The best restaurants in Oxford South East

I really enjoy coming here. The staff is always very kind - I mean the staff I think are family members, esp the Grandma seems very sweet. The food is good with a sizable portion. The price at least for what I always order here has not changed for years. Highly recommended esp for students.

Gestor grosero del turno y no muy bueno para entender a la gente. Comida no muy caliente y para no mucha elección. Gran diferencia entre este y el centro de la ciudad.

We were a family group of mixed ages and mobility, the staff were so helpful about parking and answering our questions. We had a really great lunch. You can tell they have a proper chef, with creative and interesting dishes, all really well cooked. They were quite busy even on a weekday lunchtime but the service was attentive and friendly and helpful. Prices were slightly high but very reasonable indeed for the quality of food. There is a beautiful garden where you can eat outside but the weather was too bad. But it was comfortable in the garden room and in warmer weather you can go down to the river which runs past the bottom of the garden. I had the fish dish of the day and it was very good but we tried each others food and every one of us liked everything! . We would definitely go again to this place.

Nice bar. Especially outside area. Cheaper drinks than other places on the Cowley Road. It's a shame I had to leave such a bad review. But waiting over 1 hour 20 minutes for 5 Chicken Goujons isn't acceptable and to not even get an apology was a disgrace.

Would of given zero stars. Just had my food delivered. The chicken was not cooked properly, still quite raw. The chips were okay. The chicken wings were like they had been fried and left in oil and then refried. Would not recommend or go back

Una hora después, un tipo al azar vino a comprar y dijo que no puedo usar el enchufe - cualquiera que sea la razón de esa regla, claramente no tiene sentido dado que claramente no lo necesitaban y no podían vigilar la política en ningún sentido significativo. Luego 20 minutos después, alguien vino y dijo que no podía usar mi computadora portátil. tampoco tiene sentido dado que había un montón de mesas gratis, y dado que había estado trabajando allí durante tres días antes y nadie había dicho nada. básicamente reglas tontas que hacen que los clientes se sientan inoportunos. no volverá de nuevo.

i ordered a couple of shakes for me and my sister and they were delicious. the lady we were served by was welcoming and made the shakes which looked as good as they tasted. will be coming again

Brilliant portion, loaded fries. The front of house staff member from originally from Afghanistan was superb.

OK, the Barefoot Cafe must be a delightful place to get something sweet, I'm sure. I went in for coffee and a bit of laptop work, but did not get cake or a doughnut. My latte was weak and tepid, and the internet did not work, despite my having the password. Will not be back. To their credit, every table was full, so the sweets must be the draw.

Unfortunately had a really poor experience here. Staff weren’t friendly whatsoever, you get charged more by approximately £1 per item for eating in?? Despite not being given any different service whatsoever than if you were to take it away? School dinner type trays, take-away unnecessary plastic packing. You have to pay extra for soy sauce and wasabi…dirty tables, seats all stained with soy sauce, toilets dirty. Certainly won’t be returning here nor any other Wasabi for that matter.

Very nice place with good pub food. Some vegetarian options are available.

No fault of restaurant. Drivers fault. Food freezing cold

Starts to be crowded and very noisy after 3pm. Coffee is great though
