Amazing views. Straightforward no frills menu serving good honest pub food. We had scampi, kids sausage & chips, southern fried chicken burger, fudge cake, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate sundae. Polite and helpful staff. Food appeared quickly.

Longbeach has different opening hours that Tripadvisor reports. It is open Sat and Sun 12:00 to 10:30 and weekdays 16:00 to 22:30. Large selection of drinks at reasonable prices. A good pub style menu too. The best bit is the views with an outstanding sunset. Pleasant walks along from Colwell to Totland on a wide walkway. A slight deviation over the land slip. Well worth a visit.

Well I am going back to the glorious summer of 1976, We stayed in Longbeach Apartments in Colwell bay, The Longbeach bar did snacks and drinks and the owners daughter (who used to wait on in the bar) was called Annie. We had a lovely holiday in the apartments and Annie was always very chatty.

A hidden gem! Gary is a cracking host and made me feel extremely welcomed! If you’re looking for somewhere to watch an incredible sunset look no further! The interior of the pub is dated however this isn’t an issue at all! A proper traditional seaside bar!

We had a great meal looking at the amazing views over the Solent. We were outside. Looking at the negative reviews, can only say that we didn't see any bother, and the owner seemed friendly and dealing with everyone well. The young girls waiting on tables were friendly with us, and you can't tell if someone is smiling when they have to wear a face mask! We enjoyed our meal and would happily go again.

Honestly this is a great little spot with a pub garden enjoying the most beautiful sunset views across the bay. it and its cliental are a bit “salt of the earth”/ old school butlins types, but is cheap and very cheerful. i thoroughly enjoyed my glass of prosecco (£4ish?) with complimentary/ ironic straw (lol) whilst gawking at the yaghts pulling up and people being boated to the famous & v posh “Hut” resto down the bay. The staff are really lovely. Went there twice with family (7 & 2 year old) around 5pm witching hour, when timing is everything and both times food served altogether within 10 mins of ordering (they get 5 stars for that alone). Ive had far worse experiences at many more high end places. Good selection of pub food and kiddy faves (cod gojons lovely, as was scampi). Adult portions a reasonable £9ish and kiddies £5ish. My kids loved the ice cream served in plastic charachter pots, v nostalgic for us too. I imagine it gets quite busy in the summer, so probs get there early if you want a table and quick kiddy feed. If you can over look overhearing the odd potty language from certain merry punters, you’ll have a lovely experience here.

I used to use the Longbeach back in the Seventy's when Space Invaders first came out.I went back yesterday and it was just the same as it was then, including a Space Invaders game still there. It has a better view than The Hut' that some people rave about. The food is basic and not too expencive so would recomend it for families on holiday with kids. It is like cafe food served in a pub, if that makes sence? The staff are friendly and helpful and it is children friendly as well. Not a lot of atmosphere, but outstanding views.Prices are very reasonable for the drinks compared to some ther places.Worth a visit if just for the view

After waiting for 15 minutes in a que we got to the bar and ordered a couple of drinks and some food, gave our table number sat outside to watch the sunset, after finishing our first drink no food had come out I went back in and got another drink an mentioned that we were still waiting for the food(chips and baguette) and was told they were really busy. We watched the sunset while having our second drink and had now been their over an hour and still no food so went back in to ask for a refund. They really did not care and was not that busy. Lovely sunset best enjoyed with a bbq or picnic on the beach and save your money to eat some where else.

This place is famous for its views across the Solent, but only in the summer. In the winter the windows are always steamed up giving you near to no visibility outside. We didn’t eat but the menu looks good and average prices for the area. Drinks were more expensive than the Seaview Hotel just around the corner. +£1 per drink on gin & tonic. It was November on a Friday evening and all tables were reserved. We did sit at one of their best tables for our drink ‘Captain Ted’s Table’ and it was wobbly as hell. Felt like it was going to give way at any time. Come on this is an easy fix.

We have been here many times over the years and looked forward to our visit again this year. What a disappointment. We had a cream tea which consisted of a pot of tea, 2 scones, butter, cream and jam. The jam and cream pots were half the size they used to be and the butter was barely there, adequate enough for one scone but certainly not two. The jug of milk supplied did not have enough milk for one cup of tea and we had to ask for extra. I do not drink tea and asked for my tea to be substituted with coffee, big mistake, it was undrinkable. Went we went to pay we were told 'cash only' and I was lucky to find some cash in the bottom of my bag. This should be made clear when you enter and before you order as a lot of people do not carry cash. Our experience was so different to every other visit we wondered if there were 'new owners' but overheard the owner telling other visitors that she had been there 17 years. Sadly will not be returning.

Remember coming to this pub with my family when I was ten so had to come back 40 odd years later. Disappointed the coffin by the door was gone 😂 but it was a real highlight of our trip. Our dogs were welcomed and fussed over and the food at lunch was amazing, so tasty. Really friendly staff and all the facilities were spotless. Fantastic views over the garden too. A lovely trip down memory lane
