Really enjoyed our visit here yesterday. My husband and I both had a bagel which was really delicious. I had the chicken and avocado and it was really packed with filling, so tasty. The staff were friendly and welcoming, I would definitely return.

Worst fish and chip shop I’ve ever eaten at and I’m a 19stone man who loves his chippys anyway there food came cold we asked for salt and vinegar they did not apply we asked for sauce in burgers etc obviously they also did not apply so in my opinion stay well away from this sorry excuse of a chip shop….. should be shut down and owners imprisoned if we’re down to me
Amazing views. Straightforward no frills menu serving good honest pub food. We had scampi, kids sausage & chips, southern fried chicken burger, fudge cake, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate sundae. Polite and helpful staff. Food appeared quickly.

Me and the inlaws stayed at signal point last weekend and had a couple of breakfasts in the cafe but the best was Monday 12th May. Cant thank Graham enough, the food was beautiful and the omelette was the perfection. What a lovely soul Graham is, and his wife. So nice to chat too and you can tell he truly enjoys his job. I forget the lady's name who he was working with (May have been Sophie) but she was lovely too and cant fault her in any way. Thankyou so much for everything x
What a gorgeous unexpected find
Right on a small beach we sat outside on a patio area that goes straight into a small beach
The ladies that serve you are a really lovely and chatty bunch nothing was too much trouble you order at the counter and they bring it out to you
With a quirky little spade table no. lol
We went here on a few days running as food was Devine
We had toasted sandwiches. With all the trimmings. Plus barbecued chicken wings
My goodness they were delicious
Even had a soya latte which was a bonus as I’m milk intolerant
My husband had a coronation chicken baguette which was delicious
2nd visit we had chicken burger with chips and bacon mushroom linguine which tasted divine
Highly recommended we will def be back
My partner and I found Gladys May Cakery on Saturday morning while walking around Ryde we both had a sandwich and cake and a drink we would go back again very nice
We go to the cafe several times during the week. Fantastic entertainment and the food is always first class. Tuesday night is fun playing Cornhole. Imported from the United States. Will and Lu work incredible hard to make everyone welcome. Thank you x
Our favourite meal of our holiday. A great little find. We went really early (5pm ish) as we’d skipped lunch and they could only just fit us in but we got lucky! I’d recommend booking in peak season.
Service was good. Food was excellent.
The veggie burger is fried in the same fat as animal products - could not eat it. My hubby wanted fish and chips, small portion and not worth the money. Rude, time consuming and inedible.
First time I'd ever been here, but I'm glad I did. - things might have been completely different!
A group of us were out in Newport last night, and decided we wanted to dance into the night, so we headed towards the pub which is actually next door to where we ended up.(I won't mention any names, but suffice it to say that it sounds like "smug and letters")
Long story short, I was turned away at the door, because I was wearing trousers which were deemed to be "tracksuit bottoms ", so we tried next door (successfully)
Once inside, I ordered a drink for each of us and we found a table.
The music was exactly my "cup of tea", with a lot of 90s rave and trance, so I immediately hit the dance floor and remained there for at least an hour.
The guy doing the music was very accommodating when I asked for certain songs, and even gave me a mention, calling me their "resident raver"!
All in all, a really great night, which, I'm sure wouldn't have been so much fun if we'd ended up a couple of doors up the road.
I'm looking forward to reviewing that place, as you might imagine!
We had 3 breakfasts as part of the Premier Inn meal deal and 2 evening meals.
They are still experiencing some issues obtaining regular supplies of orange juice, so be aware that they may substitute (previously had Mango, which I really enjoyed)
All of the food is buffet style help yourself. The English breakfast items were well cooked, presented, and tasted really good.
Continental pastries were a bit limited, and only a few options of yoghurt.
There was a surprising range of teas along with standard English breakfast tea.
The main menu is similar to the standard Whitbread / Brewers Fayre offering. However, I'd highlight one new item, the "melt in the middle fishcake". I really enjoyed this, although I felt that it might have been better with some vegetables; carrot, peas or sweetcorn, perhaps some broccoli.
They have a decent selection of beers, wines & spirits, and they are reasonable restaurant prices.
One thing to highlight; if you have a Whitbread "Tasty Rewards" card, make sure that you take it along. They will also give you the relevant points.
