The best restaurants in Battle Town Rother South East

I asked if sautéed potato’s were fried in butter or oil to be told no they are deep fried , i asked very nicely if they could use butter as im allergic to vegetable oil , to be told no that would use too much butter , and offered mash potato with my £30 ribeye steak . I bought my Son here a couple weeks ago for his 21st birthday and bought him the £65 Ribeye steak and spent £350 in total . It’s a Shame that they are happy to take my money but can’t spare a small amount of butter to sauté , which is how it should be done . Not deep fried . Terrible service no accounting for dietary requirements- definitely will not be coming back . Avoid

Always stop here for breakfast when we take my dogs to the vet. Dog friendly place, dogs always get a treat and a bowl of water. The staff are really friendly, there is a good choice on the menu but I usually have the big breakfast with tea. The food is good quality and always nice and hot. Prices are reasonable, but for me it's worth it as the food quality is so good. Everything is spotless. They cope with my wife's allergy well. The chef normally pops out to say "Hi". If you are in Battle, this is a great place to eat.

My Experience of the pizza shop is very good for pizza party (for kids) thay make pizza for kids and you can put any topping on it, then it gows in the very hot oven and it only takes around two minutes. It was amazing, This is a good place for pizza partys!

We had dinner here whilst staying locally. Excellent food: Smash burger Dirty loaded fries Beef chilli Bangers and mash - this was particularly good Drinks - the Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter is a good choice Couldn't comment on rooms So eager to eat I didn't get pictures, but food all well presented and good portions. Very good value for money

I have visited twice in the last few weeks for breakfast, always cooked fresh with good ingredients, friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend for a coffee or breakfast when in Battle, dog friendly too.

We were a tad late for the breakfast menu but the kind staff happily fixed us up a full english nonetheless, it was greatly appreciated! food was excellent and service was fab. will be returning!

Food was ok. Deep fried Camembert was delicious but to only get 5 pieces of calamari for £12 was deeply disappointing. Will take me a long time to get over that.

Definitely be ordering from this place again . Was absolutely delicious . Had chicken tikka on nan . Can’t wait to try the curry’s next thanks

Stopped off on Sunday Night on way back from Hastings. Food was good and plentiful. Staff were chatty and when asked for more garlic sauce didn't grumble. The only issue was that because it is a takeaway, the door was left open on quite a chilly evening.

Lovely rooms, great service and excellent value. Highly recommended!
