Subjected to racist interaction with a barman, while visiting for a drink with family after a birthday meal. Horrifying experience. Staff have zero customer facing skills, take no accountability and this establishment needs to go back to the drawing board when it comes to training!
Blimey, where do I even start?
We recently went here for breakfast, as they’d finally brought back their full English breakfasts.
We used to love coming here for breakfast, but it’s truly gone down hill in recent years. Which is such a massive shame.
The server was rude and abrupt, and honestly looked like she’d rather be anywhere else than there (which, to be honest… I’d of been the same)
The app was broken, so couldn’t order online - which wasn’t great as they’re severely understaffed.
After ordering we waited nearly 25 for our coffee, which was basically just warm milk.
Food, well we wondered where our food was for a while, despite the constant dinging of the service bell from the kitchen for over 7 minutes, which everyone could hear apart from the servers. We could clearly see our food getting colder by the minute.
Our food arrived stone cold, slimed potatoes , rubbery eggs. In the end we sent back our food and quickly got out of there.
Can’t forget the great ambient music played by a workers phone, which probably wasn’t very family friendly or radio edits.
Honestly, they had no organisation, sugar from bowls with table spoons that was passed around from table to table, no clear management making sure things were done.
I did wonder what was so fascinating in the customer toilets, cause most employees went in there 3/4 times during the 45 minutes we were there.
Definitely will not be returning. Thank goodness.
Visited with my grandchildren staff unwelcoming and very rude First time trying this cafe and definitely won’t return the staff need some customer care training
Our experience at Pizza Hut was far from impressive. The food, including the pizza, was extremely oily, making it feel heavy and unhealthy. The drink options were just as disappointing, with no healthier alternatives. Surprisingly, even McDonald's would have been a better choice in terms of quality.
The seating arrangement was also frustrating. There were no two-person tables at the back of the restaurant, so we were forced to sit right next to the window, where people in the queue stared at us while we ate. It made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. I'm honestly puzzled by the queue outside, considering the poor quality of the food.
This was our first and definitely last visit to Pizza Hut—or any similar place, for that matter. Not a pleasant experience at all.
We visited Chopstix as we’d tried the chain elsewhere and thought it would be a quick option whilst shopping.
This was not a quick option....
I wanted to be able to say that this branch was as good as the others we’d tried, however, the queue was long and the two ladies at the till/drinks fridge seemed intent on finishing their personal conversation- much to the chagrin of the poor lady serving the food.
I put in our order- one rice base, one noodles, there were so many noodles in my rice, I should’ve just asked for noodles.
Out of the two ‘toppings’ I chose, neither were available. I enquired with the chef as to how long I would have to wait for the beef and he just stared at me disdainfully and shrugged. My partner wanted the Thai red chicken- also unavailable so we were then limited and ended up paying extra for options which weren’t our first choice.
In total, in my medium box, I received 7 pieces of chicken for £8.50. In my partners box, he had 5 pieces of chicken and 4 prawns for £8.50. When we paid, the women at the til were still chatting and I had to ask twice for drinks.
The floor was covered rice and chicken bones, the tray had greasy gunk underneath when I carried it back to the table and the place was so crowded that I gave up queuing to complain after 10 minutes of standing waiting.
All in all this was a disgusting, expensive meal. I wish I’d gone to five guys instead
So so shocked with disappointment here £19.60 received a tiny hot dog bacon I cud not c cheese niL taste mostly scabby chips niL ice cubes for my soda waiting 10 mins to be served waiting 10 mins for food. The Owner is savvy he knows ppl visit once per yr so that's how he makes his billions. Thief
When Debenhams changed the style of it's cafe offering, they seemed to have really taken it up market. Standards, particularly those of the staff, had rocketed and although I reckon a lot of folks wouldn't have liked the improvements (old habits die hard), I and many others did.Unfortunately the honeymoon period has clearly passed and this visit was less that satisfactory.Tables littered when we arrived, checkout system slow and food no longer quite as classy as it previously has been.Ordering soup and a jacket potato, we took our seats and waited on it's arrival. After about 10 minutes, the buzzer flashed (they use an electronic table ID system) and we waited expectently for the food to arrive. Nothing! Thinking that perhaps they had changed the system and we should go back to collect it, I headed to the till point. Could see both items sitting under the heat lights but was advised that it would be brought over.Returning, we seemed to wait for ages before the Baked Potato arrived. Putting it down, the waitress advised me that my wife's soup would be following. I was about halfway through my meal as she passed us with two more baked potatoes for another table. Almost finished my meal, the soup finally arrived - along with appologies for the delay. The baked potato was packed with filling but frankly, was mildly warm rather than hot whereas my wife did say her soup was very hot (maybe it was thanks to the time under the heat lights). The salad accompanying it was poor and really only represented compliance with a menu description, certainly not adding to the value of the meal.A real disappointment which left me feeling that Debenhams have allowed their cafe to begin to sink to the depths of the old one which would be a real shame.
Went to the hub for something to eat, bought the cheapest item in the shop, allowing us to park in their car park, so cheaper than parking in CMK with their stupid car parking charges
staff are genuinely horrendous but its like they pick who they are rude too. They get extremely butt-hurt if you say bread before baguette because in their world bread is only for sandwiches. Its a shame because no one deserves that level of passive aggressiveness when they are doing nothing wrong. Sort your staff out.
Nice milkshakes, large selection to choose from however every single solitary time I have come here, it has taken well over 15 minutes to get one simple milkshake even if I’m the only one in the store
Dirty floors, table, surfaces, cutlery and plates.
Coffee was ok.
Service was slow, despite being quiet work areas also dirty as well as customer areas.
I have not been for sometime and was really surprised at the poor general hygiene.
This little restaurant is a hidden gem!! We ate here last night (27th Feb). The lay out of the restaurant is modern and stylish. The waitress Emily was rushed off her feet, but she was perfect and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much for her and she made our evening enjoyable and relaxing. Thank you very much Emily 😊
The menu is on the smaller side but with a time limit I understand why. My husband had fish cakes to start which looked very well presented. He said they were very light and beautifully cooked. We waited 10 minutes before our mains arrived. For mains my husband had a New York burger and I had a chicken and bacon salad. The burger was full of flavour and again well presented. The cheese was melted perfectly and the bacon was cooked just right (not too crispy or undercooked). My husband would have liked more cheese but he does love the stuff. Normally I’m a little worried about ordering a salad because they come with just lettuce and tomatoes. BUT this salad was without a doubt the best salad I have ever eaten!! It had everything you could ask for! The chicken and bacon were cooked to perfection. It was dressed with a lemony dressing which worked so well. I can’t fault it!! It looked gorgeous! I have never had such a lovely salad. Even thinking about it is making my mouth water!
I then had a cheesecake, my husband was too full for dessert. The cheesecake came out on a decorated board with lemon and gin coulis stars which made me smile - lovely little touch. It had a delicious crumb sprinkled around the board which gave it that extra little touch.
Overall, our dining experience here was 10/10 we will be back again very soon. I hope this gets shown to Emily and the chefs in the kitchen. It was also nice seeing the chefs smiling and enjoying themselves through the kitchen window. You can tell the chefs who made our food really really cared and puts all their love and passion into making the food look fabulous.
Again thank you 😊
