The best restaurants in River Medway South East

We booked a table for 11am, we arrived at 11.07 to be told that the kitchen is closed. So I’m wondering if they accept reservations for 11am, does that require that they time you and that you are only allowed to order once?? Absolutely ridiculous behaviour towards their customers. Surely I won’t be trying this again!

We had such a difficult morning, just stopped for a coffee and ended trying their Red lentil soup (yummy) Cake and coffee. Really enjoyed. Staff were very friendly and kind. Fixed my day. Definitely recommend it.

Food quality is really pathetic, wings are not properly cooked and not freshly made. Also my order is missing samosas. Worst experience.

Booked a table of 18 for my sons 21st, owner was very accommodating meeting all my needs with ease. Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Food I cannot fault it was all amazing came out fresh hot and delicious. Drinks (cocktails were lovely). Lovely little gem of a restaurant would definitely go back. Thank-you to all staff, you made my sons 21st birthday very enjoyable.

What a Gem! Can’t believe I’ve never been here before. They really know how to professionally run a cafe. The service was great, the food was delicious and well priced. We had warm scones, clotted cream and jam with coffees. The oat latte was made perfectly and we can’t wait to come back. They gave us promotional discounts for their Sunday roast and breakfast options. Will return, thank you!

I came for an evening takeaway with my baby in tow. The service was amazing, the servers were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. The quality of the food is equally as impressive. Highly recommended!

Original review below from 2017, sadly as of Nov 2023 now seems to be closed. Facebook showed closure as of July but hours not updated. Wasn't open on a Saturday afternoon/evening when we visited. Fantastic hospitality, great beers. need to come back to try the food!

So after seeing this kebab/burger shop on TikTok we decided to give it a go. The actual place inside is massive , couldn’t believe how far it goes back , lots of seats all very clean and well presented. We ordered two meal deals that compromise of a cheeseburger 🍔 chips 🍟 and a can of drink, The food turned up in a reasonable amount of time and was piping hot 🔥it tasted amazing, the burger was juicy and flavoursome, chips were crispy , everything 10 out of 10 !!! Well done hungry house will definitely be returning!

Brilliant friendly little pub with lots of craft beers, lagers and ciders. Plenty of events on too with something for everyone.

Visited for the 2nd time this year and as before it didn't disappoint, great food,great service, really friendly,lovely atmosphere.
