malaysian takeaway and restaurant, situated inside a pub. We ordered a takeaway for collection - Crispy, chilli beef is particularly tasty! Overall, the food was fresh, fairly priced and the service was excellent. First time using this place and got lost on collection as we weren't expecting it to be located in a pub - we couldn't see a notice or sign anywhere and only found it by asking locally! Apart from that we were very happy. We'll be back!

1 Village Mews Little common, Roundabout, Bexhill-on-Sea TN39 4RZ EnglandThis place has a fantastic reputation for food and is consistently busy. A recent visit left me very underwhelmed. Food was average and prices toppish. All perfectly edible, but nothing special. The tofu was horrible and I left it. No one asked why. Won't be going back. The branch in Eastbourne is meant to be better.
