Original White Hart in New Forest

My friend and I visited Ringwood from Bath for the day a delightful town.Where we came upon the The Original White Hart we could see the menu on a table through the window and liked the look of what was on the menus so we went inside.The place looked interesting and immacilate plenty of space.They staff were so friendly and efficiant.The food was glorious and tasty and well presented at a really low cost and in return received high standards.I wish this establishment was situated in Bath we will certainly returan whan that way again. Old hotel with old rooms and expensive for the service. Spider webs on the window. Clean sheets and towels but squeky old matrass.

First time in this pub, drinks OK with plenty to choose from. Food very nice, friendly staff. Worth another visit !

I'd like to speak a little about how lovely the bar staff Tom and Issy were to me and my boyfriend during our visit. Issy has only been there a week and she was unbelievably lovely, chatty and even offered me some of her break food 🥰, I declined, but it looked AMAZING, so well done chefs. Issy went above and beyond hospitality, I definitely see her getting a promotion in the near future. The chefs were a good crack as we had a laugh about my fear of the big ass spider that was outside the pub (p.s still don't know how or why they went so close to the thing 😂🕷️🕸️). The boyfriend would also like to say that Tom was welcoming too and they had a good old chat, again going above and beyond. Both Issy and Tom are very personable people, well done staff and whoever is hiring these lovelies 👍🏼👍🏼. Good drinks, good laughs, pool table, extremely friendly locals, not too busy. Brilliant pub!

We moved to Ringwood in December and absolutely love the town. We found the White Hart the first week and we visit a couple of times a week now. The staff are always friendly (particularly Ollie!) and the food always comes out quickly. We have tried different things on the menu and have never been disappointed.

Went for a roast dinner with the family for a Sunday Roast. The staff, David, Ollie and Chris (chef) served up a lovley meal. Very fast service and great value for money.

This place is amazing! We visited years ago and it was lovely to return. Everyone was so polite and helpful.

My wife and I have been here twice in the last month and have really enjoyed the food, the great service and the relaxing atmosphere. Special mention to Emma, Davide and Izzy for the great food. Keep it up guys. 😊

I had a very pleasant stay at the Original White Hart Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed and the food was good. The bar stocks local beers which I like. I will be back if I come to Ringwood

Lovely pub restaurant .very good service,food lovely and hot .Even catered for my husband diabetes by putting the sauce on the side so he could add as little as he wanted

I can’t express how much the staff here really go the extra mile. They are all so polite and helpful to ensure that my visit was so wonderful. The food here is incredible and you can tell by the quality of the food. Definitely a massive difference

Great food and great service. I had the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection by chef Izzy and washed it down with a delicious pint of Ringwood razerback on the superb recommendation of the kind JP behind the bar. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic evening spent at the pub. Great for families and a very welcoming crowd for newcomers. JP gave us fantastic service and was a charming delight. I had the lasagna which was deliciously cooked by Ollie. I will definitely return

Love the vibe here, they make you so welcome and they love dogs. The food is absolutely delicious and very good value for money. Dave & Emma are great hosts, very obliging. We holiday in Ringwood twice a year and come to the Original White Hart every evening whilst we're here for a few drinks & the chat, eating here a couple of days too. We'll be back, as we always do. The Original White Hart dates back to 1806 and is heritage listed. Managers Diane and Chris provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff who serve the bar and food are friendly and informative. The guest rooms are clean and comfortable with en suite bathroom and television. Breakfast is provided at a reasonable price. The Original White Hart is centrally located in High Street and walking distance to restaurants, shops and the Ringwood bus stop. Highly recommended for budget accommodation, a pint of Guinness at the bar and dinner with family and friends. The Sunday roasts are very popular, great value and served from midday to 6 pm.

A lovely pub with a nice choice of food. Always a friendly atmosphere with the staff being very helpful. Special mention to both Ollie and Finn who have served us on our last 2 visits (I think they are brother but may be wrong!)

Stained soiled bedding never stay there again

Stayed at the Original White Hart in Ringwood and ate there most of the time, mainly because the food was so good. Nothing to do with the menu, more due to the skill of the chef and kitchen staff. We actually asked for their names so that we could recognise their skills with a review. So, here we go... Thank you both sincerely Chris and Izzy, for providing the best cooked meals we have enjoyed so far this year. Your effort, skill and hard work are very much appreciated.

I stayed at the hotel. Unfortunately my shower or bath didn't have any running water. Member of the hotel team came to room. She also couldn't get it working. So I couldn't shower on a very warm day .I asked if I could have a refund . Hotel staff said she would report to manager and get back to me. My sister had also tried to get bath and shower working but couldn't. I did not get a response so contacted the hotel . Was advised I had to go through guest feedback. Did that. Took 4 weeks and longer to get response. Response was dishonest and I was told that maintenance had come to my room and showed me bath and shower were working. This definately was not what happened . No maintenance person entered my room, showed me how it was working . As said it was a hotel receptionist who came to room and couldn't get it working. She told me she would report it to maintenance. I have been advised I won't get a refund based on the hotel manager and team being dishonest and saying the guest was shown how bath shower worked. Which didn't happen. Whilst I appreciate things break and need fixing so shower bath not working is one thing which cannot be helped . But having a shower or bath when paying for a room I feel is fundamental to stay and if not working should be offered a refund or part refund. BUT what is so dissapointing about the whole matter is the hotel team being dishonest in this matter and also it took over a month to give me that response.

We had lunch at the White Hart today- the service was excellent - helpful and cheerful. The food was very good value and the pub is comfortable spacious and full of character. Like an old fashioned pub - in a good way.

Room was claustrophobic and poor value for money being very expensive and which did not include breakfast. Orange juice watered down and coffee tasted of cheep instant. Staff rude and unfriendly. ,

The room wasn't that clean at all, very run down. Food was not great and breakfast was horrible.

The bar staff were really friendly and welcoming. They actually took time to help us plan our day out for the next day which was really useful as we are visiting the area. The food arrived piping hot and on hot plates. It was delicious. The added bonus was that I could use my Blue Light discount card there too. If we were staying in the area, I would definitely have gone back there to eat again 👍

A lovely stay with our family. The staff, Emma, Davide and Finn were so helpful, friendly and very professional. Nothing was too much and they went above and beyond with a very caring manor throughout the whole of our stay and they must be commended for this. There are some areas outside that are a little tired and could be made prettier but am sure they will be updated. On a whole a lovely place and if we are in the area again would definitely stay there and would recommend.

On holiday from Cambridge, excellent hotel with great service. Tom and Billy were incredibly attentative with our dinner service and are a credit to the establishment.

I stayed for 3 nights. Room was vv small but ok. Spoiler was they had food shortages at breakfast and at dinner. Food was very good pub Fare.

As soon as I walked in, I could feel quality, everything was perfect, JP poured a perfect pint of Guinness, Alice too was just fantastic and gave 1st class service, then came the food, absolutely quality through and through, hot and satisfying and very well presented , hot plates and fantastic portions and price too, definitely worth a visit and I’d highly recommend staying for the food, everybody was so friendly and so professional, I look forward to my next visit to The Original White Hart in Ringwood…

Visited this pub for Sunday Carvery and it was amazing! The meat was nice and moist and flavoursome and the vegetables and a compliments were of good quality and tasted fresh. The carver was very friendly and engaged with us which was an added bonus as we felt relaxed and comfortable. The bar team served us very efficiently while being friendly and smiley. I will be returning every Sunday from now on for my regular carvery and recommend you do too.

All staff were very friendly, Billy and Tom were very polite, well dressed, very helpful, obliging and the food was excellent, compliments to the chef for great breakfasts and evening meals. Great value meals and lovely place to stay, 5 stars all round.

Had lunch here on spec and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve not been in there for years and remember it as being rather tired and unwelcoming. What a transformation! Happy helpful staff and immaculately clean and tidy surroundings. We had a lovely lunch, that was most reasonably priced, and a pint of excellent bitter that was two thirds the price I pay in St. Albans. Plus they have a different special deal every weekday that include a pint or drink with the food and is unbelievable value. We will be going back.

We had a lovely meal today at the original white heart in Ringwood, Two had the mix grill and I had the rump steak, can't fault the food or the service. Pub was clean and dog friendly is a bonus. Will definitely be back!!

Basic small bedrooms but a good price. The rooms are not luxurious but are clean and have all the essentials needed at a very reasonable price for the area (with free parking) in the centre of Ringwood.

Foreign man behind the bar is extremely rude , we came here for 18th birthday celebrations totally ruined it thank you very much , will not be returning

Service was very slow. Machine not working for soda water etc. A very long wait for food which was very hard for 3 year old great granddaughter who kept asking when is my food coming. Quality of the food was fine when it eventually arrived almost an hour after ordering. We have not had this problem before when eating at The White Heart so assume there was some sort of problem in the kitchen.

As soon as we walk in we felt welcomed and Emma was a great help with taking our order and her service was fantastic very friendly and happy, food was amazing would definitely come back

Me and my husband and the dogs often visit Ringwood, we always come back to the white heart as we love to spend time here , we are always made to feel so welcome , we enjoy the food made by Chis and the deals here, David and Emma always make us feel so welcome and they speak spanish which is also great , the atmosphere is like our front room at home and the pub is always filled with friendly locals , if you are in Ringwood drop by for a pint or a bite of happiness!

This is my regular drinking hole, I am regularly served by Tom, who is good company a laugh. Most importantly when it comes to pouring my beer he is the messiah, the perfect pour.

Recently stayed here while visiting family... Cannot fault it, The management were so helpful and the staff were so friendly and welcoming couldn't do enough for you.. food was fantastic, plenty of choice and cooked to perfection... The rooms were clean and exactly as should be..Will definatley be coming back and will definatley be recommending to all friends and family... Definatley two satisfied customers!!

We decided to stop for a drink and something to eat whilst out and about having not been to this pub for a while. The food was lovely, drinks were good, and the atmosphere was really nice. The changes that have been made make this a lovely place to visit with family as the pool table is no longer in the middle of the pub and has a separate area near the back which separates itself from diners. There was even a dog station for our pooch to enjoy water and a treat. There has been a real change since we were last in and all for the better. Very bright, welcoming pub and the staff all seemed to enjoy their jobs and made time to speak to us. Definitely a worthwhile visit and will be back again soon.

I’ve been a local at this pub since I could drink and the staff and service are always immaculate and especially Emma is a diamond aswell as land lady very grateful for their service. After trying to book into other pubs in the area but couldn't because they were full, we were surprised to turn up to find it almost empty. We were greeted by friendly staff. The menu had plenty of choice. We were served quickly by friendly staff Our food arrived hot. It was very tasty and plenty of it. Excellent value for money. Would recommend.
