The best restaurants in Isle of Wight South East

Poor experience I'm afraid. Before I start, I'm a huge animal lover; I own 2 dogs, cats and several chickens. But dogs in a café, nope. And big scruffy dogs, left free to wander around a cafe, eating scraps off the floor and licking and sniffing at customer's legs. Absolutely nope. When I asked the lady behind the counter if it was the cafés dog (not that it makes any difference really) I got a simple "no it's a customer's" and that was that. No "oh I'll ask them to put it back on it's lead". I guess that would have been a crazy idea?! I think I could get over the dog being in the cafe as I'm probably being a bit harsh on that point but I really don't think it's appropriate, hygienic or considerate to other customers in the slightest to allow this to happen. The coffee was pretty good but to be honest I was a bit out off after Mutley licked my leg.

Right on the beach. Lovely food and drink and vert well priced for it's prime location in Sandown! Well worth a visit indeed!

The food is tip top best sandwiches on island. I have been going for 4 years and never had anything less than 100%

Looking for somewhere to eat and use for our regular eat when we are on the island and in Ryde. This will not be the place unfortunately. It says on menu 1/4 pound chicken burger. It hardly covered the standard size burger bun. Not worth h the £5.90 they charge and that is it if you want chips or anything that’s extra. Most of staff friendly, one member not sure if new but no idea how to process our order. The quest is still on for a nice place to eat in Ryde with our dog.

Initially just popped in for a drink but, after seeing the menu, we decided to cancel our dinner reservation somewhere else. We were not disappointed, everything we are was delicious but the balinese whole fish was a dish we will remember for a long time. Highly recommended.

What a gorgeous unexpected find Right on a small beach we sat outside on a patio area that goes straight into a small beach The ladies that serve you are a really lovely and chatty bunch nothing was too much trouble you order at the counter and they bring it out to you With a quirky little spade table no. lol We went here on a few days running as food was Devine We had toasted sandwiches. With all the trimmings. Plus barbecued chicken wings My goodness they were delicious Even had a soya latte which was a bonus as I’m milk intolerant My husband had a coronation chicken baguette which was delicious 2nd visit we had chicken burger with chips and bacon mushroom linguine which tasted divine Highly recommended we will def be back

What a lovely friendly place both owners and customers. Excellent full english breakfast and other home cooked food. Dog friendly.

Haven’t been here for probably 7 years as we moved into Bristol! I wished we’d stayed so we could come here more often. Excellent food and great value too! Staff were super friendly and a good laugh! A must for locals, passerby’s and cyclists! Will be back soon!

Fabulous meal at Castlehaven. It was a beautiful day and dined overlooking the sea. Sea bass was delicious and perfectly cooked. Staff were knowledgeable and lovely. A must in the sunshine. Thank you.

Afternoon Tea at luccombe Manor was everything we expected and more. Lots of sandwiches and cake, very fresh and filling.

It was a lovely meal. We had chorizo and chicken skewers for starters and salads with three toppings of our choose and grief chicken thigh dish with salad, fries and vegetable. Everything was delicious and yes you had to wait a bit for a food to be served but it's been done from scratch so it takes a time. Worth waiting for. I wanted to mention a lovely staff too, Plum and Luis and Amazing Julia who was helping preparing food and Fabbio ofcourse. All of you went extra mile to make our meal special. Thank you so much. We called for a light lunch & were met by two very pleasant members of staff. We ordered a pot of tea for two & decided to share a ploughman’s lunch & also a cream tea. The ploughman’s was just delicious & plenty for two, with fresh bread, ham, loads of cheese, ham, tomatoes, pickled onions & two chutney’s. We actually wrapped a portion of cheese up & took it with us, it was very tasty. The scones were freshly home made & very light, with butter, jam & fresh double cream. Again they were delicious. At just over £16 it was excellent value for money

We love Grace's bakery, very friendly staff, yummy cakes and bread. During the lockdown Grace's has been a Godsend for takeaway coffees and cakes when most of the other cafes were closed, but please make sure the lovely staff there have enough milk!! Yet again this weekend, 'sorry, run out of milk' and a whole queue left disappointed. Not even Alpro!

What wonderful home made bespoke buffet Natalie and team made for my mums wake. Food was fabulous and all homemade from scratch on site. Service was brilliant. Attention to detail was amazing. I highly recommend the Quirky teapot for any special occasion. You will not be disappointed. Fabulous atmosphere and so lovely having a real fire going Natalie is passionate about what she does best! So very thankful for all your support and efforts to get just everything perfect
