Staff were very friendly & the the pub had a good atmosphere, however the food was very poor. A shame as it seems like a good pub & good location.

Didn't eat but menu looked good and very popular.missed out on sunday roast as i was leaving and looked good value.cracking views too.would recommend.

As great pubs should be, a warm welcome, excellent service and good food at reasonable price, what's not to like

Food and service were fantastic! Nothing I like more than going to a restaurant that is clean, has great staff and a great atmosphere ☺️ It has outside seating on the beach front with great views... Highly recommended ☺️

We always have a good time at Flanagans. The food is always really tasty, good quality and not expensive.

I highly recommend coming here. The meals are amazing and you get your money's worth. The staff are also lovely and polite ☺❤ There's a large array of choices to eat and everything was just as perfect as those from fine dining-like restaurants, where I have previously worked. For vegetarians, vegans and those with intolerances or allergies, this place caters to all As well as all of this, the place is dog friendly, so it's a great place to stop after a walk with your canine friend(s)

Great place for a drink and something to eat while looking out at beautiful sea and cliffs - great location. Very friendly staff. Just a really pleasurable place to spend some time with friends and family. Highly recommended. Beautiful sitting outside on a sunny October day!

Stayed in Sandown for a few days and Flanagans we amazing, ate there for lunch and dinners. Brilliant food and really friendly staff.

We sat out in the sun enjoying a cold beer. Great views over the sea.

Just fantastic in all areas! Ate here two nights in a row on holiday…7 different dishes across the two nights - all amazing. View was beautiful and atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. Book a table and don’t miss out!

Five stars for service...lovely staff...the food was ace rivalling any country pub, the chef has been there over 20 years and my god it shows...gammon, hand cut to perfection, delish seafood and awesome burgers just as you hope it will be.... thanks to the bar staff and table staff wee beyond what was expected thank you!

The nicest staff you are ever likely to meet. The food did the trick nothing blew me away but still good enough for me to go back. Entertainment amazing

As a born Flanagan it made me smile coning across this place on my hols and of course we had to stop for a drink! Really welcoming and friendly staff, nice inside but outdoor terrace was superb! Over looking the sea with beautiful views. We didn't eat but the food coming out looked lovely and I did look at the menu which was good. Would Definitely return.

Had a brilliant evening here! Enjoyed the home made lasagne. Great choices on the menu including vegetarian and vegan options. So many places on the island seem to be offering naff food at ludicrous prices at the minute, so it’s refreshing to know it’s not the case here! Everything was spot on, including the polite and friendly staff. Definitely will keep coming back and recommending.

The pizza was disgusting it looked like a pizza which came out of a freezer. The burger and the fries were really bad aswell as the onionrings. We cant recommed this place if you want to eat pizza or burgers.

Great location but drinks are expensive,

We had lunch/dinner here three times in four days, each time trying something else. Everything was tasty, flavourful and hot. They have several vegetarian and vegan options, all tasty and well presented. The staff are friendly and helpful, the location is perfect, with seats inside and outside, all with the beautiful view of the sea and the Sandown pier.

Very disappointed with this establishment. We ordered lunch for 3 people, 3 portions of butterfly chicken with chips, onion rings, peas and beer.The first portion for my daughter was good but for me and my husband it was unacceptable.When I cut the chicken, it had an unpleasant smell and a fly immediately flew in and bothered me.We started smelling our dishes and the waiters saw it.Since I speak English poorly, I asked my daughter to explain that 2 dishes were not edible and dangerous. We were told that they did not smell any unpleasant smell and the cook was confident in the dish.They prepared the other 2 servings.I didn't dare cut them, I ate the potatoes and onions and finally cut the chicken There was an unpleasant smell of rotten chicken with vinegar.During this hour and a half, I was not compensated for this terrible lunch.I do not recommend this restaurant as you may get poisoned. Also in this cafe there were children who could suffer damage to their health. I don't think that I paid £52.70 for everything, that this is an adequate price for my failed full meal.I would like to return the money and no longer serve it in such dubious establishments where the cooks and waiters do not smell the rotten meat.

The seafood platter was amazing value for money. I'd of paid the meal price for the amount of smoked salmon alone. Well worth a visit. All our meals were great. The staff are so friendly.

The staff were amazing, the food was great, the atmosphere was very welcoming, good pricing and with fantastic beach/sea views whilst you eat. With a great selection of drinks from the bar to. Will absolutely recommend and will be going there myself upon my next visit to the island

Stayed in Sandown for few days Flanagan's great pub dog friendly. Beer and food reasonably priced . Nice sun terrace Would return isle weight beers a must.

Had a lovely meal mid week here. Great views over the seafront and friendly staff.

Perfect place to stop on a return walk from Sandown to Shanklin and back.

Like the new look of place been done up nicely can't comment on food but seen some being delivered to next table and looked nice.

Very comfortable pub with lots of entertainment. Host and team very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Would recommend.

Overlooking Sandown pier on the seafront. Lovely friendly pub that serves a nice selection of food. Beers wines and cocktails available with a warm welcome. We had the chicken goujons chips and salad and a tuna panini with chips and side salad..all was very nice. A nice cold drink with a view of the sea 😍

Went for the first time with my mates. Jasmine is a superstar really lovely woman and absolutely stunning. Made me feel welcome to Isle of Wight and honestly made my experience a 10/10 she’s absolutely amazing and customer service was the best I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. Make sure you guys keep her couldn’t have been a better experience without her will deffo be returning :)

Lovely pub/bar. Nice mix of locals, visitors, and families. Great view over to the cliffs and coast to the south. Food was good, beer was also good. All the staff were friendly.

Great little spot! Food was nice, portions were a little small for what we ordered but overall was good value for money. The atmosphere was good and the staff were very welcoming. Drinks prices as well were a lot cheaper than what we were expecting which was a pleasant surprise. Good view out the windows of the sea as well, would definitely recommend!

Had Sunday roast this evening choice of meat was Beef there was lots of meat but it was beyond tough we couldn't chew it at all, the roast potatoes weren't actually roast they were deep fried , I will say the staff were lovely the restaurant is spotlessly clean the lady who served us had the common decency to offer ten pounds refund which we declined .

Stopped of by chance today with some friends and so glad we did. From the moment we walked in the staff were so friendly and welcoming in what is such a cosy bar. We all had lunch, I had the yorkie pudding burrito which was bloomin amazing, the potatoes with its were also super tasty, totally delicious. My friends both had the pie with home made chunky chips which again they both thought was absolutely delicious. As usual I always have room for desert and went for the toffee pudding and custard, the best thing for me was the amount of custard very generous and again very tasty no thimble amount like some places. So glad we stumbled across this bar while just visiting for lunch. Thank you to all the wonderful stuff and indeed the chef!

Had a lovely drink & nibbles with family. Such a lovely place inside, the staff were so friendly & efficient, the nachos were amazing & the atmosphere was relaxing. Can't wait to go back for another visit x

Delightful staff, deliciius food. We live in France and thé beef was the best we have ever had when eating out.

Cozy pub with good seating options, food was quite delicious. Order the specials in advance if possible. The lamb shank and beef hotpot were the best items on the menu Ordering is at the bar itself and I prefer it this way, you can pay for your food and drinks and then leave after you're done. Plenty of paid street parking available nearby.

Popped in yesterday, didn't intend on having food.but 2 rump steaks chips and peas for 20 pounds seemed a good deal...... and it was,fantastic steaks lovely chips,and peas you could eat.very friendly, clean and a great atmosphere. If the rest of the food is as good as our steaks, what a place.👍

We had the special Christmas , three course, dinner. Excellent, delicious. Also the singer, Olivia, was fantastic 👏

This is one of our local pub's. So far I've not tried the food I've just had drinks. They have a varied amount of local ales and spirits, mermaid spiced rum and ginger ale being my personal favourite. A really friendly place with a great view, especially on the balcony outside of the sea front and Sandown Pier, 'a whole day's fun in one' 😏

Friendly staff, very reasonably priced and a delicious lunch for four adults £52 including drinks. I’m sure they do well and deservedly so.

What a fantastic place, great people, great place, great food. These guys know what hospitality is and apply it to all the diversity in humanity with kindness and understanding. Would recommend more meals but I'm yet to try them :) Keep up the great work and wonderful approach.

Bleughhhh, not felt this sick for a long time, do not order the chicken bbq with bacon weird dish with thick cheese on top, and chips horrible aswell, never again

Another great place to eat in Sandown I had the small fish and chips with garden peas and homemade tartar sauce and it was very tasty my wife had the same apart from she had mushy peas, both were testy and just the right size.

Nice enough, does what it says on the tin…only popped in for a pint, didn’t try the food

Brilliant spot to take in the views of sandown bay. Best pint of Guinness on the island so far. Fantastic food and value. 2 steaks for £20 which tasted outstanding.

Spent a lovely few hours here having a drink and listening to live music. Lovely atmosphere. Even the dog enjoyed it 👍

Came here for lunch, staff were somewhat friendly and helpful. Food was okay, well priced but I can't recommend the onion rings. There was white powder in a line on the baby change which didn't look like baby powder. Tastfully decorated inside with a good bar and wide choice of drinks. Nice views out the window of the sea front and close to the pier and car park.

Just popped in for a drink this evening. Have been many times for live entertainment at weekends and quiz nights monday. Great staff and a friendly atmosphere, food is good value.

What a find this restaurant is. As a lifelong vegetarian I'm resigned that when I eat out the options will be limited so it was so so lovely to have such an extensive choice on the menu and it was delicious. The other members of my family, all meat eaters, were equally impressed with their meals. The staff were lovely too, the barman really knew his job and recommended some local ales which were as promised the best on the island. Added bonus totally dog friendly, will definitely visit again.

Thank you so much for a really lovely tasty Sunday roast and drinks, all at a really good price. The meat gravy and homemade yorkshire pudding were particularly tasty! The staff were all lovely and my children were made to feel welcomed. My youngest was given a really addictive game to play to keep him occupied whilst I was still eating and we all enjoyed having a go. Thanks again 😊

The food was pretty standard for a pub. Not bad. Could do with more variety the menu. Order at the bar. Service was a bit slow but I think it's the way the bar is laid out. Not the staff. Good portions.

Lovely welcoming place with beautiful views! Being a vegetarian I was sceptical of finding something suitable but was pleasantly surprised that they had a whole page of veg options. Service was prompt and food was quite tasty! There is something for everyone here!
