Popped in for a coffee and was made to feel very welcome. Used the gents toilet and it was so slean and pleasant smelling Sat outside and enjoed the atmosphere.
What a gem. A warm welcome on arrival tasty cakes and amazing gelato. They really have thought about everyone. From an area for the kids to vegan gelato to alternative milks.
It's nice that they are staying open late in the summer on certain days. Worth checking their facebook page for updated opening hours.
Very disappointed with quality of the measures in shorts. Locals told me that they pour measures out of sight as they are watered down.
They are not wrong.
I visited here a couple of years back and wrote a review about this. The review was taken down after a few months stating that it was ‘under new management’
The same management is till running it and nothing has changed.
Same bald guy running the place.
Living nearby we are always on the look out for a new restaurant to add to our list of eating out places. My husband booked the Table for my birthday meal. First impressions were good, bright, fresh, clean and welcoming. With a lovely well stocked bar, a cocktail before dinner was most enjoyable. As for the meal itself it was a mixture of highs and lows. Possibly some of the staff are new to their jobs. The wine was opened and poured without being offered the chance to try, the waiter looked surprised when my husband said he would like to try it first. We had to ask for bread, but when it arrived, still warm, possibly home made, it was served with a delicious olive oil, balsamic vinegar and garlic dip. One of our guests first requested choice of starter was unavailable, as the restaurant was almost empty this was a surprise as I can’t imagine they had run out. I had a starter of mackerel, in my opinion this should have been thinly sliced as the gin cure hadn’t penetrated the fish completely so was a little chewy. But was still edible. A main course of whole plaice, or possibly sole, was pleasant but so undistinguished I can’t remember what fish it was! It was though bordering on the over salted side, but as someone who chooses not to use a great deal of salt this could be a personal choice. Served with what was listed as a Greek salad, although with the addition of mint rather than oregano, it was very tasty nevertheless. My husband had told them it was my birthday but alas no decorated birthday wishes plate, or even a candle in a sweet was offered. Overall a pleasant evening with friends, but I doubt we will be adding The Table to our list of restaurants to return to.
Pretty poor.
Food was undercooked. We also asked for salt & vinegar but didn't get any. Quite pricey too and the lady that served us didn't appear to be very happy about it.
Seems to be one of those places that is happy to serve locals but not too keen on 'out of towners'. Won't be returning.
Absolutely mind-blowing. If I could give 100 stars out of 20, I would without hesitation. This isn’t just food — this is a culinary miracle, a divine creation wrapped in flatbread. I’ve eaten kebabs all around the world, from Istanbul to Berlin, but nothing comes even remotely close to this masterpiece. The meat? Juicy, perfectly seasoned, melts in your mouth. The sauces? So good they deserve their own Michelin star. The freshness of the veggies? Like they were just picked from the Garden of Eden.
This isn’t just the best kebab I’ve ever had — it’s the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Period. Whoever made this deserves a Nobel Prize in Flavor. If you’re reading this and haven’t tried it yet, stop everything. Go. Now. Your taste buds will thank you forever
I have to give my appreciation to the staff at Eastern Eye for helping me to put together a romantic evening for me and my girlfriend.
The food was absolutely delicious and they were able to easily cater and adapt dishes for vegans, the service was incredible and the environment was warm and hospitable
Couldn’t ask for better, we shall definitely be back in the future!!
