Me and my friends wanted to say a huge thank you to Ruby, she was a lovely server and went above and beyond to accommodate us! Makes me want to return again!
Food tasty but insufficient staff levels. Mitchell’s and Butler need to put more staff on. We waited a good while before we were offered drinks. When we asked a question, the waitress said she would need to go & find out and ask. She never did return with an answer.
A very bad experience. One of the staff members was very rude, with arrogant and unprofessional behavior that does not represent the image of Costa Coffee or his other colleagues and does not respect the trust and loyalty of the customer. He informed me that they close at 8:00 PM without any prior notice and that I should leave the table immediately. The communication was completely unethical and provocative.
I went into Nandos to add a chilli from a previous visit. I had been told by staff on my previous visit that as I did not have my Nandos card at the time, I could add the chilli later. On this visit, the manager was adamant that I could not as my receipt had been dated December. I asked her whether there was a time limit, she said no still refusing to acknowledge my receipt. I have promised not to return. I will bring my custom to restaurant where customers are valued.
We popped in here for lunch and made our way throught the food selection area being quickly served by the counter staff. We both had the ham and cheese baguette with pickle, a bag of crisps and a scone with jam and cream. With a couple of coffees it came to £27 which is in line with what you'd expect to pay in a restaurant or pub. We found all of the food to be really nice and the coffee stayed hot throughout. Our only disapointment was the canteen style chairs and tables and an atmosphere akin to a blue chip employees break out area. Because of this we wont return as we prefer a more intimate, relaxed, cosy surroundings.
Always welcomed into Bon Viveur by helpful and happy staff who are always polite.
Good value coffee and quality cooked snacks.
Happy to return whenever I can.
Went here for a birthday lunch with 3 friends - not an enjoyable experience! The restaurant was freezing cold so we had to keep our coats on - our green tea was brought to us in a cardboard cup, the service was so slow we were on the verge of leaving! When the food eventually arrived we were all underwhelmed so we won’t revisit and definitely would not recommend!
I came in on my lunch break to quickly grab a drink and lunch. I ordered a vanilla frap with added java chips, which is something I order quite frequently. A Barista handed me my drink and i was immediately surprised by the color of it because it was a completely different color than what I usually get when I order the same thing. I asked her to double check, “this is a vanilla frappachino with java chips, correct?” and she said “yes!” and i said “oh right okay, it just looks like a completely different colour” and she didn’t say anything else. I headed back to work and started my drink just to find that it is indeed not the drink i ordered, it’s a chocolate base frapp with the java chips. It’s way too sweet and rich and just annoyingly not what I asked for. I understand mistakes happen but I’m frustrated that I double checked with the barista and she told me it was right when it wasn’t. Attached are pictures of the very chocolately frap I received today compared to pictures of the normal vanilla frap with added java chips. One is very obviously vanilla, one is very obviously chocolate.
I booked a table 2 weeks ahead for the jazz night for 2 people for 7pm. I booked through the website directly. I was asked the day before to confirm the booking which I did. When I booked I specifically asked to be seated near the band, the only reason we were coming was the live music. When we arrived a few minutes before 7 I showed my booking and was told all the seats bear the band have been given out and I should go try and find a seat if there are any in the back of the venue. I repeated that we booked and had a reservation for 7pm specifically for this reason. The manager said he knew but we should try and find seats at the back if we want. We tried but most tables had reserved sign on and by the time we could have sat down we may as well have been at a different venue listening to music from a different room. I tried to speak to him again, there were tables at the front with reserved sign on, I reserved a table, arrived on time. He told me all tables are gone. I tried to speak to another member of staff about raising a complaint and he said he didn't know how to and the manager was the most senior person on site. It was an absolute disgrace, why take bookings if you won't honour them. We drove over half an hour for this event. I would never come here again. Awful customer service, the incompetence is ridiculous.
Really great service from Callum (don’t know his last name only that he’s 26 years old) he went the extra mile to make a customer happy he could sense I was having a rough day at work gave a friendly chat really related about the work life in hospitality and knowing the challenges it brings he still had a smile on his face after a long day also. It is nice to get that validation that you did a good job in customer service in particular as we often get treated the worst in this industry so from someone that very much related he did a really good job.
Had an amazing dine-in experience at Sizzling Grills. I ordered the chicken biryani, and it was packed with flavor—perfectly cooked rice, tender chicken, and just the right amount of spice. What really stood out was the variety of sauces they served alongside—each one added a unique twist to the meal. The service was excellent; staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. Prices were very reasonable considering the quality and portion size .Definitely will be coming back to.
