Nice place! Great service. It's worth a trip.

I stopped in here for dinner. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. I had Harry's Original Gumbo and Cajun Seared Tuna. I really, really liked them. Did I mention the bread. Hot out of the oven and marvelous. Nina was my server and she had great timing. I will be back.

I had calamari as an appetizer, blackened redfish ... Both delicious. I couldn't resist bananas foster from the dessert menu and would highly recommend!! So yummy! Great service, too!

Had an incredible experience. Came out during the evening rush and had a short wait, which was to be expected. I had requested a bar seat, which was unavailable. I was seated in a booth, and before too long I was approached by the manager (who called me by my first name) who mentioned a bar seat had just opened up. When I seated at the bar, I made a slightly difficult request of the bartender (Alisa, hopefully I spelled it correctly), and she took it in stride and made me an EXCELLENT drink. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi with Steak Medallions, medium rare. The food came out relatively quickly while I was shooting the breeze with patrons next to me. I could make some long winded review about the food, but to simplify it: Everything was damn perfect. The food tasted incredible, the portions were perfect, and the pricing was comparable to any other restaurant I would order the same thing at. Alisa apologized for the wait (that I didn't feel like I had), made excellent recommendations throughout the evening, and despite having a consistently full bar, made an effort to interact with everyone on a personal level. 10/10 experience. If and when I come to visit Ocala again, I will make a point to visit Harry's.

First time visiting Downtown Ocala and it was surprisingly such a cute area! We went on a Saturday afternoon and parking was pretty limited. Ended up paying for parking in a lot the said it was enforced 24 hrs and didn't realize that the street spots along the main road, where the restaurant is, would've been free (so keep that in mind if you want to save $). We decided to go to Harry's and the food and service was great. Nice architecture and decor. I ended up having the PASTA CHICKEN LOUISIANNE with Crispy Chicken instead (as suggested by our server) and it was reallly yummy. My husband had the Jambalaya, but in my opinion, it was just okay... we've had better. Unfortunately, we were starving and didn't take photos of the actual food. Overall, great visit, would recommend.

Beautiful building, nice atmosphere and wonderful service. Shakayla was awesome. My only issue was the amount of food. The dish was perfectly prepared and cooked. The amount was disappointing. I ordered the Shrimp and scallop Orleans, It was very tasty and enjoyable. It contained four pieces of grit cake, three medium scallops and four medium shrimp. The corn maque choux was very good. Also a plus was the She Crab soup. The price of the entree was a little high for the amount of food in my opinion. I'll definitely go back for the soup but maybe take a stroll around the place and see what others are eating so I know what to expect when ordering.

My fish was not what I expected and was not to my liking but I loved the fried calamari and the side of smashed potatoes.

The drinks were decent. And the bourbon glazed salmon and red beans & rice were flavorful. Didn't care for the French Market Pasta was very bland.

Will never return here! It clearly states that they do not allow dogs in doors. But, on the night of my birthday celebration, I discovered that wasn't the case. Not 20 feet from my party was a couple with their dog laying under the table that sits two. Although we had just had drinks served, I was ready to leave and go down to Mark's to celebrate. My family asked me to "let it go & just enjoy the dinner". I have reached out to Harry's, but to no avail. I just wanted to know how this could happen when it's not supposed to? What if I or my 5 month old granddaughter had an allergy to dogs? Would it take getting sick before anyone or anything would be done to stop establishments from allowing this to continue? Upset birthday party.

Sat at the bar, food was great as expected, came out quick, bartenders were nice as well. Will be back

It's a seafood restaurant, Order seafood. Didn't care for the medallions. it was too tough for tenderloin.

Nice service, clean restrooms. I ordered the pasta - it was ok. The pasta was very cheesy, the food was fresh. But it was too much cheese for me. I didn’t order anything else.

The medallions were probably the best I've ever had. And, if you want dessert, the Oreo Beignets are insanely good!!!

We stopped here on our drive home to Tampa FL. Awesome place, not too far off the highway, great food and service. Perfect for a great meal and a rest stop. The shrimp and grits was delicious

This is a great place. I would have given it 5 stars, but the Cajun Ribeye Steak I had was only ok. The filet medallions and salmon were great though and the service was good.

The food was good. The place had no music playing, the service was lacking attention. A martini glass should not be 3/4 full, our winter told us that's how they measure in there.

Okay venue. Had the crab cakes...for me, too much breading. The fry texture was good though. The black beans and rice was dry, not flavorful. Service was mediocre, not attentive and didn’t come to our table unless flagged down. I put some of that on Sunday dinner rush. The fried green tomatoes appetizer was good, though they need to place more of the seasoning sauce on their dishes...the same was true for the crab cakes needing more sauce. For a Cajun restaurant the food was surprisingly mild seasoned.

ordered chicken jolie blonde for main dish and bananas foster for desert. both were excellent cooked to perfection the service staff was great. if you want a great meal at a non chain restaurant go there you wont be disappointed.

Although I rank this restaurant very high I also have some critique. There is more than plenty crab in the soup however there is an absorbent amount of salt. Salt is a flavor enhancer but not necessary to overpower the entire dish. One of my favorite things on the menu is the hamburger because of the quality of the meat and the flavor has that chargrill taste , yet is overpowered by way too much lettuce and the tomato is not always fresh. With the abundance of lettuce makes it more difficult to eat so you have to remove a portion. When it comes to the drinks if it's alcohol-based they seem to replenish them quite quickly when it is soda or tea they seem to not replenish or at least not without request then even might take some time to get. Also a restaurant who serves soup but yet has no crackers many Americans into our crackers with their soup not bread. Although sounds petty this is an opinion to hopefully be helpful not critical.

Everything we ordered was delicious. The greens were especially good. When in the area, we will dine in.

Our friends took us here for lunch and happy hour. Good food and excellent service (Thanks Shaquita!). Everything we ordered had great flavor and generous portions. We ordered the pasta and chicken tacos. The pomegranite martini was delicious. I'd love to go again the next time we're in Ocala.

I think our waitress name was Maddy not sure but our service was excellent, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was nice.

We were visiting and hoping to try some seafood in Florida. The overall experience was good - short waiting time, the ambience was nice, our waitress was friendly, and the service was good. The food was not bad - I liked the jambalaya, though the chicken was on the dry side. We thought the shrimp scampi was just ok, the sauce seemed a little watery. The shrimp was good though. The crab cakes were great. We enjoyed the bread and butter on the house.

Loved the chicken Cobb salad, grouper fingers, redfish, and shrimp creole. Our drinks were very good and kept coming as we asked.

We had a wonderful early dinner at Harry’s. I have allergies to gluten and dairy, so I had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. No croutons, no cheese, with honey mustard dressing. A glass of Cabernet Sauvignon to go with it. Delicious.

Atmosphere is very warm and inviting, service was amazing, now the food, first got our plates, huge portions! first bit.... absolutely delicious everything is made from scratch, the chef is phenomenal!!!!

We share our meals, Harry's employees divide our meal onto two plates without being asked. I like that! The mahi mahi is my favorite fish with Nola rice. Yum yum!!

Great service! Nice people who are very welcoming, immediately felt welcome in, even when busy. The food was also great, I got the tuna and the sear was very well done. Best part of the night was the Oreo beignes, if you come hear for anything, make sure you add that to your order. Thanks for the great night!

We’ve been driving an hour and a half to come to this location for years. The service and food is always amazing. We walked in tonight at 8:00 pm and weren’t even greeted by the hostess but were told “we close at 9:00”. Meanwhile the restaurant is packed and there’s already people waiting. So we asked how long the wait was and the hostess goes “I don’t know when I will seat you but we close at 9:00”. We ended up leaving because we felt very unwelcome and unaccounted and the dinner we chose was not great, which is unfortunate because we’ve been coming to Harry’s for years and driving an hour and a half to give our business. Highly disappointed.

I wish I could give a review, but it was so crowded that I decided to go somewhere else.

Looked up good restaurants in the area and this place came up. Put a take out order in online for the shrimp/ crab salad, she crab soup, and boudin balls. When I arrived stood waiting at the door several min for the hostess. She finally came to the desk ..no greeting or smile . She directed me to the bar when I told her I had a pick up order. There were several waiters and bartenders just hanging out and finally when they acknowledged me was able to get someone to check on my order. Not one person looked happy to be there and they acted like I was bothering them asking fir my order. I couldn't get out of there fast enough ! Should have checked my bag because they completely forgot the boudin balls. The soup was the best thing of the items I order though the cheap hoagie roll that came with it was odd...for a restaurant charging the prices they are I would think you could serve better bread. There was nothing I would return for .it's surprising this has such high ratings..

Collard greens were outstanding. The redfish was tasty and the Caesar salad was really good. Unfortunately we sat at the bar and we're served by a lady who was clearly hating her job. If you can't at least pretend to be kind then leave the service industry. We won't be going back.

This restaurant was amazing ordered fried green tomatoes they were delicious. Ordered a hurricane made perfectly also ordered shrimp scampi which was delicious..Our server was polite and very attentive I would Highly recommend this place

We recently had lunch at Harry's Seafood, excellent restaurant. We called ahead 1/2hour to get on a wait list (they do not take reservations) and we were seated as soon as we arrived. Waiter was outstanding, service was fast and food was delicious. I had the crab cakes and my husband had the shrimp etoufee. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We came to celebrate my nephew's 18th birthday. If this was our first visit, we probably would not be back. The wait wait was extremely long and the food wasn't that great.

Great service! We were a casual wedding party and they did not rush us at all. The food was good- the non specials were actually better than those picked from the special menu but all was perfectly cook. Apps were cook perfectly too! Again WONDERFUL attentive service!!

Would like to thank the staff for today....smiles from everyone immediately seated our waitress Nina friendly food delicious husband had low country pasta and I had She crab soup and a delicious salad ....after all that we split creme brulee banana pudding .....all that for lunch and no need for dinner tonight. Loving every minute of our motorcycle trip from Indiana.

I was there to pick up an order. I waited patiently while I stared at a to-go order that was sitting at the bar getting cold. Meanwhile the bartender, multiple waiters/waitresses, cooks, etc acted like I was invisible as they did laps around the place. Finally I stopped someone to ask if they could check the order (which I knew was mine) and he literally said "I don't know" and shooed me away like a dog and disappeared into the kitchen. A little courtesy could go along way, instead the man was about as rude as he could get. Next time I have to deliver an order from here, I'll be sure to go behind the bar and get it myself.

Good food except the salmon, it is always WAY undercooked

Great food ,excellent service. Just wish the crab cakes were a bit more toasted. Banana creme brulee had a wonderful flavor and atmosphere my only suggestion is they make the serving ramekin smaller and deeper instead of so wide because it was more "crust" than custard. Excited to return to try the rest of the menu

I was there at lunch. There was only one server at the bar. I waited for a menu and drink while she texted on her phone. The service horrible.

We were very disappointed. Our main courses came out before the app. Then they took them back and brought them out again in about 10 mins later cold. Drinks took forever. Communication was lacking and no apologies were given for anything. Sadly, not as great as our expectations.

We have been to Harry’s in Lakeland and St. Augustine before and this time we tried Ocala. Ocala exceeded our expectations! The service there was even better than the service in the other Harry’s. Our server was excellent! The best restaurant server we have ever had. The front was friendly and welcoming. The food was of course delicious! We can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! We will be back!

Hosting my original review. We were there this evening and the place was hopping!! Food great. Still love the fact that you pick a meal and they don't whine over changing your sides. Food came piping hot even though the place was packed, what I expect from a great restaurant. The one thing I previously noted could be improved was service from the bar which previously was somewhat slow. I said maybe they need to add another bartender. Don't know what they did but everything about our service was first class, food, bar service... They deserve this 5 star rating.

The front of house staff here is terrible - abrupt and unhelpful. The manager was the worst. The hostesses were blatantly rude both on the phone and in person. The manager has no business interacting with customers - he scolded our entire table loudly and obnoxiously for rearranging our chairs (after the hostess told us to put the seating how we wanted it). When we told him that the hostess said we can arrange it, he challenged us and said he needed to make sure we were telling the truth because he was going to go send her home for a whole week for violating policy. It was appalling and shocking. One of the most unprofessionally behaved managers I’ve encountered in a restaurant. Our server was amazing, but couldn’t redeem the negative experiences with the manager and hostess. If you want to be verbally berated and treated like an unwelcome intruder, and also witness a manager throwing his staff under the bus and publicly disciplining them, this might be the place for you. Otherwise, I’d avoid it.

Fuimos a cenar en familia, primero nos dieron una mesa para 4 y éramos 5, después de la espera empezamos la cena pero el servicio muy tardío, pedimos postres para llevar y los cobraron pero nunca nos lo entregaron, es mi tercera ves en el restaurante y creo que la última, espero me reembolsen por lo menos lo de los postres

We took a trip from Alt6 Springs to Harris for Valentine dinner. It was great. Our server was wonderful. We had a great experience. Definitely we'll be back we really enjoyed it

I was really disappointed in Harry’s..we were told 30 minute wait…ok 30 minutes went by then my husband got up to ask how much longer and they told him it would be longer because they have a “call 30 minutes before you get there so you can be put on the waiting list”…so the people who called were being put in front of us so our wait was longer.. so I was annoyed and upset so we left. Their waiting system is ridiculous… especially since I had already called earlier and was told they do not take reservations…. and they didn’t bother telling me about their call 30 minutes before you arrive to be put on the list. Unbelievably stupid

The fried scallops with fries and coleslaw was very good. Nice crispy and hot fries when served. The scallops had a very crisp coating and kept the scallop nice and hot.

The menu items are unique in Ocala, Florida and the quality of the food is outstanding! Service was perfect and the atmosphere is lively.
