Ordered hot chocolate which took 10 minutes when it arrived it tasted like water. I returned it and the lady looked at me as if I was mad. We were given a replacement which was no better so we left. Couldn't be bothered to complain

A buzzy and convivial vibe, attractive decor and helpful staff. The food arrived promptly and was beautifully put together, delicious and substantial. The one odd thing was that only one set of cutlery was brought to a table with two people, but this was soon rectified. I wasn't sure if we were meant to collect it ourselves before sittting down; if so, this wasn't made clear. Apart from this tiny blip, the experience was perfect!

Saw Voodoo Room today (11/10/2024), they played absolutely spectacularly but due to a leg injury I got a cramp and had to leave 10 minutes early before the interlude. The manager offered me a front row seat that someone hadn't showed up for so my leg wouldn't give me grief. Was an amazing show! super friendly and chatty staff with an above-and-beyond willingness to help! Couldn't recommend this enough.

Quay Arts is the most amazing, unusual and original place. All parts of current exhibition in one of the rooms ( August 2024) are fully interactive. You can yourself make any designs from any parts you choose to pick- wood and wires, huge pieces of wood that fit together like blocks, pieces of fabric that you can stick together and big wooden and fabric items. You can get as creative as you want- great for kids and adults. The idea for that is just fantastic. The cafe is beautifully done and the food is very tasty. The portions are just right. We have spent 2.5h there. There are 3 car parks within 2 minutes walk from the Quay Arts.

My partner and I visited the cafe during what was a quiet period with few tables being occupied. We ordered a cup of tea, a coffee, and a slice of shortbread. It took 23 minutes to arrive at our table. The Earl Grey tea was tasteless as the medium sized teapot was full with water and only one teabag. During the wait, the staff stood behind the counter talking among themselves and not actually working, and this contributed to the delay in our order being brought to our table. I will not be returning to Quay Arts cafe due to the abysmal service, and the unacceptable length of time for our order to arrive.

There is a step to get in the entrance into the shop but if you go round to the quay side you can go directly into the cafe with flat wheelchair accessible entrance. There is a lift up to the upper floor but it's only for those who need it really. There are toilets including disabled next to the cafe. There website is very good at telling you about accessibility.

Superb local multi arts centre. A real hidden gem with a spacious, welcoming coffee shop/cafe at street level, set amongst the wonderfully preserved surroundings of the original victorian quay side warehousing. The centre has a studio theatre for live shows/performance, multiple art galleries, individual workshop areas, a good sized, well stocked craft and related shop and a lovely quayside seating area for sunny days. Recommend a visit to all, even if it's just for a coffee and cake.

The venue is as bright and buzzy as ever, with a good feel. The food arrived promptly and was really tasty. Oddly, the "leek and potato" soup had very much the taste and appearance of mushroom - but luckily no harm done! It was a surprise to find the "white bread" I'd opted for was sliced "supermarket" style - I'm sure it used to be proper crusty bread once upon a time! The staff varied from morose to cheerful, so they kind-of cancelled each other out. A smile and a helpful approach certainly goes an awful long way - it makes things rather hard work otherwise!

Great music and entertainment last Sunday by Brass Volcanoes as part of the Isle of Wight Jazz Weekend. The theatre however was not fit for purpose. The tiered seating had less leg room than a budget airline, the ventilation system, (no air conditioning), could not cope with the heat gains from the audience, (approximately 140), and the lighting system. The only visible emergency exit sign, (from the audiences perspective), directed you to the main door that you entered by. Currently hospitals are seeing an increase in admissions in the aged population who are presenting with the latest strain of Covid. A well ventilated space and keeping your distance from others will reduce the possibility of catching Covid. I personally can now make an informed decision about attending future events in the theatre.

Fancied a quick bite to eat and a member of staff was incredibly rude. The man at the bar with glasses and dark hair said in a rude tone that the kitchen is closing soon and we need to hurry if we want to order food. It was clear he did not want us to, even though it had not closed yet. I confirmed with him, if it isn’t closed yet can we still order now? He said yes but only if we know what we want, and he made it very clear he did not want us to order. We arrived and left all within the space of 2 minutes as we will not spend money somewhere that does not want it. Shocking customer service.

As for the day itself, it really was just perfect. Called today what must have been the busiest day ever. Had to queue for ages but the coffee tea cakes and flapjack perfect. My reason for five stars were for the young lady behind the counter working alone and so hard (others working behind the scenes preparing and serving orders ) but she smiled and was so courteous she deserved a medal. Only downside at 2.30 running out of items such as scones bacon sandwiches etc but maybe they did not expect the number of customers . Well done

One of the best pub Sunday lunches we've had in several years. The meat was succulent - and if you can't choose beef or port you can have half and half. The potatoes were crunchily roasted with soft interior. The Yorkshire puddings seemed a step above most pub versions being neither greasy nor, like so many places, perfect roundels straight from a freezer. There wasn't much green veg but the kale - normally not something I like - was salty and well prepared. Great with the beautifully prepared red cabbage. Big shared portion of cauliflower cheese included too, and - on request - extra gravy and really tangy horseradish. Frankly not much to criticise here and the desserts were brilliant too. We had heard someone say that the change of ownership a week or so back had caused a drop in standards but it's hard to believe that it was ever much better than this. Highly recommended.
