The best restaurants in Lewes South East

Didn’t try the food. But wouldn’t want to sit in there and eat with how messy the tablets were. There were at least 5 members of staff or more, Wasn’t busy but seems like staff were just rushed and panicked. Ordered at the till and waiting 10 minutes for our drinks just for them to be wrong. Ordered 3 large drinks. Didn’t take responsibility for putting the drinks through wrong. No apology. Just said well I put them through as regular. Wouldn’t go again, this ain’t the first time my order had been messed up.

A little expensive, but nice food

Food was great delivery was later than specified but food was still hot I’m not complaining I love this chinese

Sunday lunch was excellent. Traditional roast and nut roast were freshly cooked and supported with home cooked veg and cauliflower cheese. Our child’s macaroni cheese was well received. Harvey’s Best was just as a Harvey’s drinker would want. Thank you!

Excellent quality of food the best Chinese in Seaford

Only my second ever visit. A first for Casta and Madge. A CAMRA Good Beer Guide pub and a Cask Marque. A Harvey's pub with 3 of their beers. Had a super Sussex Best. The pub wraps round the central bar, access from the back where there is a beer patio. There is a separate dining room and thus pub serves foid. One TV and a dart board. Accesdible toilet.

Shocking service no people at the bar serving. Despite a queue, the place a strange atmosphere not at all welcoming.

First time here and just popped in for a pint late Friday afternoon. Lovely warm fire in the grate, proper pub atmosphere and good beer. Groups of women at the back of the pub so clearly appears female friendly. Eventually served by an older chap with a Pint and a half of excellent tasty Harvey's Old Ale, the cost £8.80 ? Service was somewhat slow and the chap behind the bar seemed busy multitasking serving food, clearing plates and collecting glasses. We could also see a large quantity of unwashed collected glasses on the back bar and a full glass washer, perhaps a sign of the pubs popularity? Food seemed at the mid high end cost wise but as we didn't eat I cannot comment on quality or quantity. Would I go back, yes as the beer was great and a few pints in front of the fire is tempting.

If I could leave no stars I would. The rudest, aggressive staff, shocking food and very dirty. Wouldn’t let my dog eat here!

best curry in saltdean, rottingdean and peacehaven area, food cooked fresh to order that’s why you have to wait about an hour, good value family run takeaway ❤️

Ok so who is busy on a Thursday lunchtime well it seems Jugg's is on pulling up in the carpark i was quite surprised and wished we had booked. Its bigger than it looks fortunately. we just intended to have a light snack, but a quick read of the menu changed that if i had to sum it up in one word its honest, the service was friendly and welcoming as soon as the food arrives you understand why they are busy you go back and back again Steak and Guinness Pie with bubble and squeak and veg good honest food that gives you a hug, cooked incredibly well and a great portion size oh and amazing gravy.
