Kerry's Cafe & Wine Bar in Rother

Gaps in tables were full of old food and extremely dirty. Not hygienic at all! We decided not to eat there after seeing this grime.

Love this place and dog friendly. Unfortunately the coffee has gone up to £3.55p rather expensive l feel .

Kerry’s is a little caf on the Seafront with good views and nice staff. Unfortunately their food does not match the service. Just had an awful sausage sandwich in there. The cheapest, really low quality sausages that didn’t even taste of meat. I couldn’t finish it. Only 2 small sausages in it. To charge £4.95 for that was cheeky. I am very disappointed. Told staff and they didn’t offer to reduce the bill or free drink to take away the taste. I am very disappointed.

Apparently best coffee in Bexhill-on-Sea when I commented on high price of £3.90 in a shabby environment (peeling wallpapering,dirty armchairs.The De La Warr is SO superior What about £4.40 for 2 slices of toast,? £3.00 for A teacake

Stop for drink and a snack. Was not disappointed, the menu is limited to what you really want. Cheese on toast should be called cheese with toast…and the home made tomato soup was delicious. Prices are moderate but I feel it was worth it as well as the view. A Must to stop at. Dog friendly too.

We live local always loved Kerry's but all through the summer it kept closing early so we went elsewhere we have lately noticed it is now open late so we went for a bottle and fish and chips from Minnie Bertha's lovely as always but we were the only people in need to advertise that now open till 8 still busy during the day but need to let people know it is now open late ,we know because our flat overlooks it and we have put it out there on social media but many who have come down and found it closed need to be informed even by a notice in the window

Only had a pot of tea at £2.65, and noticed food was prettyexpensive for a cafe. Ham and tomato sandwich £7.15! Way over the odds for the locality. Always a friendly welcome here.

Best coffee in Bexhill with a free sea view. Quick service happy staff. Popular outside seating but can be windy on side road tables, good sun trap on main Rd tables. Like most places keep an eye on the feathered rogue teenagers.

Lovely little cafe on the sea front. We enjoyed lattes and bacon butties which were good. Staff very nice.

Really nice place to grab a hot chocolate and a sausage sandwich. Staff are really pleasant and efficient. Will definitely use this place on my next visit

Very unimpressed with the quality of the meat in the sausage and bacon bap. The bap was floury. Not good value for money.

Nice to go in here for a change and not come out smelling of fish an chips Also if you have a black americano you are okay but you want a white americano the milk is an extra 30p bit cheeky I think will not come back

Need to bring back having papers. Nice to go someone to read and enjoy a tea. I used to go a lot. Now no reason to go there.

Bit pricey but it's on the seafront at Bexhill and the sun was shining, so why not. Staff were friendly and the break was very welcome.

Used to be better and now no newspapers anymore!!!. Used to have The Times and some others. And now only the Sun, which is not a real newspaper and some other tat. Used to go for a coffee and roll and read the paper. Nice while it lasted. sad times. Better to put the prices up on drinks and let it go back to what it was before.

we are local people from St Leonards coming out of lock down we walked Bexhill seafront almost daily and depending on time of day stopped at Kerry's for a coffee or a glass of wine, since then almost a year ago we moved to Bexhill across the road from Kerrys we popped in regularly , workman on our flat went to kerrys for bacon rolls, went out for walk or meal popped into kerrys for a last one , too wet to go out popped over to kerrys for a bottle { of very Good Rose wine] and fish and chips delivered from mini berthas a real bonus. Minnie berthas stating that hours are reduced but now the same with Kerrys, have watched over the last week or so people being refused as closing early even though advertised opening hours are much longer , tonight popped in for a glass on the way home at 4.45 said we are closing we said we will be quick ,so they served us ,just us and chess players left , blinds pulled down and shut for the evening such a shame, I have read previous reviews and they have commented on various aspects including decor and service but it has a charm and is a lovely place to sit and enjoy would be a real loss if it wasn't there

The menu has reduced a lot, we miss that. The location is great.

Fish and chips from next door were Great. Large portion although we only paid for small. Service very good coffee excellent

I always like to go here for a morning coffee on the weekend when I can. It is right on the sea front, dog friendly and opens early. The coffee is good too. 👍

Great if you like sausage and bacon baps. They do a veggie sausage option. You can also have toast. Also allow you to eat fish and chips from a neighbouring fish and chip. Waitresses bring the drinks to your table and are polite. Would go back again

This café used to be fantastic. However, the menu is now radically reduced and unbelievably today. We paid nearly £7 for cheese and tomato toasted sandwich that took over 40 minutes to arrive! It wasn't a bad sandwich, but it came without any garnish. I feel very sorry for the kids working there and they really were kids. Such a shame this used to be a very favourite venue of ours to go with the dog.

Had a cup of tea and a teacake. Nice place for refreshments, free newspapers to read whilst you relax.

I heard the older lady on the staff (owner/manager?) loudly talking to a junior staff member about me and my dog. Really loudly so I could hear but when I asked if she was talking about me she said No. She behaved like a school-bully. My dog was barking and I understood if it was annoying but I felt she would rather slag people off, passively aggressively, in the kitchen than have a quiet word. Very unkind and unnecessary. If you're having a bad day, don't come here to cheer yourself up.

Appalling not many people in here and tables full of cups tea pots tables dirty of food bits when we got our coffees had to ask for stuff to be taken away from previous customers or the young lady would have left it normally very good in here disappointing today

Very quirky, happy and dog friendly coffee shop. You can buy fish and chips from a few doors down and then eat them at a table, (with your dog) if you buy a drink too. Great idea.

Visiting with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. Served, then told within 15 minutes that they were about to close.... At 6pm despite being advertised as open until 8pm. Garbage

Understand that weather on Sunday was unexpectedly warm. Other eateries had queues, not this one. Few food items on drinks menu. Ordered cheese and tomato toasties. No tomatoes. Sausage and bacon sandwich. No bacon. We had Sausage sandwiches, white and brown, tea and apple juice. Carton. Very long wait , many uncleared tables. Did not see one wiped. I do not believe I have EVER had sausages like it. No idea what they contained as it certainly did not appear to be meat. Will not go there again. Three young staff dashing about.

Nice friendly little cafe. Good position right on the seafront. Very dog friendly. Handy tie in with Minnie Bertha's fish and chips 2 doors away, eat some of the best fish and chips in Sussex, in comfort, for the price of a drink.

A cafe/bar facing the sea. A quiet place to have tea and pastries and chat for a while. You can order something to eat at the "fish and chips" next door and they will bring it to you.

The two of us had a latte and a hot chocolate, and we shared a fruit brownie together (which came with two forks for us without request). A little pricey, but quality was nice! And the atmosphere was nice too, quite homely with a good view of the sea.

Filthy tables, rude staff. Waited over 10 minutes for a coffee that never came after being overcharged, asked for a refund and staff member mumbled obscenities under his breath. Whole place is dirty, with cobwebs and dead flies on window sills.

The ideal location, however; gross inside! Sticky crumb covered tables, dirty floor and grubby toilet! These things are basic hygiene, young staff stood around, not aware Who employs these people! Such a let down as looks nice from the outside. Would not go back or recommend!

I've only ever had a takeaway coffee here. However, visited several times and coffee always great and with friendly service every time.

Some chairs were dirty .Floors not been clean the lady said not been busy so why not clean the floor tables were sticky were had two children and there said table was sticky we got them clean the tables x look like cafe could do with good clean

Very disappointed as agreed to meet friends there for fish and chips from their nearby business but while we waited the chairs, tables and floors were appalling! Two members of staff standing around but oblivious to rubbish on floor! We had to ask for tables to be cleaned but still staff didn’t notice rubbish on floors. Will not go there again or suggest anyone else to go.

My wife and I went here for a coffee and a Bacon Bap, both of which were very good. The café itself is very clean, well organised, light and airy, with a good view of beach and sea. The staff are very courteous and efficient. I did find that cakes and biscuits etc were a little expensive in comparison to the savoury food on offer. Nevertheless, I would definitely return here. And we have done just that on numerous occasions! Still as good as before and, even though it was really very hot outside, there was a lively fresh breeze running through this café which kept the whole place cool; it was great sit in a cool place for a while.

The only nice thing was being able to sit outside near the sea front. Cheese sandwich nearly £7 and didn’t even have a garnish. Jacket potato was tiny and cost the same. Both tasteless. Total bill for 2 soft drinks, a jacket potato and a cheese sandwich was £20. Avoid if you can!

very disappointing. i rarely leave reviews, let alone negative ones, but …. the positives were a nice setting with a bit of a sea view, friendly staff & a decent pot of earl grey tea. the downside was 2 very expensive utterly mediocre toasted cheese sandwiches at over £7 each (not enough cheese, which wasn’t even melted & no garnish) , a sausage bap with tasteless sausage & 2 insipid lattes . nearly £30 for what was basically an unsatisfying snack for 3.

Needs an overhaul and some decent cakes! It felt grimey

Quirky little place, nice staff (mostly youngsters running it & they do a good job). Big plus is that you can eat your fish & chips there for the chippy next door.

Nice little caff facing the beach. Indoors or outdoors. Best thing about it is ordering chips from Minnie Bertha's a few doors down, who will deliver to Kerry's for you, so you can stuff their fantastic chips whilst having a nice hot chocolate or beer in Kerry's. (And they have one or two nice beers.) A deeply civilised arrangement.

Tonight it was " spot the dog " for it's service along with the meals delivered from ' Minnie Bertha's ' chippy...a good evening by all accounts.

3 glasses of wine and all is well…nice view of the sea…

Horrible! one of the server girls sneezed into my latte and thought i didn't notice and refused to make me a new one when I made a fuss. I will absolutely be taking this further! very disappointing service for somewhere that looks rather quite pleasant.

Wanted to eat here for breakfast with my family but couldn’t find a menu anywhere however I could see it was dog friendly. Went here and sat down - very crowded could barely move. The waiter couldn’t even fit through the walkways to get to each table! And there was absolutely NO vegan or vegetarian options at all! Disgusting in this day and age. So we had to pack everyone up again and find somewhere else. Not good at all.

Have lived in Bexhill for over 20 years and always loved Kerry's. Went there this morning at 11.30am for coffee when it used to be packed and you struggled to get seat in the old days. Completely empty this morning, I was the only person and it soon became clear why. The place was absolutely filthy, the faux leather chairs were all worn and had holes in them and the red fabric chairs were absolutely filthy, especially on the arm/hand rests. DIRE HEALTH HAZARD, will report them to authorities.

A little gem of cafe and bar. Very pleasant staff and quick service. Nice soup and bacon bap, coffee and a tea. Would visit again when in the area. Well behaved dogs welcome and a nice touch that you can buy treats and the money goes to the guide dogs charity.

Here you can find the most delicious Swiss ice cream Movenpick! Also light snacks such as toasted tea cakes, scones and sandwiches reasonably priced.
