Great meal, great service, will come again

Spent one night in there. Room was OK, but bathroom needed a refurbishment. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK.

Emma was so kind and attentive to our needs, a most excellent hostess. Thank you Emma and the food was good too. Reasonably priced menu and a good portion size. Thumbs up from my wife and me.

I use it as my local, need entertainment, cause no entertainment, I tend to leave and find somewhere in town with it.

The staff here are very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is amazing; davide was so friendly and i couldn’t fault the service that i received. Massive well done and keep up the great work

The Original White Hart has been refurbished . It still retains the local 'boozer' vibe in the bar but the restaurant area is very tastefully decorated.

I would highly recommended this beauty of a pub. I stayed for 2 nights. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Very peaceful and quiet. The staff on duty Emma and Victoria were very pleasant and welcoming throughout my stay. Food on both days was absolutely lovely. I will definitely be returning.

The venue was very clean and nicely presented. The member of staff was very friendly and helpful and rhe food was quickly served and delicious.

Both Emma and davide are an asset to the establishment. Had a few drinks last night and the service was amazing. The atmosphere was incredible and i cannot express how impressed I was with the food. I highly recommend this establishment

I came with my partner and friends, we didn't have any reservations but thanks to Victoria and Emma we were able to get food and a drink and a room for the night, excellent service very friendly people look forward to returning soon to this gem.

Popped in while in the area and had the Sunday roast, food was lovely and well presented, Emma & Jeon-Paul made us and the dog feel very welcome.

Friendly staff. Roast very acceptable price. However, it wasn’t piping hot. Disappointing temperature. Surprising seeing as we were the only ones eating apart from another couple. Roast potatoes were definitely frozen but nice and crispy.

It's been a while since I've given 5 stars, but after I ate this burger and experienced the service here, I felt the need, too. The atmosphere was great, nice staff, attentive and polite, the young girl working behind the bar was so customer focused and knew her job. I'm not sure of her name but fair play to her. I visited today, the 13th of January 2024, at 13:00. So if that helps, I just want to further thank her for making our visit a nice one. The chef did an amazing job, the food was packed with flavour, and every bite just got better. It was a great burger. Chips clean and fresh, food hot, even after being on the table while we finished our game of pool. One thing that really impressed me was the chefs attention to detail, and washed the salad garnish before putting it into the burger because that too tasted fresh and did not have that chemical taste to it like most salads do, because most places don't wash there salad and as a retired chef this impressed me to the point I could not find one fault with the meal. All in all, It was a great way to have a birthday meal, so thank you very much, and I will be coming back for another and another.. Well done, guys. Amended review..! 13/01/2025 Okay, so I came back for my birthday again. And I was highly disserpointed. It seams that they have changed their chefs because the burger ( as you can see in the pictures ) was much different. It arrived with an overly toasted bun. The meat itself was overcooked, and the cheese was not fully melted. The burger itself was cold and did not have the flavour it had the last time I visited. However the staff were still friendly and the pub is still a lovely place to visit. It's just a shame who ever made my burger diddnt do the same standard as last time.

It was our first time going out for Christmas lunch & the experience could not have better. Delicious food & really attentive service. And the best bit ...no cooking or washing up. I'd thoroughly recommend this pub restaurant.

Food was fine, staff were friendly. Website says dogs are "welcome everywhere", however this is not extended to the dining room, so I had to leave my dog in the car. This must be more explicit if customers are expecting to be able to bring dogs with them.

I was only staying one night as visiting a friend. The staff were not welcoming at all. I arrived half an hour before checking and was told I could not park in the carpark until checkin time. Checkin was quite robotic. The hallway smelled of dog and was dirty and stained carpet. The room was boiling hot with the radiator blazing hot. The carpet was brown and looked awful. No towels in the bathroom. I would not stay there again

The staff are friendly, Colin who is looking after the place was very kind and help with all my questions. And a great person to chat too.

I hope this was a bad night but food was awful. Time to receive it exceeded 40minutes and it was cold, dry and hard. No grilled items available, no chips (replaced with fries). It was almost like you visited Basil and Sybil, without the comedy part.

My friend and I visited Ringwood from Bath for the day a delightful town.Where we came upon the The Original White Hart we could see the menu on a table through the window and liked the look of what was on the menus so we went inside.The place looked interesting and immacilate plenty of space.They staff were so friendly and efficiant.The food was glorious and tasty and well presented at a really low cost and in return received high standards.I wish this establishment was situated in Bath we will certainly returan whan that way again. Old hotel with old rooms and expensive for the service. Spider webs on the window. Clean sheets and towels but squeky old matrass.

I'd like to speak a little about how lovely the bar staff Tom and Issy were to me and my boyfriend during our visit. Issy has only been there a week and she was unbelievably lovely, chatty and even offered me some of her break food 🥰, I declined, but it looked AMAZING, so well done chefs. Issy went above and beyond hospitality, I definitely see her getting a promotion in the near future. The chefs were a good crack as we had a laugh about my fear of the big ass spider that was outside the pub (p.s still don't know how or why they went so close to the thing 😂🕷️🕸️). The boyfriend would also like to say that Tom was welcoming too and they had a good old chat, again going above and beyond. Both Issy and Tom are very personable people, well done staff and whoever is hiring these lovelies 👍🏼👍🏼. Good drinks, good laughs, pool table, extremely friendly locals, not too busy. Brilliant pub!

We moved to Ringwood in December and absolutely love the town. We found the White Hart the first week and we visit a couple of times a week now. The staff are always friendly (particularly Ollie!) and the food always comes out quickly. We have tried different things on the menu and have never been disappointed.

Went for a roast dinner with the family for a Sunday Roast. The staff, David, Ollie and Chris (chef) served up a lovley meal. Very fast service and great value for money.

This place is amazing! We visited years ago and it was lovely to return. Everyone was so polite and helpful.

My wife and I have been here twice in the last month and have really enjoyed the food, the great service and the relaxing atmosphere. Special mention to Emma, Davide and Izzy for the great food. Keep it up guys. 😊

I had a very pleasant stay at the Original White Hart Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed and the food was good. The bar stocks local beers which I like. I will be back if I come to Ringwood

Great food and great service. I had the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection by chef Izzy and washed it down with a delicious pint of Ringwood razerback on the superb recommendation of the kind JP behind the bar. Would highly recommend.

The food quality is spot on it tasted amazing The bed room service was excellent it felt like I was back home. I recommend to come to this place they will never disappoint you I promise.

The Original White Hart dates back to 1806 and is heritage listed. Managers Diane and Chris provide a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff who serve the bar and food are friendly and informative. The guest rooms are clean and comfortable with en suite bathroom and television. Breakfast is provided at a reasonable price. The Original White Hart is centrally located in High Street and walking distance to restaurants, shops and the Ringwood bus stop. Highly recommended for budget accommodation, a pint of Guinness at the bar and dinner with family and friends. The Sunday roasts are very popular, great value and served from midday to 6 pm.

Love the vibe here, they make you so welcome and they love dogs. The food is absolutely delicious and very good value for money. Dave & Emma are great hosts, very obliging. We holiday in Ringwood twice a year and come to the Original White Hart every evening whilst we're here for a few drinks & the chat, eating here a couple of days too. We'll be back, as we always do. Stained soiled bedding never stay there again

Stayed at the Original White Hart in Ringwood and ate there most of the time, mainly because the food was so good. Nothing to do with the menu, more due to the skill of the chef and kitchen staff. We actually asked for their names so that we could recognise their skills with a review. So, here we go... Thank you both sincerely Chris and Izzy, for providing the best cooked meals we have enjoyed so far this year. Your effort, skill and hard work are very much appreciated.

Emma is the barmaid and she was fantastic. Quick to help, polite and friendly. An ambassador for the pub for sure.

I stayed at the hotel. Unfortunately my shower or bath didn't have any running water. Member of the hotel team came to room. She also couldn't get it working. So I couldn't shower on a very warm day .I asked if I could have a refund . Hotel staff said she would report to manager and get back to me. My sister had also tried to get bath and shower working but couldn't. I did not get a response so contacted the hotel . Was advised I had to go through guest feedback. Did that. Took 4 weeks and longer to get response. Response was dishonest and I was told that maintenance had come to my room and showed me bath and shower were working. This definately was not what happened . No maintenance person entered my room, showed me how it was working . As said it was a hotel receptionist who came to room and couldn't get it working. She told me she would report it to maintenance. I have been advised I won't get a refund based on the hotel manager and team being dishonest and saying the guest was shown how bath shower worked. Which didn't happen. Whilst I appreciate things break and need fixing so shower bath not working is one thing which cannot be helped . But having a shower or bath when paying for a room I feel is fundamental to stay and if not working should be offered a refund or part refund. BUT what is so dissapointing about the whole matter is the hotel team being dishonest in this matter and also it took over a month to give me that response.

Excellent service from Ollie and Tom. Ollie in particular was outstanding and incredibly attentive and helpful. Had the steak deal which is great value and delicious. Highly recommended.

We had lunch at the White Hart today- the service was excellent - helpful and cheerful. The food was very good value and the pub is comfortable spacious and full of character. Like an old fashioned pub - in a good way.

Room was claustrophobic and poor value for money being very expensive and which did not include breakfast. Orange juice watered down and coffee tasted of cheep instant. Staff rude and unfriendly. ,

The room wasn't that clean at all, very run down. Food was not great and breakfast was horrible.

The bar staff were really friendly and welcoming. They actually took time to help us plan our day out for the next day which was really useful as we are visiting the area. The food arrived piping hot and on hot plates. It was delicious. The added bonus was that I could use my Blue Light discount card there too. If we were staying in the area, I would definitely have gone back there to eat again 👍

A lovely stay with our family. The staff, Emma, Davide and Finn were so helpful, friendly and very professional. Nothing was too much and they went above and beyond with a very caring manor throughout the whole of our stay and they must be commended for this. There are some areas outside that are a little tired and could be made prettier but am sure they will be updated. On a whole a lovely place and if we are in the area again would definitely stay there and would recommend.

As soon as I walked in, I could feel quality, everything was perfect, JP poured a perfect pint of Guinness, Alice too was just fantastic and gave 1st class service, then came the food, absolutely quality through and through, hot and satisfying and very well presented , hot plates and fantastic portions and price too, definitely worth a visit and I’d highly recommend staying for the food, everybody was so friendly and so professional, I look forward to my next visit to The Original White Hart in Ringwood…
