Dee Dees Delights in Isle of Wight

This hotel was the accommodation for a Caledonian Travel trip. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Budget hotel with dirty dated rooms and meals that you would nt serve to your worst enemy. Staff not helpful or apologetic of any of other residents issues- basicallly it’s a budget hotel so shut up and put up!

I was served by a lovely lady saturday evening, soooo helpful, i wanted chips and a veggie burger, and she was honest and told me the chips are cooked in beef fat, i wouldnt have been impressed if i had eaten any after being a vegetarian for 42 years! Soooo much appreciated, i love honesty too, a big believer in it, also they did me some fries cooked using something else. Thankyou all again. Top notch service, after driving around what seemed like forever to try and park near, so all your kindness was very welcome. 😁

The veggie burger is fried in the same fat as animal products - could not eat it. My hubby wanted fish and chips, small portion and not worth the money. Rude, time consuming and inedible.

I’m writing this review even though I can’t report on the food. I was unable to buy fish and chips as it’s “cash only” and I only had my phone with me so was unable to get cash out at the nearby cash point. I’d driven 15 minutes to get there so it was annoying and I ended up driving to Ryde instead.

I just had to give a shoutout to Travis at McDonald’s — hands down the best wrapper I’ve ever seen. The way he wraps burgers is pure artistry. Every item in my order was neat, secure, and looked like it belonged in an ad. No mess, no soggy buns, just perfect presentation. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and that kind of care really stands out. Give this man a raise — Travis, you’re the real MVP!
