Subway in New Forest

A great Subway, and easy to get to with the community centre car park being free and a two minute walk from the store. The staff aren't always the most polite, but they mean well. Quite often their drinks machine doesn't work, and it can get busy which means it can sometimes be a bit dirty, with crumbs and wrappers left. If you're going at lunchtime on a weekend, expect it to be busy.

Love it here . Always had a friendly greeting . Fantastic staff and manager . They always go out of their way to help with a positive attitude. I go in regularly for my morning coffee and meals and shall continue to do so . 😁

The store is managed by inexperienced staff, evident in hygiene issues near the meat selection and a subpar quality salad—frozen in the displayed tins. Despite seeing this, my son wanted to proceed with his order with meat only. He fell ill after just one bite; being sick all over his food. Requesting a £10 refund became an ordeal, with the employees displaying rude and aggressive behaviour, claiming an inability to process refunds. The manager, who I had to speak to on the phone, was equally unhelpful and dismissive, my concerns were met with hostility. He was more concerned that he had been bothered on his day off. The store clearly needs a reassessment in terms of both management and food quality.

Absolutely vile. Breakfast sub made me sick. I was foolish enough to try a Philly steak a few weeks later and it looked as if it had been drowned…..soggy and tasteless. As for the staff…….clueless & have no care when making your food at all. I’d only use the central station, hospital or city centre shops in the future.

Good place to get the deals, offers and meal deals you want so why not go and give it a try and you cam get the subway app and get your points everytime you use them

We made the mistake of ordering from here again today and the owner clearly had no interest in making sure his customers are happy. Worst delivery experience I've ever had! We waited 2 hours for a 6 inch sub and a salad, my salad had onions which I didn't ask for so the whole thing tasted like onions. They didn't deliver one of two cookies ordered, but they did send the wrong cookie for the one they actually put in the bag. We also ordered 2 bags of crisps, one of which we didn't receive, so all in all absolutely terrible. Such a shame because this used to be a really good subway. I always forget how delicious the salads from Subway are until I start eating one then it all comes flooding back in a sea of Southwest sauce. The staff at the Totton branch are always friendly and smiling, food is always fresh and there's always a good selection with lots of healthy choices

I’ve never been to such an unfriendly place before the chap serving was just plain Rude, when I came out I was cross at myself for not telling him where he could stick his ft long sub

I didn’t actually get to eat. I wanted a 6 inch egg and cheese sub. The sandwich artist advised me it would cost 5.80. I usually pay under 3.00. I told him he was wrong and left. Shout out to Ian for his 5 minutes of fame

Walked out without my sub as I was told I could only have peppers and sweetcorn on my 12 inch sub ( i have had the same sub from other branches without the hassle). I thought the USP of subway was that you could choose whatever salad you like... I will not go back to this branch.

Great customer service from ordering to paying. Cleaning standards are so high I had to leave a review. Toilets are clean enough to eat your food in. Could even smell the bleach rather than anything else. Most places you these days everything is dirty. Not here. Food is always great as well. Top work guys.

The staff this morning is so bored with work, she needs a vacation urgently it was the rudest service I've ever seen in my life as if I'm getting it for free I don't think I'll go again mediocre mediocre

Be careful if you have allergies!! I ordered through Just Eat and ordered vegan cookies. It says they're vegan when ordering and even states it on the receipt too. I've ordered them as I have a dairy intolerance so would be ill if I had any dairy. I'm also pregnant which makes this riskier. When they arrived they clearly weren't the vegan cookies I've had before so I called the store to ask. They said they didn't have vegan ones so they sent me the normal ones instead (not labelling them as such etc). I explained I ordered them as I'm intolerant to dairy and pregnant. They told me I could claim back through just eat and keep the cookies (why would I want to keep them?!) This could of been dangerous!

absolute joke this subway, some staff rude and unhelpful. went the other day at 4.30 and asked for a foot long meatbal and got told i couldn't as it shut in half an hr. also the place always shuts early, my advice go to another one or get a different takeaway

I paid 9,99£ for 6 inch I told her that she is charging me too much for that ,,no no that is correct she respond I when to seat down and eat my 6inch and I decided to go back and ask for receipt and I took it my receipt and I see that she charge me for 12 inch which is wrong ????what a place ???avoid this place

Friendly staff members - good customer service. The Sub is even more delicious after such good customer service.

The manager in this place is so so rude and the way he speaks to female colleagues is shocking I cannot believe he is allowed to behave like this in front of customers.

Would give 0 stars if I could! Me and my partner came here for some lunch, the veggie options weren't clear on the menu, so we asked what was veggie. We were then told that they couldn't tell us what was veggie and to check the allergen guide. So to our dismay we did, and asked for the T.L.C which was out of stock, so we asked for another option which was also out of stock. So we asked what they have that's veggie, they again said they couldn't tell us. So we ended up ordering the veggie teriyaki steak. The service was terrible and the server ZEID was rude and clearly just trying to usher us along even though there was only 2 people in the queue behind us, he even missed my order out and moved onto the person behind me. After we finally got out food, we left to eat in the car. My partner opened her sub to find a couple of hairs in it which was clearly the servers. So I took the sub back and asked for a refund. The server was again very rude and unprofessional, told me that he knew I would be back for a refund when he served me, I told him there's no need for that. We just wanted some lunch. He opened the til, put a £10 note on the counter (even know we paid by card and it cost over £15) told me to take it and to leave the store. I am absolutely appalled by this service and will not be returning here again. Me and my partner have 2 decades of hospitality experience between us including subway, and this is not the way to treat a customer, regardless of how busy you are. All we wanted was some lunch and now our day has been ruined by an incredibly unprofessional man, who should clearly not be working in the service industry. I would urge anyone to stay away from here.

Very disappointing on this visit. Arrived for a breakfast sub to find out they had no eggs. Please bring back the honey oat bread as this was also best tasting bread.

It was OK very busy and the staff were to busy doing delivery orders to serve the food was OK but I think there should be a separate area to prepare delivery orders a bit manic to say the least

Every time I go in the staff are rude and the place is so dirty. Saw a guy use his same gloves with 5 customers.

Staff need to know how to wear a mask in the correct manner. Clear table after use etc, Change gloves after each customer and wipe down.

Was nothing to do with the food, but I think the manger he tall has glasses? The way he speaks to his staff is absolutely appalling. You will end up with no staff with his attitude. A lady itsa or Krista was such a kind woman.

Disappointing, although the food was standard the tables and floor was filthy it actually put us off sitting in to eat. Seemed 3 women working 1 actually serving customers 1 refilling stock and the other stood round doing nothing. We were the only two customers in there so not as if they were run off their feet

Food is good and consistent, but the service I received today was amazing!! Cheerful happy polite staff put a smile on my face and made my day :)

Disgusting experience. Ordered a subway meal through the just eat app. Waited over an hour, still no arrival or update on arrival. Contacted subway and they were very rude. I asked to cancel, because I had been waiting so long, and I had to eat something else. They refused my refund and hung up on me. I called back three times and each time, they wouldn’t answer the phone. Food turned up cold and was not enjoyable at all. Probably just a one off, unlucky experience. But the way Subway handled it was horrible.

I served today 04/10/20 around at 9:30am very disappointed. Asking staff some questions about products but she has abno attention about that. Try to overcharge me!!! When I asked i"this price correct" ? She changed to normal price" no excuse, no single words, no sorry, no explanation" Many years ago it was my favourite place! People was working there very friendly and happy.... Not any more...

Absoloutlu awful, we've just had 2 meals delivered and ive never such a meal looking like that just did. My sandwich didn't have all the ingredients I asked for, the sandwich came in two halfs not even together and the ingredients all in the bottom of the box! I pretty much had to make my own sandwich. The second meal ordered also never had all the ingredients we ordered in and the hash browns were barely cooked! Wouldnt recommended this place whatsoever and ill never be going there again!

Wanted coffee to take away. Nothing too difficult you might think. Well think again. It was 3.25pm Sunday afternoon. The sign on the entrance clearly said the shop was open til 4.00pm. But when I asked for coffee, I was told that the drinks machine was being cleaned. "So although the sign on the door says you are open, you're not really open then if you have decided to stop selling any hot drinks ?" I said. I was just told again they were cleaning the machine. It was evident they wanted to close early and go home early. I was just a customer. Well I might have been. Fortunately other places were more than happy to sell me coffee with a smile. I shall certainly go elsewhere in future. In fact, I highly recommend going elsewhere!

Very friendly service. Good food-no concerns nor problems. Bad bits: temporary lack of vegan pate has resulted in the deep discount. The Windows could be a bit more cleaner. I will be back. :)

After hearing from a few people that subways had gone downhill, I decided to check it out for myself,as I used to pop in regularly for a bite to eat when I was working in Totton. The staff were always friendly and there was, a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately the rumors are true. The staff have changed and it is nowhere near as busy as it used to be. Although she tried to be friendly, the lady behind the counter was just too abrupt in her manner. I work with people with Learning Difficulties and with abrupt speaking it causes issues. That said she at least tried. I have recently given up caffeine now and was surprised that Subway do not sell de-caffeinated tea of any kind. In this day and age I'm taken back by this, and indeed whilst I was there for all of 15 minutes, 3 people asked for de-caffeinated tea. Management are missing a trick with Dorset decaf teas. Lastly there was no hot chocolate! Seriously subways who is responsible for stock? Damn shame used to love Subways.

I have visited this subway a few times on my own and with family and have not had a disappointing meal yet. Staff always seem happy. Only complaint is the place seems quite messy the few times I have gone in.

Prices have gone up a lot in past couple of years. Sandwiches have got a lot smaller and staff not very friendly. Appear to have attitudes (I dont want to be here) which shows. Would rather spend my money in sandwich bar across the road.

Su was ever so friendly and professional. She even got some fresh tomatoes out showing her commitment to a fresh sub. Good times. The store was clean and they had all the options available. Great place in Totton to grab a bite to eat

They never want to give you your points on the subway card the scanner is hidden, they tell you to go online to get the points,to be quite honest it's not worth the effort, so find somewhere that gives you what you expect

Visited this Subway on way down to the New Forest. Plenty of seating and a large subway but was let down on speed of service. We visited at 11:45am, there was one customer ahead of me, however I was in the subway for 15 minutes waiting to receive my two 6” subs! The lady that served me was pleasant but randomly served someone else who jumped the queue at the till point for a coffee. The subs were fine and tasty. The toilets were clean and the restaurant seemed clean also which was nice.

This is the best subway in Southampton. Not as small and cramped as most. Friendly staff. Just a shame they no longer do full fat pepsi.

Paid £14 for a foot long bacon & chicken sub, a refill Pepsi and 3 cookies. The sub had NO bacon in it and barely any chicken, was pretty much a roll with lettuce, cucumber and mayo. The Pepsi came as a bottle and had already been opened! And the 3 cookies were completely different to what I asked for. Don't waste your money.

Just your normal subway experience, they did have issues with flavored drinks from their machine when I went.

Food was good but my grandchildren and myself needed to use the loos and was not very impressed - not very clean and Hand dryer not working in the Mens and no paper towels to dry your hands - Loos could do with a Spring clean.... Restaurant is fine though.

Prices not clear. Felt rushed. Overcharged due to keying drinks in at the till whilst deciding. No receipt given. Asked for receipt (duplicate given) and spotted the extra drink/overcharge. Refunded but recon she knew in the first place and cba... Food okay tho. UPDATE.. toilet roll dispenser falls on you when you pull out on the gents. Hand dryer not working. No toilet roll in ladies and hand dryer not working either.

Visit this subway quite regularly. Young friendly staff but they are always efficient. Quite refreshing for these days.

Usually good but because they were rushing my salad half the steak was stuck to the paper and he stood there scraping it off. it was stuck to the paper and because I didn't have lettuce only got half a bowl of salad.

Used it for years ..can't complain with their reasonable prices.. but when you go in their.. like McDonald's it's not no coffee shop.. so your not gonna get the best of beverages. . Their own wifi or being near some wifi hotshot would be a plus.. I think if the subway had a wifi signal near by I would probs be in their all the time.. buying 2nd class coffees lol..

Good place for a sandwich, morning or noon!

Your typical Subway which is clean with plenty of seating. The food on offer was good with the breakfast sub being very taste and a far better offering than some other fast food establishments. At my time of visit there was no crowds.

The service in this place have really gone down lately. Constant staff changes... Last night we went there with my family and despite the lack of a queue, our food was prepared hasty and without any care. As if the guy was packing his suitcases, because he was running late for the airport. He barely squirted any ketchup on my daughter's sandwich and when I asked for ketchup on my sandwich instead he squirted hot chilli.. mostly in the middle of it. By the time I realised what he's done, I've already eaten a third of it. Not to mention he is using the same gloves to touch the screen of his computer and then to put salads on your sandwiches. Absolutely disgusting.
