Not good service no sense how to talk to custumers.

£5 delivery?, extorcianate , no, sorry, I've ordered plenty from you in the past... I'm going else where, Update in August 2024.... lovely at a decent price...no £5 delivery

Overpriced and underwhelming. Barely 3 king prawns in £13 curry, madness … do not recommend them as they are a very tasteless waste of money!

We ordered a curry Friday night, 17/11, my chicken Bhuna was spilt the lid was caved into the tray and it had leaked everywhere causing a mess but my main concern was the chicken, it tasted very odd and hard, which is interesting to read similar reviews on here about the chicken. I've never tasted chicken like it and so I'm pretty sure this is what has caused the bad stomach the following day and even my partners. The sauces themself were nice but wasn't at all spicy which it should have been a little. Delivery via deliveroo was on time.

Sorry to do this, as the service went above and beyond when they slightly messed up the order (only very slightly) and usually the food is great. But this evening, well it was vile. The chicken tikka, was unedible - literally so hard I could barely bite through it, the first tiny bit I did manage to eat had a really odd taste to it. I can't stress how wrong this is, to serve meat like this. I couldn't ever order from here again now, so so bad. Please investigate what happened to this chicken.

Well its just a take away delivery restaurant , first impression no one in the restaurant for service , have to knock kitchen then the manager came out , said he got lots of delivery order , ordered lamb biryani which came with mix veg curry , surprised asked for seprate raita , curd given with 2 slice of cucumber felt like someone making joke with my food , restaurant owner said i am selling this at the name of cucumber raita from last 25 years , i surprised people selling indian food and dont know difference between plain curd and raita , BRAVO , biryani no it was not even biryani just a pulao with over oil and very chewing mutton pieces , its really tough to find good indian restaurant in uk as most of bangladeshi people opened indian restaurant who even dont know how to cook proper indian food , poor service , poor food , had to ask for bill and even for mouth freshner too , just making the business doesnt matter customer is happy or not , doesnt matter customer love there food or not .

(Old customer) Who Read the reviews & thought OK “Let’s try again” … I Was let down AGAIN 😂 (-UK reviews) I Cannot complain on value for £…. BUT the Biryani has tasted of that OLD chicken for years & that frozen curried mix vegetables is getting boring now. Please change oils/food sooner I guess it’s OK for Rose Hill but that food needs a bit more life to it ✔️.Eat Half plate and left it … Kind regards

Dishes were well prepared and delivery was great.

After placing an order on Monday evening I was waiting to hear from them, they say 5-10 minutes, 30 minutes past and I could get hold of them, so I drove to the restaurant to find they were closed! Another 30 minutes later I received a message letting me know my order had been cancelled. On the other hand I tried a different place and enjoyed it very much. Cafe spice, update your opening times on google and maybe don’t accept orders if you are closed.

Always really good food, well sized portions, and quick delivery from Cafe Spice. It’s been my family’s go to curry house for over 10 years. We’ve tried loads of different things on the menu and it is always delicious. Thank you Team Cafe Spice!

Great food but have to be knocked down because they tell you 25 mins on collection 42 mins I'm still waiting for my food.....and it's like this every time, if you rate it just on the food it's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wow! First time ever trying this place! So so impressed! From the ease of ordering….to arrival literally of minutes within suggested time. Delivery driver was lovely and followed all instructions. Food was amazing! Definitely 5* rating. Can’t wait to order again! Not to mention the cheeky freebie’s! Xxx

Ordered chicken tikka masala and a prawn pathia to eat in. Shared a garlic naan bread and pilau rice. The chicken tikka masala was full of desecated coconut and the prawn pathia wasn't sweet and spicy. Two cams of coke and an uncomfortable conversation with the chef and all the staff about what our dishes should consist of we ate in an uncomfortable silence before being charged £36.00 I'm not normally one for review's but feel robbed and truly disgruntled by the experience.

Definitely good for take-out - offer 10% off for collection and they delivered a full meal to me within 30 minutes (Donnington Bridge area). Ordered (as a vegetarian): 89. Dupiaza (veggie version) - whole spices 🌶 garnished with onions 🧅 - £6.95 131. Mushroom Bhaji 🍄 -:£3.75 133. Saag Chana 🥬 - £3.75 144. Mushroom rice 🍚 - £3.50 153. Peshwari Naan 🥟 - £2.50 = £20.45 / a full bag of food for one. All magnificently delicious and filling. 😋 I hadn't eaten that day and this food (along with a 10cm tall easter egg) made me put on 2kg overnight. Very filling and felt good afterwards. One suggestion would be a size guide. Though this was good value food: I had no idea if what I was ordering was too much, too little, or just right. £20 seems alright but it was a LOT of food, and some portion guidance / control would be good. Still: far better than other take-outs I've had where you feel ripped off and still hungry. This food definitely hits the spot. 😋😁

had a very bad experience I found a load of stones and grit in the keema naan like eating sand and it put me right off half way through my meal I will not be going back ever and the guy I complained to had all the excuses not to give me a refund and then hung up on me extremely rude. I would give no stars if I could.

Oh my, definitely one of, if not the, best curries in Oxford! I've had takeaway from Cafe Spice several times and it never disappoints. Large portions of absolutely delicious curry and big naan at very reasonable prices means that this place can't be missed. Today we tried a few curries we hadn't tried before for a bit of variation, and all of the wild cards turned out to be just beautiful and tasty. Delivery was super quick and the food was piping hot when we got it. If you like curry, you need to get it here!

I’m a major fan of Indian restaurant, and this is my local.. I have one mate that does/did not eat Indian food.. This changed recently thanks to cafe spice.. That took the time to help him discover what was right for him.. with so many places offering similar menu, it speak volumes spending time with customers that need that little extra help..

This review is based on the food only (to sit in the restaurant is not great, you have to put up with the 'charming locals walking past swearing, smoking weed etc) The food here is GREAT, the best in Oxford., Things like the Bombay Aloo and Onion Bahji's are gorgeous and the meat is always good and not that processed shaped stuff you get in many takeaways. The Tandoori Chicken is highly recommended

Excellent food always freshly cooked with great quality ingredients

A surprising find in this parade of shops. The interior is very tasteful and modern. We were welcomed warmly by the friendly gentleman who was front of house. We’re glad we booked here as, although the bulk of their business is take-aways and home deliveries, there are a dozen tables. They don’t have a licence to serve alcohol but are happy of you take a bottle of wine & they provide glasses. The crockery was trendy and attractive. We had onion rice, Peshwari naan, tarka daal, a cauliflower & potato curry plus a chicken achar. All of it was delicious! I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food with real authentic taste! They do take out but also have great restaurant facilities. I will definitely be back. The staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend the mixed kebabs as a starter!

Went to this restaurant over the weekend. Staff service is fantastic however the food gave me an extreme upset stomach and my wife also had the same. Never would want to come back due to the experience.

After reading loads of reviews tried this place but very disappointing . The food was not fresh and taste was not like what it should be.Was expecting much more

Food good and staff friendly but prices on website and those in restaurant vary considerably. Staff had to take a screen shot of the book online and get 10% discount offer. Restaurant was not warm and had to sit in coats and we were amazed that it was unlicensed.

We had an excellent dinner here on a Saturday night. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good quality with generous portions, served promptly. The vindaloo lamb was very spicy and flavourful, also had the chicken tikka masala which was tasty. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Order from here a lot! Fantastic food (chips are a bit hit and miss mind) but other than that love it. Don't go no where else. Always polite to us.

I must say, the quality of the food has been excellent every time I have ordered. The lamb biriyani is just amazing as well as the hotness of the curries too. The prices are really good and deliveries most happen rather quickly. Great service and staff.

I ordered from Cafe Spice through Just Eat yesterday. The experience was terrible and the service was the worst that I have ever received from a restaurant in my entire life. Firstly the order was late (expected arrival time 20:10), when I called to ask where it was (at 20:15) I was told that it was 'one minute away'. It finally turned up at 20:26 and was lukewarm. I called to complain and the person on the other end of the line told me to hold while he got a manager, at which point he put the phone down on me. I ate the food, which was ok, not the best, and this morning I have been unable to be greater than ten feet away from a bathroom. All in all I would recommend avoiding Cafe Spice, or Cafe S***e, as I will now refer to it. I would have left a no-star review if I could.

First time to Oxford, my wife and I stopped by on a whim. The food was fantastic, prices were good, and the owner and staff were friendly and kind. If we're in the area again, I'm sure we'll stop at Cafe Spice again.

Great food, there was an issue with the app for this place, they solved my issue quickly and gave great customer service. Very pleased and eat here again and again. The prices are also very good.

Worth a try, I ordered home delivery. I'm an Indian and the taste was close to authentic. Not too hot just taste and price was competitive. But please make sure you receive what you order, I got papadom (papad) as extra which I paid as they were not very expensive
