3 of us came here yesterday for a post-hike roast and beer. They have their own range of craft beer, and a good selection of real ale. I had one of the 3 veggie roast options. It was fantastic. The Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, swede/sweet potato mash and gravy were absolutely in the top 5 roasts I've had. My friends had the lamb shoulder and chicken. They both said it was seriously good. We didn't have room for dessert but the options looked decent both on the menu and on other diners tables. The bar staff were knowledgeable about the beers and whoever was chef knows how to cook well. Absolutely recommend a Sunday Roast here!

Pelham House is a true gem in the heart of Lewes, blending historic charm with contemporary elegance to create a wedding venue like no other. As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing unforgettable moments at this Grade II listed townhouse, and it never fails to leave a lasting impression.

First of all the staff on reception in the evening when we arrived and in the morning when we left were very friendly and helpful. Our problem was with the rooms. The first room we were given had a musty/wet dog type of smell. It also hadn’t been cleaned that well as there was hair, dust and dust bunnies on bathroom floor and on skirting boards and carpet.??We complained and reception gave us another room. The second room was better but still had some dust bunnies around and biscuit and food debris under the chair seat. We only had towels for one person. It was a bit of a disappointment as we visited 2 weeks ago and everything was fine. If you think we are being overcritical, my wife used to work for a major hotel chain and we now run our own holiday accommodation business, and cleanliness and service is what people pay for. I would also recommend two bins are provided for recyclable and other waste rather than placing waste for recycling on the carpet.
