Yummy! Staying in air bnb down the road - thought we’d try this place as didn’t want to drive or catch bus. Wow what an amazing choice this was, very friendly staff - was welcoming and set up a table for us and got us drinks quickly. Amazing freshly cooked food, good portions too. Tandoori chicken biriani was to die for also comes with vedge curry on the side. Very good prices too, little gem and hope to return in future holidays to Brighton. Surprised it wasn’t busier however they do takeaways too.

Best Indian takeaway for miles. It's in Saltdean, so not really Brighton even though it is administratively. We have used Manoshi for many years and rate it the best in the area. We've never had a bad meal from them. The food is delicious and portion size is generous, making it better value than most near us. Thoroughly recommend Manoshi for quality, reliability and value

Really poor quality veg biriani hardly any vegetables the little vetables it had were frozen. potatoes were not fresh and seemed days old rice was chewy and also not freshly cooked 1 out of 10. Now have an upset stomach very disappointing would not recommend

I would have put zero stars if I could have. Avoid this place. So what happened is the following: We got in and the customer before us already seemed very angry with the lady at the counter. Didn’t notice it and placed an order. ONLY when we paid have we then been told « the wait is 50mins ». We kindly asked for a refund because we couldn’t wait and the lady at the counter refused, saying that she cannot do refunds on her machine and then saying « you didn’t ask me for the time so I didn’t tell you. If you wanted to know you should have asked ». After I tried to explain to her that in customer service, you can’t expect customers to ask, you should notify them (preferably before the payment) when the wait is going to be long, she went to the kitchen and the chef said « tell them 20mins ». She came back and said « is 30mins okay? » we said yes and sat down. She came back to me 5 mins later saying « by the way have you EVER been to Indian restaurant before?! Because I can tell you there is NO WHERE you will find Indian food under 45mins ». I said to her that A) as a matter of fact I am an indian food lover and went to at least 10 Indian places in Peacehaven, Newhaven and Brighton who ALL serve under 30mins but that B) This is not the matter. The matter is her customer service, not telling the waiting time, then telling us it’s our fault because we didn’t ask, refusing to give a refund and then coming back when the argument is over to keep it going and ask if I had ever been to an Indian place before was beyond rude. At this point she stormed out and hysterically shouted at the chef that she was doing a refund because I was « super rude ». Anyway, if you are on Longridge avenue looking for food, China Town (Chinese) and lobster (fish & chips) are both EXCELLENT and they serve under 20mins. We wanted to try this one because it smelled good. Didn’t get to even try.

We ordered a chicken jalfrezi and chicken tikka masala. Both dishes were very tasty and we really enjoyed them. If you are in the Saltdean area you should definitely get a curry from here. Great food, good value and friendly service. 5 *

First time ordering food at Manoshi and me and my gf were not disappointed. Tasty food , good portions, nice staff . We've actually ordered over the counter it took only 30 min .

Took 3 hours to not deliver any food. They clearly can’t cope. Called on multiple occasions and was assured it was going to be ready soon. Avoid at all costs!

Date ordered: Friday 22nd September Time ordered: 18:15 Estimated delivery time: 19:45 Actual delivery time: 20:10 Ordering took an age as they didn’t know their menu and no naan bread just over an hour after opening. Delivery was expected to be a while but had us waiting an extra 25 mins, above the 1hr 30mins which was quoted (fairly reasonable for a busy Friday night). Food finally arrived but actually tasted quite good, although the bhaji’s were overcooked to the point of not being eadable. Won’t be ordering again.

Had the best curry for ages. Such a treat for my birthday. Best Indian takeaway in the area. The portions are generous and the food is full of flavour. We have used Manoshi for years and plan to for many more.

First time ordering from Manoshi. We normally order from another outlet in Saltdean. The food was amazing, lovely fresh ingredients, very tasty. The menu is varied and diverse. Will definitely be ordering again.

Big mistake, got the order so wrong, took much longer, and the dishes were poor, Dhal was like soup, balti was too hot to eat, so not a balti! Got too many Nans and main corse missing, when we called back we got aggressive rudeness.

We arrived late, after the kitchen had been cleaned down, yet we were welcomed with a friendly smile and the chef/owner prepared us a fresh meal from scratch. Cooking and presentation were meticulous: lamb biryani, dahl, bhajis, and lamb tikka masala with all the trimmings all tasted authentic and expertly spiced. Thank you, Manoshi. We'll be back at a kinder hour.

Had a takeaway from here last night, first time we have used Manoshi for a few years after a poor experience - which was about waiting time not food. Ordered over the phone, timings given were accurate, collected the food ourselves. Four of us thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was delicious, plentiful and of very good quality. We’ll be back!

Some of the best Indian food I have tasted. Very quiet restaurant, I don’t know why there’s not more people in here. It’s really friendly and the food is super tasty. And really good value. Highly recommend.

Never leave reviews but food was just that good. Me and my boyfriend came here for the first time today and we are very pleased we did. I had the chicken biryani with curry and he had the tikka masala, both with naan and it was 10/10. Friendly customer service and great value for money, thank you:)

Went here the other night with my family and honestly cannot fault the place! Service was great and the food was delicious. Very polite and friendly lady who served us, she couldn't do enough for us! Highly highly recommend, very impressed.

Best Indian takeaway in the UK.

Hands down my favourite take away east of Brighton. Consistently awesome, they are our go to take away after we moved to the area over 2 years ago. I think they’ve even got better since reopening after the lockdowns. Another delicious lamb tikka bhuna and onion bajis! Don’t be put off by the decor, it’s in no way representative of the quality of food, which is brilliant. Highly recommend!

The best Indian in Saltdean. Lovely fresh food and very tasty. Regularly get take aways from Manoshi and they are always ready when they say they will be and staff are friendly.

One of the best if not the best kharai I've ever had. Rich in flavour tender meat. Well cooked egg rice. Quick delivery service.

After avoiding this place having had a very poor meal 2.5 years ago I had a takeaway tonight and it was delicious- fresh, tasty and hot. Cooked to order so it was worth the wait. Definitely will revisit

I believe that this place has recently been taken over. Food arrived within the hour time given. All food was hot and tasty. I particularly enjoyed the aloo panir. I will be returning.

Used to be excellent. Last 2 times had chewy tough reheated chicken jalfrezi. Like eating leather. Food is just pinged in micro.

Used the be great takeout here. Now it's just microwaved reheated food. Dry, leathery meat, inedible. What a shame, used to be great.

This place relies heavily on the fact that there is only one other Indian takeaway nearby, and has got really lazy. I called up to place my order a good hour and a half before it was needed, and the phone was ordered by someone who then put it down for a good 5 minutes whilst she served other people in the shop, then she made a bollocks of the order and I STILL had to wait a further HALF AN HOUR in the shop whilst they eventually decided to lash together a vague resemblance of my order. Shame, you could be great. As it is I'll be going to Rottingdean for my curry in future, you've had your last chance.

Tried this twice recently and it must have improved since the last time four years ago. Very tasty curry and the meat (lamb) was lovely and tender compared to the rubbery meat we have had from Saltdean Spice.

We had just moved to Saltdean, our first night, and friends were due to visit to opted for a take away from Manoshi and it was the worst meal I think I've had for decades.... #

ordered a takeaway at 5.50pm on sat 4th march, taken over 2 hours, still no food, they are in meltdown, phone taken off hook, when you get through they dont answer.

I ordered a take away for me and my husband which I was told would be UP TO an hour (mid week). After an hour and 20 minutes I phoned up and it hadn't even left. I said that if it wasn't going to be with me within the next 10 minutes I'd rather cancel. It was another 15! The food arrived hot, but didn't have much flavour. It was very oily and there was a lot of sauce and not a lot of meat/veg in the curries. The Nan was undercooked. I won't be returning! A long wait for less than average food.

Been twice now, and each time the Lamb Madras was delicious. Hot but not too hot and with a nice subtle blend of flavours. The Pilau Rice was perfect, although the Keema Naan was floppy (as usual with a takeaway - best to cook these at hone!). Just one negative - telephone order took 35 mins even though they didn't seem to be busy. Price £19 for 2 with extras so not bad value. Parking difficult at peak times ( 8pm on Saturday). Will use again!

Food took 1 hour and 45 minutes to make it to the very beginning of Telscombe cliffs. I could have walked there in 15minutes! Once the food finally arrived it was possibly the worst food I have ever eaten. Bland, watery and sloppy. Also not particularly good value for money. Very disappointed. Will never order from here again.

Waited 2.5 hours for food that was told would only take an hour. Why do they lie? If they had just said it would take that long I would have not bothered to order in the first place and would not feel so angry.

No vivo muy lejos de la nuestra, así que Manoshi ir a un restaurante indio para llevar. Siempre son amables y la comida es casi siempre buena - hemos tenido de vez en cuando un trozo de carne que es un poco duro, pero eso es de esperar en cualquier lugar. Hay una muy buena variedad de curries y lados - me encanta el sag aloo! Los precios son buenos.

We went home at night and we were hungry. "Restaurant" is not so nice inside but food was fresh and really tasty. I am sure, that I will order again.

Always excellent food quality, we have never been dissappointed. We have been having food from Manoshi for many many years. Would highly recommend.

My Partner and I have used this Indian take away on numerous occasions. Every time it's been tasteful. Friends and family now arrange to visit us for "curry" nights so they too can enjoy this great takeaway.

Este es un restaurante sólo llevar/, algunos de los mejores curry que he tenido. Fuimos y ordenados y dijeron que ella listo en 20 minutos. Nos fuimos a dar un paseo y cuando volvimos la comida estaba lista/ comida estupenda, un gran servicio. La única pega es que no aceptan tarjetas, sólo en efectivo.

two hours to deliver (required chasing up) after no show, the food delivered was cold and watery lacking in flavour,no apology for being more than twice the quoted wait time. Won't be ordering from here again - so disappointed.

Ordered Chicken Achari and King Prawn Balti. Both sauces looked and tasted exactly the same, neither was good. The sauce was extremely hot, (and I'm an experienced hot curry eater), I managed mine, my wife didn't, despite her dish described as medium strength. My Achari was described as hot and certainly lived up to billing. The base sauce has a strange aroma, texture and taste, not at all pleasant. On the plus side both chicken and prawns were well cooked and tender. The naan bread was fresh and good. Give it a go but don't expect the earth and you won't be disappointed. Price wise you're talking around a tenner per curry and accompaniment, which seems about the par for this area.

We have used this takeaway many times since moving to the area and have never been disappointed. The menu is extensive and the food is of a high quality. It is all freshly cooked so allow a bit of time - we usually order over the phone and collect. They do offer a delivery service but we haven't ever used it. We often order from here when friends are staying and they have always been impressed. Many dishes come with pilau rice and portions are generous, and good value for money.
