Sunday lunch - fantastic roast. Great value and book in advance. The attached Malaysian also fantastic. Great food, brilliant atmosphere in a brilliant pub.

Although stated on the website was open on arrival was closed total waste of our time. We're just going to have morning coffee and biscuits travelling home after Christmas.

On their pub sign, the Royal George advertised to be opened until 9.30 on Sunday nights. We arrived at 8.30, quite hungry and without food in our accomodation. They told us they were shut - we asked for some basics - such as uncooked rice, or bread, which they were also unwilling to provide.

Drop in for a quick drink. Didn’t eat this time. Very friendly staff and they really looked after the kids. Busy which was nice to others enjoying themselves.

Lovely restaurant which is even open on Sunday evenings. The chef was an absolute delight and made sure everything we ordered was to our liking. What a lovely place and the food was remarkably excellent. Can’t fault it

We went back as wanted to support local business and carvery before was so lovely. No carvery which did throw us out but still great service and fantastic food. My 85 year mother had cabbage with duck and loved it so much as said she hadn't had cabbage like that for years. Very good and thank you

54, London RoadGood Malaysian takeaway and restaurant, situated inside a pub. We ordered a takeaway for collection - Crispy, chilli beef is particularly tasty! Overall, the food was fresh, fairly priced and the service was excellent. First time using this place and got lost on collection as we weren't expecting it to be located in a pub - we couldn't see a notice or sign anywhere and only found it by asking locally! Apart from that we were very happy. We'll be back!

32-34 Cinque Ports StreetI visited Mahdi Lounge with my dad two weeks ago, and we were blown away by how good our experience was. We were visiting Rye for the day and since we’re both vegan we decided to try Mahdi Lounge for lunch as their menu is impressively clearly marked for vegan options. We were not disappointed! Not only was the food delicious, but the service was impeccable. The staff members are incredibly accommodating and go above and beyond to look after their customers. When we left, my dad accidentally left his hat on the table, and we realised this as we were walking down the street. We turned around to go back and get it, and a staff member was already running down the street towards us with the hat in his hand to give it back to us. Amazing service, amazing vegan food options! Highly recommended.
