unfortunately you had to call the receptionist in to make coffee from the machine & also cake selection was pretty poor we also tried for tasted sandwiches which was unavailable ! there are however 2 coffee shops opposite hotel

We was staying at the hotel and just got back after a long instead of having a hot drink in our room we used the cafe ,waited ages to be served ,tea was weak and warm with loads of milk wasn’t asked if we wanted milk husband had a coffee and it just tasted of milk

The coffee shop in Daish's Hotel is great.. Sandwichs and Cakes.. Tea & Coffee is also very nice. Really nice place to sit and have a cuppa..!! he Staff are great and are there to please you . I would recommend the Coffee Shop to my friends '' I will go back there again as soon as I can.. My Husband thinks it is great ..

The most delicious sandwiches are handmade to order here & are served with crisps or Doritos plus side salad. Lovely coffee (only tried the latte - every day!!) & the jam doughnuts are so light & tasty (bought in fresh each day)

the food was great value for money.the toasted sandwichs and the cream teas were lovely. weĺl worth the money. and didn't have to go out the hotel .

Would have liked my drink in a real cup.instead of a cardboard one in the coffee shop. The service was fine and choice of snacks or sandwiches were good.

A good quick service of sanwiches, cakes, toasted food and varied hot and cold drinks served at reasonable prices. It was well used when we stayed.

Excellent value for cream tea, and very yummy. Coffee shop layout a little strange, but quite comfortable once we had figured it out, sat in our own little alcove with views over the garden.

Daish's coffee shop is great. The choices on offer are brilliant and the prices are so reasonable. The setting is fab with very comfy seating and very helpful staff. Check it out and see this review is not wrong.

We used this a couple of time in our 5 days there it is excellent good menu very clean and lovely cakes. Lovely spot when been out walking in Shanklin all morning

Just the place to pass time with friends old and new. A nice selection of drinks and snacks and reasonable prices. The take away prices were very good and could save you money in comparison to services prices.

Nice coffe and tea served here and very good sandwiches and yummy cakes. The staff were very friendly and most helpful. The cost is also very reasonable.

I only used this once because tea and coffee making facilites were in my room, but they did serve a very nice cream tea.

Very friendly and chatty. Could not assist enough brought our food and drinks outside for us. Good choice of hot and cold beverages and light snacks.

Lovely listed hotel. We had fresh crusty bread sandwiches,crisps and tea at lunch time sat in the excellent gardens, supplied by the hotel coffee shop. There was a wide selection of sandwiches and snacks. The staff were efficient and friendly.

Sit inside the hotel or outside n the gardens. Food and drinks are excellent value, not hotel prices-cheaper than some of the other tea rooms nearby but the food was beautiful and all served with a smile.

We ate here two afternoons during our stay a lovely girl made our sandwiches and it was always good value. Cakes were available as well.

Been out all day and needed a cuppa so stayed in the coffe shop in hotel before going to our room Had tea and toasted tea cakes mmm best cup of tea served by nice girls in a cosy friendly place

Really good to have this very reasonably priced snacks and drinks in a very handy location as you walk into the hotel, good value all round, sandwiches were really good there and tea and coffee so good and not over priced

Having been regulars at Daish's hotels across the UK we know what good quàlity they offer and such good value, so when n Shanklin this coffee shop is a must

Like everything else connected with this hotel good value for money. The cakes looked delicious and were very cheap!

what a lovelly hotel, the food is well prepared the staff really do there jobs well its clean and tidy, its got a good bar the only thing that didnt appeal to us was the john smiths bitter it was far too cold ,cant blame the barstaff they do there job just right ,

Here on a coach trip with Danish for the first time, tried walking around Shanklin hoping to find a nice afternoon cream tea, needn't have bothered, it was on the front doorstep of the hotel we were staying in, yes indeed, if you are looking for one of the best cream teas, go yo Daishs very own tearoom, not the biggest but certainly one of the best, friendly service, especially from young Josh, my wife described as a ray of sunshine.

This is only a small area within the hotel &opposite; reception but warm and cosy the Kitchen area is small and limited , I expect too being a listed building so toasted sandwiches are a norm BUT they serve a tasty hot chocolate drink topped...

Only suitable for lunchtime Snacks,but being half board this is ideal, quite a good selection average prised.

this is small coffie shopdose light snacks and drinks ie coffiee etc not drinks like cola you may haveto wait 4 to 5mins but they are good for price give it try also open every day

Excellent value , choice of plain or fruit scones, plenty of clotted cream and jam and teapot for two plus hot water, as the weather was fine, sat in the garden.

Lovely meal for lunch, very busy at the time and the young lady coped very well, although our meal did get mixed up with another couple, but non the less very enjoyable

Coffees, snacks, cream teas available at reasonable prices. Would recommend especially if you have people of limited mobility.

Beautiful cake cooked by the hotels chef, I don't normally like this type of cake but, this was superb! Had to have a piece with my coffee every afternoon

First time trip for most of our members, they all enjoyed their stay at Daish's and are looking forward to coming again. Nothing but praise from our members

You can have a lovely cream tea and a good cup of coffee. I didn't try the sandwiches but they looked good.

We visited the above yesterday and found the coffee shop was spot on .The young lady we found to be friendly and helpful.your tea and coffee was at a reasonable price.We go to a few Daish hotels and found the sandwiches are presented to a high standard.,Please keep it up,

Saw a sign cream tea just what we were looking for, We had tried the Thatchers but there prices were unrealistic,At Daish!s we were greeted by a very friendly chap who showed us to one of there lounges or the garden if we prefered. We maid ourselves very comfortable in the lounge and had the best cream tea in the world, More than enough for two and the biggest pot of tea ,At a realistic price.The guests that we had spoken to were more than happy with this hotel. And so were we thanks Daish!s great visit.

I had lunch (corned beef toastie) at the coffee shop. It came with salad and crisps. The price was very good value.

Our visit here was a non starter! After 10 minutes of aimlessly wandering around the building, in one door, then another.... then round the other side... looking for a member of staff to order drinks & a snack from, we gave up and went elsewhere :(My daughter has disabilities and this certainly was not a very wheelchair friendly place to navigate around. Place was like a ghost town... not a member of staff in sight!

A lovely selection of snacks, including nice cream teas. Not used much by non guests as there is so much choice of cafes close by.

nothing to dislike.liked everything,im not a big cake eater but i tried the swiss roll which i enjoyed. my husband kept sending me for the doughnuts.anyone who does not like this hotel must be crazy.i shall keep coming to these hotels and recommend them.

Absolutely ideal for the not so nimble.Weather permitting you can't beat sitting outside overlooking the garden,relaxing with a drink and snack

Plenty of choice of snacks and this is all you need following your big breakfasts. Available each lunch time, staff very obliging.

Nothing to dislike at all. Anyone visiting would be very satisfied. The hotel is very home like, plus it still has the atmosphere of splendour.

The service and ambiance of the hotel coffee shop is outstanding.What better than sitting on the hotel lawn enjoying a cream tea and watching the world go by. It's so nice to stroll and not be part of the rat race!!

Its a friendly littlr coffee shop,home made scones and cakes,nice clean toilets,looks like a nice summer garden with outside tables and chairs.

The coffee shop in the hotel sells hot drinks and small snacks.The prices for cakes and tea and coffee are unbeatable and the staff, as in the rest of the hotel, are brilliant.

Good fresh snacks well served with food available all day, including packed lunches for the journey home.

A small slice of cake and a mug of tea for £1.50 - can't complain. The loos are part of the hotel and are quite nice. A small garden to the side of the hotel has nice seating.

Very affordable hot drinks and cakes and snacks. Open to hotel guests and general public. Small but cosy.

Had tea & cakes and the sandwiches were lovely the rooms and chairs were comfortable.very nice sandwiches for the day coming back home.

Had a snack lunch here and it was very good quality and value. Spacious and sunny garden area close to historic village centre. Pleasant staff and good service.

We always make a couple of trips to Daishs for a coffee, it is lovely coffee and very comfortable to sit and enjoy.Every year we go in there for coffee.

We stopped here before we found the Old Thatch Tea Rooms just round the corner. The Panini was nice and in fairness so was the cream tea but it wasn't that good when compared to the Old Thatch found just round the corner. Service was excellent however and the kids enjoyed playing the the park area. Little stingy on the jam and cream however so you have to ask for more. Not bad but would recommend you pay a little more and visit the Old Thatch Tea Rooms instead.

Tasty snacks and cakes and coffoee served by a charming young lady called Connie eat inside or take it out to the lovely garden area where there is a play area for the children.

Had a lovely toasted sandwich and they do home baked scones and rock cakes for cream teas, a good selection of snacks

the prices are excellent, but tea is served in builders type mugs. basic food on offer, but not the standard you woiuld expect from a hotel..more 'joes cafe'

A very pleasant little coffee shop. Sells snacks at lunch time and endless tea / coffee / hot chocolate over lunch time into the mid afternoon. Reasonably priced, good service.

We visited this Restaurant after our disaster at Pig & Whistle and what a find ,very good food /music and great value for money

The coffee shop is a shining star of this place, good wholesome and very reasonable priced food. And the setting outside is perfect if its good weather.

Lovely afternoon tea n scones at this beautiful venue.I remember it from my childhood and its still got its original character and charm in the lovely old village.

the food in this restaurant is well cooked and served quickly and effiently .the staff are friendly and always attentive.

I have always thought that daish,s looked lovely when walking passed it so decided to stop by for lunch. The lady was very unhelpful, they didnt seem to be child friendly and when the waiter came out with the lunch he shouted out the wrong order so we didnt know it was ours.In fact it was ours he got the drinks messed up and to his annoyance said' oh i give up'.My 8 year old was given a scone with fruit in it,(she dosn't like fruit) so i politely asked if she could have a plain one, the reply i got was ' shell have to get on with it, she will be ok' and walked off. Portions were stingy and we really wished we never bothered. We used the facilities and found that the hotel was very dated and could have used a lick of paint and a bit more modernisation. Very attractive from the eye outside but service and decor a NO NO.
