Came here today for some lunch and a few drinks as my mum and dad have just moved around the corner. I came in alone and was warmly welcomed by the landlord who was very friendly. We had some delicious Thai food and the food service was great. Other customers were friendly too and there is the most gorgeous friendly dog, which is an added bonus! A really lovely local pub that I’ll no doubt be seeing a lot more of!

I was welcomed during the day and the place was clean and homeley. The Thai meal was wonderful and we will definitely do that again. We are "locals " and so know the alternatives. The Cinque Ports is definitely in our top " go to " places!. Thank you...Cinque Ports.

Clearly not family friendly! Don't ask to take a child in there especially if they have disabilities. The landlord shouts at them without speaking to the parents first. When he was told she has disabilities he replied "I don't care, don't bring her in here , in fact don't take her to an adult environment again" Completely inappropriate and clearly needs some training !

What a great find down in the old lanes of Seaford - an unpretentious , cosy atmosphere of a restaurant pub, with the friendliest of barmaids, and landlord. We even bumped into the chef outside (compliments to him for the tasty grub consumed ! )Went there with my son - and still being a bit nervous about dining in public with the recent covid lockdown, we were put at ease with fantastic covid measures in place (temperature taken, taking contact details )- and then we quickly moved on to eating like kings two evenings in a row (eat out to help out scheme, which on a budget for a few days down by the coast seemed too good to be true (although the normal menu prices were entirely reasonable aside from this!!) - recommend the chicken wings/blue cheese dip and the delicious steak, with homemade onion rings. When we were there , the other clientele were made up of older couples, families, and groups of men belonging to some kind of club - all very convivial and non intimidating - the vibe was very relaxed and everyone seemed happy , chatty and catered to. I only wish I can visit in the colder months when they have the roaring fires going - after a walk along a winter windswept seafront I bet it’s like a cosy blanket entering into The Cinque Port.

We used the Pub on 3 evenings while in Seaford for a weeks Holiday - on our first visit we were greeted by the very friendly Publican who chatted with us between serving people we also had some conversation with a few of the regular customers - this made us feel very welcome. There are large screen TV`s there for watching mainly Sporting events and they have a Darts team who play in local leagues - although we did not stay much later than about 8pm I would guess that the pub is a very popular one with plenty of customers in the evenings. I drink Stella Artois and I have never had a better pint of it - it was excellent. Before finding this Pub we had been into most of the others in the area but If I lived in Seaford `The Cinque Ports` would be my local without a doubt. Chris

We ordered our beverages and food at the bar.(3 burgers) We waited a good 30 mns.(a really waste of time....) When the food arrived,we weren't impressed at all. We searched all of Seaford on a Sunday for a 'fish-n-chips. Needless to say, my girlfriend and I are tourists and not aware every other place was closed. Except...this delightful pub. Parking is of course a challenge to find, however the challenge is rewarded by a lovely experience. The service was typically English, polite, understated and welcoming. We had the Clams and the fish and chips for lunch. Both were incredible. A delicate dish of steamed clams in a Thai style green curry. The fish and chips for two persons was appropriately sized, cooked well and incredibly tasty. (Fat free freaks need not order this dish). Both dishes were incredibly delicious. The cutlery and dishes were clean and the food was filling. The pub is a classic English pub that has not been updated since I roamed those parts of England 20 of plus years ago. Don't change it. I encourage every tourist to make this lovely pub a must do if you are visiting the Seven Sisters or Beachy Head.

After a mornings shopping, my partner & I decided to head for lunch. After a bit of deliberation, we headed to the cinque ports inn, seaford. Lovely, friendly welcome. We chose our drinks & poured over the menu. Emma took over at the beginning of February & has set up a fab menu. Choice of sandwiches, pub classics, jacket potatoes with different fillings, burgers & speciality dishes too. My partner decided on a mixed grill & I plumped for the 8oz rump steak with a peppercorn sauce as an extra. The meals arrived & you could see that everything was prepared from scratch. No frozen chips here! My steak came with homemade chips, peas, beer battered onion rings, mushrooms, tomato & salad. All of it tasted wonderful. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his mixed grill, which included the loveliest, thick gammon either of us had seen. All in all a fabulous meal, great value & will visit as often as possible, to try other dishes available. Desserts are available but, again, that will be tried another time. Highly recommend you visit & give it a try. Thank you Emma

Welcomed with genuine friendliness, we had called in just to try the beer and ended up staying for an evening meal.Beer was Harvey's Best, Long Man Golden or Young's bitter and was well-kept.We selected 7 dishes from the Tapas menu (£2.50 per dish), which was plenty for two, and all the food was well-cooked and tasty - not limited to Spanish dishes - we had Italian meatballs, Moroccan lamb, chorizo in cider, garlic potatoes, spicy fried potatoes, chicken dhansak, mushrooms in creamy garlic sauce with a complementary plate of crusty bread. Need to book in advance to be sure of the 2 fresh seafood options (clams and mussels). The atmosphere was of a traditional English pub, with a range of clientele from youngsters playing pool in a back room, through some lively people enjoying the older selections on the jukebox (which also has the latest chart hits) to us eating and others just 'chilling'. The pub has different zones so that we could enjoy a quiet chat while the music was louder at the other end of the bar.

Went Sunday evening, was the only place in the area we could find serving a Sunday roast past 5pm. We had roast pork and beef, both fantastic, cabbage especially. I would say if you're offering a glut

Chris, Brook and Chrissy were nothing but helpful. They were friendly and no request regarding checking for food allergies were a trouble - They made me feel very welcome!
