The best restaurants in Oxford South East

The atmosphere is great. The bartenders and regulars are very friendly and didn't shy away from a random conversation with a tourist. They made us feel very welcome which prompted us to go back the next day. I also enjoyed the food, it was very welcome after a decently long day in Oxford. They didn't have onion rings anymore but compensated with extra ice cream on the pudding.

Okay, the service wasn’t top speed. That’s fine, I chat in the mean time. Quality of the chicken burger? Absolutely clucking phenomenal. Perfect amount of mayo and lettuce ratio, with crunchy, moist chicken fillet (fantastic coverage) between two soft buns. A memorable experience. One for the Oxford tour guide bucket list, maybe?

There has never been a more closed place in existence. Don't get your hopes up.

Conocí a mi hermana la conocida escritora, autora y académica Dra. Sally Bayley aquí para ponerse al día después de Navidad y un té y cómo chocolate. Disfrutamos de una agradable puesta al día juntos, intercambiando nuestras historias de Navidad y Año Nuevo. La cafetería era muy agradable, cálido, con un ambiente agradable y tranquilo. Disfruté de la música que suena de fondo. Las instalaciones del baño eran buenas y cómodas, y la variedad de edad de elección de bebidas era excelente. Gracias amablemente!

how can you get simple food wrong ,had spring roll chips and curry sauce, spring rolls were ok but very little meat, half chips were raw and curry sauce was hot but didnt taste of curry .wont be going back . shame used to be really good

Ordered a takeaway this evening the food arrived in 20 minutes of ordering the food was absolutely beautiful chicken balti. chicken tikka rice and sagg pioneer it was so fresh and tasty full of lovely flavour and not greesy like other Indian restaurants I've ordered from I will definitely order again 😋

Excellent meal all round! Food was very tasty and hot (heat not spice!), portions were big and food was ready on time when i went to collect. Staff were very friendly and i though the price was very reasonable too. Will definitely be back.

Shut down for renovation until 2027!

Great to see the pub thriving after nearly losing it for ever. Good for pints and hanging out.

We booked a table as we were excited to see the changes made. There was no reservation however, we did not want to stay as it is now a sports pub with large screens and very noisy. Gone is the lovely comfy seating area at the front and the wonder photo of the organisation pub is partly hidden now! We shall leave this place to the students. Sadly

Tattoo barestaff asked me to leave after my food due to me taking some of my ecig.. understand couple of warning but after I order food. Blocking tab straight away. Obvious intentions. Disgusting and want be returning.

Shockingly empty at 6pm, but this meant service was super speedy. Unfortunately not a big fan of the Fanta flavour… I fell for the gimmick. Chips have also gotten crunchier I feel which is probably a pro for most people, but I miss when they were very mushy.
