Had a wonderful evening her with friends in July. The place was buzzing. Had a wonderful selection of both food and wine. Most of the staff are Spanish and we're really friendly and helpful. Would recommend this resturant for a fun night out.

Having recently eaten there with local friends and been so impressed we returned again with friends visiting from New York. On each occasion we enjoyed a varied selection of innovative and delicious tapas. We would highly recommend the food and the excellent value for money.

I am a great fan of their breakfasts as they always fill me up, and taste great. I always make sure I get my breakfast grub here when I come to see my parents on the island but recently I went there in the evening with my Mrs. I have to say the Tapas dishes are on par with their breakfasts. They were really nice and the fact that the Mrs wants to go there again says it all (she's very hard to please......seriously!). Staff are really friendly too!

First thing large free car park across the road because this is a place on the street with no parking. That said it is well worth doing just that because this place has a fantastic breakfast menu as well as the normal fry up, in 3 sizes the largest seems a proper gut buster. In addition to these a veggie option smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, there is eggs benedict, American pancakes with bacon and sausage and other breakfasts all at reasonable prices. This is an easy place to miss and drive past but it would be a mistake to do so.

For a standard cafe with a standard menu you with think that there would be few ways to ho wrong. This is not the case. The service was awful, even though the place was pretty much deserted ( no surprise really) and the food was overpriced and greasy and the atmosphere of the place was terrible. Go to the 8 bells across the road. Worlds better!

We ate here on a Saturday night, and it was great. The staff were very friendly. Although the menu was quite small the quality was excellent and well presented. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere of the Mortal Man

Called today what must have been the busiest day ever. Had to queue for ages but the coffee tea cakes and flapjack perfect. My reason for five stars were for the young lady behind the counter working alone and so hard (others working behind the scenes preparing and serving orders ) but she smiled and was so courteous she deserved a medal. Only downside at 2.30 running out of items such as scones bacon sandwiches etc but maybe they did not expect the number of customers . Well done

Came in to see a friend and left with a warm contented feeling, the place is warm and cozy and very friendly, but spacious enough to not be overbearing. The food is excellent and it has to be the best burger on the island hands down, it’s huge, full of flavour and seriously tasty, highly recommend the village inn

One of the best pub Sunday lunches we've had in several years. The meat was succulent - and if you can't choose beef or port you can have half and half. The potatoes were crunchily roasted with soft interior. The Yorkshire puddings seemed a step above most pub versions being neither greasy nor, like so many places, perfect roundels straight from a freezer. There wasn't much green veg but the kale - normally not something I like - was salty and well prepared. Great with the beautifully prepared red cabbage. Big shared portion of cauliflower cheese included too, and - on request - extra gravy and really tangy horseradish. Frankly not much to criticise here and the desserts were brilliant too. We had heard someone say that the change of ownership a week or so back had caused a drop in standards but it's hard to believe that it was ever much better than this. Highly recommended.
