Great pub. Lovely staff. Shout out to Gareth and Sasha in particular. Really good quality pub food. Lots of mixed offers on the menu. Highly recommend. Plenty of seating booths and tables very clean and tidy. Screens for sport too 😁

Visited with my partner and couldn’t rate highly enough. Service was fantastic and Samatha looked after us extremely well and very knowledgeable with the food and drinks. Highly recommend

Was over on the island working in the area and the staff made a great atmosphere for us to wind down in, food was spot on aswell 👌

Food was 10/10 staff were very attentive, especially Samantha she was so happy to help us with everything we needed, if we needed anything she was happy to help and all round really nice to talk to, would 100% come again and recommend to my friends and family!

I was served by a lady called Sam who is an amazing ambassador for the pub. She was very cheerful and obviously enjoys her job which is no surprise as she was great.

This is an excellent venue with friendly staff and very good food. The surroundings with comfortable furniture and cheerful atmosphere made our visit an experience we won’t forget. As strangers to the isle of white we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch stop over and rest assured we will certainly visit again

Great service by the wonderful Holly. Popped in for quick snack as the little one was hungry. She was great with the little one. She instantly offered us a highchair, children's menu and crayons. Holly was smiley and pleasant and made sure everything was okay. Was lovely to see a smiley person behind a bar.

A really good atmosphere in a comfortable and welcoming pub. Friendly service, very nice food and by the time we left it had become a ' one to note and definitely revisit'.

Lucky I cannot give minus star rating. Only went in for a drink and sports on tv. Staff very slow and not interested in serving customers, it was not busy, but after 5mins girl asked what I wanted, she went to till, spent another 5 mins tapping till, couldn't find my beer on till. Went to her colleague till he showed her where it was. Back to her till, tap tap again still couldn't find it, decided to pour my beer, dumped it in front of me not saying anything. Back at her till, tap tap again couldn't find it, had to find her colleague again, shown where it was on till. Back to her till tap tap and more tap, so after about 15 minutes not getting a beer or spoken to, left beer on bar and walked out. 15minutes of my life wasted. 🤔🙄😕🙁. Don't go there if intend to have a drink

Lovely atmosphere in the pub over Christmas weekend. Was served the majority of the night by Ellie and Shannon. Came here on a Saturday night for some quiet drinks which turned into a night out. The staff are great. The doorstaff are also well mannered and made us girls feel safe.... I think the door staffs name was Laura. She's great!

Loved the atmosphere of the pub the bartenders working on Tuesday the 7th November were amazing and really accommodating,I think there names were Cam, Shannon and Tom, also the food was exquisite and really good thanks to the chefs in the kitchen aswell. I come every week for quiz night and always get dinner. Food is brilliant and if there's ever any issues, which is rarely, the staff are friendly and are helpful to rectify any problems.

Food is delicious had the katsu chicken and was sublime couldn’t fault it. 10/10 experience would definitely recommend going for the food and a drink.

I been here a few times for the Champions League nights. Good environment, plenty of screens, just could do with a few more staff.

Standard pub food reasonable value went for the quiz while on holiday very good but the Aircon made it very cold I must dress better next year staff super 🙂

Nice big pub with good beers and good food. Prices not too bad. Has sports in the screens and other activities like Karaoke. Has aircon so good for the hot weather.

Recently it has been reported that the Door Staff have upset customers. I would like to point out although this venue is one of the cheapest places to go to on a Friday/Saturday night. Their are always long ques to get in, long waits at the bar to get served and it's always tightly packed with people and garenteed fights. If your looking for a good social night out on a Friday/Saturday night, GO ELSEWHERE IN NEWPORT and pay that little bit extra for your personal safety and enjoyment.

We love this place as we always visit pre Festival, yes a couple of times we have had to wait for food but the service is second to none 😀 and atmosphere is great. Food is spot on 10 out of 10 all you want to line the stomach and again staff are so friendly and landlord mucking in can't fault it. Our only one place to go pre Festival fair play guys spot on keep up the good work 👏

They let too many people in on a Saturday night now it’s way too busy and there’s not enough bar staff your waiting half an hour makes you not even bother going to the bar. Shame it used to be the best place in Newport

Excellent food, and service. Food was well cooked, ordered a well done steak, and it came cooked to perfection. We had four main meals and drinks to celebrate my daughters birthday, and the bill came to just over £40, so excellent value too. Definitely highly recommended.

Popped in this afternoon to meet up with my wife, son and 2 dogs. Welcoming staff and great simply cooked food. And they allow dogs! Highly recommend!

Had the double bbq Mac top beef burger and OMG it was so good 😊 the service from the servers was on par with what I imagine a homely feel pub should have 💯😁
