The best restaurants in New Forest South East

A little hole in the with great atmosphere need a little touch up but service with food make it a great place to enjoy this place.

I love gregs , I bought a sausage roll and 4 doughnuts. I asked the guy if he could put it in a box coz we are travelling , but this woman stop the guy and told us that its fine not to put it in abox. The way she talk is rude.

Just about to change management but we've met the new owner. He guarantees lots of seafood. As he says " he's from Sicily so should know how to cook seafood". Looking forward to it.

Chicken and kebab wrap was really nice and warm

My partner and I recently moved to Fawley and discovered this place by accident. My partner had chicken massaman with rice and a pad thai and I had chicken panang with rice and also a pad thai. All we can say is this is truly authentic tasting thai food we've eaten and reasonably priced with quite generous portions. The couple that run it are really nice too. We're really glad we found this place and from now on will be eating here regularly when it's a 'takeout night' try it like us and you won't be disappointed!

I know I asked for it not to be toasted but the patty normally microwaved. It was stone cold.

We always enjoy our visit here. The food is good. The ambience is good. The service is good.

Delicious food and super efficient and friendly service. In particular plenty of well cooked vegetables, sourced locally we were informed. Our Lunch club will definitely visit again.

Ordered a takeaway last night, fast delivery, amazing service and great food. Highly recommend if you want to try some authentic dishes! 10/10

I have used this pub occasionally for years. Had some very good times there and always enjoyed the real pub feel. Unfortunately this time, wow, what a difference. I had my go to meal of gammon, it was OK and that's not what I normally say after I've eaten there. Don't know what happening but would not recommend this place based on that. My friend had prawn tagliatelle main served very poorly in a pudding bowl. Sorry that's not acceptable. Half a dozen prawns and some pasta at £18 was very poor.

Popped in for a pint and stayed all night. Live band on, good beer and great atmosphere all hosted by the wonderful landlady Yvonne and her partner Alan, thanks guys, cracking night.

Best golf day out ever. Went as part of a golf society and started with a full English breakfast which was delicious followed by a round of golf on a course in excellent condition despite the recent drought. Then we had a lovely 3 course meal every bit as good as the breakfast. Staff all hard working and friendly and all for £35- it doesn’t get much better than this!!!!!!

My husband used to use this fish & chip shop lot's when he worked in Totton. Today he went to buy us Fish, peas fritter & chips. They advertise you must wear masks but allowed pretty much all the customers in without. Lot's of school children bundling in and not socially distancing. No policing whatsoever. So if that experience wasn't bad enough the food was dreadful.. Slimy greasy fish and pea fritter & dried stale chips, we threw the whole lot away. It could be a one off?? It was school kicking out time so maybe there hadn't been the demand previously. Fish should be crispy and not a wet soggy batter!!!

Visited this pub for a 2nd day in a row, just for drinks - beer and wine. Nice pub, sat outside overlooking a public garden, watching the world go by. We’d noticed on their website ‘Happy Hour’ for cocktails between 5-7pm and 11pm-midnight. We opted for a dark & stormy before dinner. When my husband came back, he said the guy behind the bar was bringing the drinks and I asked how much, £17, which I thought sounded expensive. When I looked at website again, it said £10 for 2 the same. When the guy bought our drinks out (looked like he might be the Manager), we remarked on the price and he said ‘oh, we haven’t done that deal for a while now’. When I told him it was on their website, he questioned whether I had looked at the right pub (see photo attached). I said if we’d known, we certainly wouldn’t have spent £17 on 2 drinks. His response ‘I’ll see you right’. We never saw him again…….both of us went into the pub separately and he had conveniently disappeared!! Poor show and shoddy customer service. We’re still here for another night but you won’t be seeing us again….and by the way, it’s still on your website and I’ve since noticed that our drink was not premium on the menu and should have been £15, so we were overcharged on 2 counts!!
