Fantastic shop, clean and nearly always have what I want, when they don’t it’s generally not long until more are coming out. The dark haired girl with tattoos is always chatting and smiley, very friendly, like most of the staff there, but I see her more often than the others. Always brightens my day going there.

As always the food was lovely but let down by one staff member who was very rude. I’m not normally one to complain but I really did not appreciate the way I was spoken to, the other members in the back even picked up on it and gave me a sympathetic smile as of to say sorry. Not sure if I will be going back

Went to Greggs today and as usual, the coffee and sausage rolls were great. Even more to the point, I accidentally left my handbag on the seat. Not only did a kind, honest customer hand it in at the counter, the staff went to the trouble to find my home phone number and leave a message for me that they had somebody hand it in. As it turned out, I noticed the loss and managed to retrieve my bag before I left Lymington to return to Christchurch. Lovely people all round and a big thank you to them!

Popped in for lunchtime snack . Wanted steak bake told didn't have any and there was a 10 minute wait for next batch so we had to come up with something. Mrs Nomad had tuna sub while I tried the relatively new steak and cheese baguette. The tuna was below standard but worse still was the steak,it had the worlds sweetest caramelized onion and the steak, well let's be clear, its thinly cut beef!I only managed half and that was only because I wanted to justify its £3 price tag.

For a shop that is famous for being a pie bakery, then why are the pies (when there are pies available) either only just warm or cold and no option of having one heated? Some people may be hungry enough to eat a cold steak pie but I can`t think of anything more revolting! The shelves are often empty or left with the one last squashed pie no-one wants to purchase and this is the majority of the time very early afternoon! I decided to buy the soup for a very short spell during my lunch breaks but noticed on the fourth day it was still the same flavour and witnessed another tin can of the same flavour being tipped into the pre-existing heated pot. I decided this was a possible health risk and changed my mind about the soup option. The place always looks filthy and the most of the staff don`t seem to want to be there...including one `bullish` female member of staff there who is even quite frightening!!! It has to be said however, there are a couple of extremely polite members of staff there who go out of their way to aim to please and appear genuinely embarrassed and apologetic when there is a request that cant be met.

I love Greggs, as it's tasty, convenient and cheap. My sandwich today though was not pleasant - barely any prawns, but loaded with mayo so it was sloppy. No sausage rolls, and had a steak bake but it was quite fatty. Disappointing on this occasion, but I will go again as usually it's really good. The mature lady that works there is a pleasure, and always very friendly (and always has a smile and wave for my son) - she is a credit!

My wife and I needed a quick bite to tide us over so we dived in to Greggs in Lymington, we bought the last two pasty's too eat in. They were both not only luke warm but also a mushy mess inside. To top it all the place was an absolute mess. Even if they had been manic during lunch time some body should have at least swept and mopped the sticky mess up by 2.40pm.If only we had known there were a number of real pasty shops further along the road!

The waft of freshly baked viennoiserie in the morning on the high street, oh joy, what to have each morning, maybe a bacon butty, maybe a frosted donut, maybe a chocolate twist, don't let the haters here deter you, Greggs brings a certain Je ne sais quoi a certain European sophistication with it's outstanding pastries including perhaps the best rouleau de saucisse this side of the channel.

I nipped into Greggs this morning. Although I have written before that I don't much care for the ambience of this take away, and given the enormous competition on our High Street, I wouldn't often use it; today, in need of a pasty to keep me going, I called in. They had no pasties ready, so I settled for a sausage roll. Whatever you feel about Greggs, their pasties, sausage rolls and similar really are very good. Very tasty, good flakey pastry and quite delicious. And guess what? NO PIPED MUSIC. It was almost peaceful and pleasant to go in. Now was it a change in policy or did I just hit it at the right moment? I don't know, but if this is to be the case, I might well call in more often. I have to add that the young lady at the checkout was ever so pleasant and helpful. Keep it up Gtreggs.

Oh dear - nothing seems to have changed or improved for this bewildered bakery. This must be Greggs Loss Leader in the town. There were three items, aside from fresh coffee that I wanted to buy here today - and they were 'out of stock' until tomorrow of everything I wanted! As far as Branch Profitability is concerned, this must be the worst performing Greggs outlet in the nation. How about running it as a business? When a customer enters your premises, you want what's in their wallet or purse. If you've got nothing to offer to sell to them, then you're not going to make a profit. Unless I've missed something here, like there being a war on, or shortages of flour, or maybe 14:30 is just too late in the day to expect anything to be left on the shelves? I can't imagine this outlet being here for very long, if customers have to leave empty-handed and go elsewhere.

Poor sales means that hot baguettes have now gone forever from this store. It seems that this company needs to identify some suitable 'regional favourites', and sell things that people actually want to eat. Selling generic food nationwide doesn't appeal to everyone. That is why Morrisons supermarket moved in - and out of the town a few years ago. There needs to be some variety, so the customer is not faced with the same things all the time; it is the key to survival.

If you are in a hurry and want a snack, the pasties, pastries and sandwiches here are fine. In a High Street where there are more outlets than you can shake a stick at, the competition is fierce, and in truth, although this OK it would not be my first choice. That aside, inside the shop it's awful. Very loud music blasting out and generally not awfully welcoming. I don't understand the need for music at all, even less at this volume....but I'm old!

This bakery offers fast service, and good quality coffee. However, on too many occasions, when I've asked for something from the bakery, I've been told "we're out of stock." This is because they are having difficulties in managing their stock orders, in anticipation of demand, and to prevent food wastage. This situation does not occur in other Bakeries within the town. Avoid anything from the Hot Sandwich Cabinet, as it might have been kept hot for hours, and become completely dried out. You can always ask them to make you a fresh one.

I'd rang in the week before the Saturday (19th Oct) lunchtime, and pre-booked a table for our party of 13, and I said we needed 2 high-chairs. (How nice it was to ring and book a table verbally, instead of booking on-line.) On the day, we arrived to find 3 tables pushed together for us, and all was good, though no high-chairs, which the staff member got sorted fast. We arrived in a bit of a disjointed way (an initial 5, then a 3, then a 5), but this caused no problem, and we had drinks on tab. Our meal experience was really very good, with good attention by all staff (at bar and at table). The food (we had main and dessert) came in good time, and it was delicious. All in our party thought their main course was excellent, being really flavoursome. I had the cottage pie, it was delightful, as was my partner's pork rump steak. Yes, prices were a couple of pounds more per plate for mains, but definitely worth it. At no time were we hurried along, or unduly hassled, and we ended up spending much of a great Saturday afternoon there. Our 7yo in the party enjoyed the wooden play apparatus outside, and I loved the Exmoor ales! Lastly, how refreshing to have no service charge automatically added, and allow customers to decide. We'd never eaten there before, but we will again!
