Lovely community space. Beer was good.

Lovely staff, very friendly landlady, great atmosphere but let down by the hit and miss quality of the food. Have eaten there 3 times recently and twice the food was poor at best and the other it was brilliant (young lady cooking). With a decent regular cook it could do very well.

New ownership! And my goodness do they care. Very warm, welcoming. Massively dog and child friendly!! Dog station with treats at the door. The attention to detail...ladies products in the ladies room has been so valued(never stuck in an emergency) Open all day everyday...perfect for Mum's on the school run, coffee chat!! The new owners have polished the floor and it looks wonderful! Quiet nook back with the pool and darts area combined into a cohesive arrangement. Waiting on chef's before they reopen the kitchen. I know they want to focus on local produce. Can't wait for that! Bustling with a great atmosphere. Us locals are always friendly and there's even more than before!! Menu has been updated, smaller, but much more suited to a local, forest pub!! Perfect for kids, parents, group gatherings.. plenty of locals to keep you warm and company. We welcome all and ALL are welcome. Disabled access to the bar, toilets and outside! Enjoy and spread the word. Fantastic bands from time to time!

Again went in for food, and as per first vist the J Burger was out of this world. Great value, great good, great service.

What an amazing pub with some truly amazing staff. Live football with live bands all the time. What more could you want.

Great atmosphere clean and tidy. staff are friendly and welcoming. food and drink is great and reasonably priced. Dogs and children are welcome. Play area in the garden for children.

The location was fine for access to the New Forest and Southampton. The Breakfast was fine, cereal + full english. It's important to stress that these are rooms over a pub and as such is reflected in the price. Overall the rooms are a bit tired but seem clean. Accordingly, it would be unfair to benchmark our stay at Roebuck room by Hotel or B&B standards, however, we had a few hiccups 2 of which we could live with but one that needs serious attention. The sink was very blocked and took ages to drain The loo cistern kept going (just a sticky cistern valve) But the bed was way beyond its use-by date and several over the mattress springs had failed, I tried turning the mattress to no avail. Very uncomfortable. We left a note for the owners as maybe nobody has let them know before? Do bear in mind being a Pub they sometimes have discos on Saturdays but they finish at 11pm.

Not the nicest of pubs but it serves a purpose in the village. The play area could do with having the rocks removed!

Nice place 👌 to stay for a night 🌙 or two. It has a vibrant atmosphere with a pub. The people are friendly and welcoming 🙏 We had a live music 🎶 🎵 experience on the 🌙 which was again lovely. There are shops around to buy usual groceries. The pub also serves food.

I ordered a "home made" burger (J Burger?) which took a while to arrive, although the pub was relatively empty. First appearances, it looked very nice. I was busy on my phone, inbetween bites & not really concentrating on my food..at some point I looked down & saw the middle of my burger was completely raw (having eaten a fair chunk of 1 half already, which made me feel quite sick)! I left the other half & ate the chips. I was in a rush & didn't have time to "air my views"... it wasn't cheap either, nearly £12 - a total waste of money! I won't be going back..!

A friend recommended coming here to eat and we can see why. Delicious food, all fresh veg and plenty of it. Very good value - 3 courses for £13.95 each. Drinks prices good too. Pub very Christmassy with lots of pretty lights and an open fire. We will defo come again and also bring family.

Was clean and comfortable, staff were very nice and food was good. Only thing that spoilt it was loud, drunk woman in room next to us trying to sing while we were trying to sleep 💤 😫

Totally not what I was expecting. Poor food and springs coming through the mattress. Uncomfortable and would not recommend unless you like watching sport on TV and playing darts and pool in a pub.

When I book a hotel room I expect the room to be of equal quality and cleanliness to my home, or better, this was neither. The room could just about fit the double bed, which looked like it had just come off a skip. The bedding should have been put on that skip. Surfaces all felt sticky. I had scrambled egg on toast for breakfast. The egg looked like something I had in the Airmans mess at Bridgnorth in 1961. On the plus, the staff were friendly and helpful. Sorry I would not use this facility again.

There is nothing wrong with the building, but it is designed very open plan and not personally my cup of tea (or beer). The beer is very good and service is good and friendly , just not for me.

This Inn was a good standard for the cost.. basic but very clean ... the best bit was the staff. Very friendly and helpful. Would stay again ...

What an amazing place to stay, eat , drink or just socialise in. Fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff. Great pool table and the food is amazing , good value prices too. Could not praise it enough , definitely worth a visit

NOT what l was expecting but l am pleasantly surprised will leave the rest of my review until my stay as finished on Friday 13th Sept watch this space.

The hotel is placed in a nice and quiet location, the pub was great and had live music. The only reason for giving 3 stars is for the rooms which could do with a refurb or at least a bit more cleaning, shower had no pressure so was a bit awkward, but I guess if you only need a bed for a night it is more than enough

Typical village pub good helpful staff are a good selection of beers

A friend and I popped in for lunch on our lunch break. We ordered a sausage baguette and a caesar salad with a side of cheesy garlic bread. There was only one other table of 4 people in the whole place. The food took 45 minutes to arrive, the baguette was greasy with just two cheap sausages stuffed in it, the caesar salad was swimming in so much sauce that it made my friend feel sick and the garlic bread had clearly just been bought from co-op with some cheese melted on top. The baguette also arrived long before the salad so mine was cold by the time my friends food had arrived. We definitely won’t be going back.

Revamped pub with lovely cooked food, cheap, clean basic pub accommodation for family of 4, large bedroom with en suite shower room, double bed for adults and two bunk beds for the kids..Great staff hospitality and delicious cooked breakfast to end with...Friday nights and possibly Saturdays too.. do have a band on at night though until midnight...but some kids can sleep through it...lol 😉 😂

Food was OK for the price. No one took the order as they said they would, so after 20 odd minutes we went and place it. Took about an hour then to get the food. Place wasn't busy though.

To be fair the food was lovely very disappointed in accommodation booked a family room smelt very stale not fresh double bed was rock hard the single bed springs screeched everytime you moved we was given one sheet for fold up bed no pillows sheets would never stay again but recommend the food

Spacious and well maintained and generally a nice pub. Bar area a bit small when it gets busy. Saw a couple of great bands there including the Kazbaas- awesome!

Down right disgraceful. Tuna pasta bake consisted of pasta with tinned tuna and some melted cheese over the top. A bit of garlic bread instead of baguette. No sauce at all. Very dry and tasteless. Meat pie was tough and no extra gravy

We were visiting the area and needed a substantial breakfast, which we got here. We had vegan sausages, hash browns, baked beans and tomatoes and two slices of toast with jam. Very good value and great food. Would highly recommend.

Mid week lunchtime meal. Took nearly an hour for the food to arrive. The crockery is an absolute disgrace, all our plates were heavily chipped and fit only for the skip. Food was alright, average pub food. There is better food for less money around. Place is clean and freshly decorated and the staff were friendly and polite. Can’t really recommend on the whole. .

The Roebuck Inn, previously The Magic Roundabout has had a major revamp along with the renaming. At first glance it is very tasteful to the eye. The separated games room has now gone with extra TVs added at each end of the pub and now with more seating, though I feel its a shame some of this is with raised tables and stools. Having a partner who's in a wheelchair, we feel that we've now been restricted to where we can now seat. However, the food is still of a very high quality and has a generally happy, family friendly ambiance. We've been going here for years now and we won't be turning our back on this venue for the distant future just yet.

It's a typical pub. Food and drinks. Parking and shops.

Under new management who have turned this place around. I come down every month or so on training and this is a great place to unwind with friends. Sam who works on the bar is a total professional who works hard to get to know everyone - she always remembers a face no matter how long since you last visited making you feel very welcome. Prices are good and the food is what you would expect for a decent pub. Loads of entertainment at weekends. Well done to the whole team!

The Roebuck Inn has been redecorated on the outside and looks much cleaner and fresher.

Meals are lovely and the pub is having a facelift inside and out. Landlord and staff friendly and welcoming.

We've just watched Four in a Bed and we've laughed our heads off.....they get over paid and looked miserable and get under paid and looked happy.

Great fun place ...friendly staff ...good grub... like the puddings the best ... mixed crowd but good for families...

Arrived tired but did not like music on juke box. Did not say anything but when I looked in despair at the juke box at even more of what I can only describe a jungle music, was told by a young man that if I did not lime it I should put some money I the juke box myself, otherwise I knew where the door was. Felt like saying I would put some money in the wretched machine if it could buy some silence. Only stayed because I had a taxi booked. I have tried to support the place through all of its recent managers, of whom there have been many, but I do not think I shall be coming here too often any more.

This establishment is under new ownership the four in a bed people have long gone and now it is being run properly so give it a go the staff and management are very friendly and the food is excellent great looking rooms and very comfy beds so highly recommend this place good value for money

I've just watch 4 in a bed, i rather sleep in my car than spend an hour in that establishment. I am old school, and when i see rude people without manners or respect or common courtessy i have not time nor interest in them. You have done yourselves NO favours, but you have done for prospective customers because now we can choose to avoid you place.

I have never been and never would after watching four in a bed. Maria & Megan I would think you would not have done yourselves any favours by being so nasty to your other fellow contenders. Lauren and his wife were lovely and the others and simply did not get why you had such a problem with them. I would not dream of handing my hard earned-cash over to you, so that I could aid you having all those things you want. Your customers want you to be nice and appreciate them staying at your establishment. Your are rude, nasty and horrible human beings, quite frankly you deserve nothing.
