I was given a voucher for My birthday which included the tomahawk steak. A £70 bit
Of steak which my husband and I thought would be beautiful.
We asked for it to be medium instead it was mainly rare. It was chewy and fatty. Which we did not expect from a £70 bit of steak.
For my dessert I had a crème brûlée which was nice but the raspberries used as garnish had mould on it and when I said to the waitress she said she would tell the kitchen.
When we asked for the bill and commented on the fact that the raspberries were mouldy she was like well you don’t have much service charge ( this was because we had a voucher so they couldn’t charge us more service) to be the reason she couldn’t take any money of our bill.
All in all considering this was supposed to be a nice meal for me and the hubby away from the children I was totally unimpressed.

I ordered 2 lamb doners. I received very spicy naga doners instead. If I want a naga doner, I would order it. It was too spicy to eat. They nearly always fail to follow the customer notes, which makes me cross. The peri peri wings are very small with little meat on them. I would prefer the shoulder piece of the wings.

Ordered from this restaurant to find STRANDS OF HUMAN HAIR in my food. I called the restaurant to ask for a refund and their response was “sometimes the herbs make that happen”. Was told to speak to the delivering company as it’s their issue not the restaurants. I do have pictures of evidence as well but they didn’t seem to care.
We enjoyed a very fabulous lunch here on our visit to Oxford. Staff good, especially the front of house gentleman. Food well presented and very good. Would recommend a visit but probably make a reservation as quite busy.
Expensive and the quality and quantity of food is below average. Not atall recommended. Meat is definitely from the freezer and no flavour at all!
And salad is a pure joke!
The store's website said they had discounts, but the store clerk told me without any explanation that they didn't offer discounts, which made me feel uncomfortable.

Poorly executed franchise with staff who are aware website offers promotions withdrawn several months ago yet don’t raise to management, rather insinuate the website and customer are wrong. Totally obsolete customer service.
Would not recommend to anyone.
Nice little pub opposite a lot of busy attractions. I really enjoyed the interior but the tables outside would be perfect in better weather to watch people pass by.
Service was friendly and laid back. Beer was in good condition.
It used to be a very nice place, but now the upper floor is usually closed, and the food is not comparable with the one served when they opened the business . Another company's service in decline like other thousands.
I’ve always been a loyal customer of Cafe Nero, more speculation at the High Street store, where I’m consistently welcomed with warm and friendly service. I’ve also occasionally visited the Gloucester Green branch and have generally been satisfied with the service there as well.
I’m based in Oxford and commute to Bicester for work via train. This morning I made a detour to Gloucester Green specifically for your Luxury White Chocolate Mocha, which I love. Upon ordering, I mentioned to the male staff member that other stores usually fill the drink to the top. I wasn’t complaining—just pointing out the difference in service. He responded politely, but the female staff member nearby scoffed and laughed, then went on to explain why they “can’t” do that. I clarified again that I wasn’t arguing, just sharing feedback.
Unfortunately, my order was then made incorrectly—I received a Luxury Hot Chocolate instead. I returned to the store and joined the queue. The male staff member was kind and apologetic, admitting he misheard and offered to remake the drink, which I appreciated.
However, the female staff member—now at the front—looked at me with visible irritation. When I explained the mistake, instead of acknowledging it or apologising, she accused me of placing the wrong order. Her attitude was rude, defensive, and unnecessarily combative.
This experience left a very negative impression on me. I typically don’t leave reviews, especially as I’ve consistently received great service from your brand. But this interaction completely shifted my perception. Customer service should always reflect courtesy and professionalism—sadly, her behaviour did not.
This is customer service, and what I experienced this morning was the opposite of what should be achieved. Instead of starting my day on a positive note, I left feeling disrespected. I didn’t anticipate that popping in for a coffee to kickstart my morning would become such a negative encounter.
Since the change of management last year i'm sorry to say standards seem to have dropped. The curry used to be the best in Oxford, their proper chinese chicken curry was absolutely delicious, but now i find it hard to even finish my plate. The chow mein used to be fantastic, but is now oily and grim, and the szechuan chicken once so tasty is now fatty, greasy and tastes a bit odd. It used to be great takeaway, but sadly is not anymore.
