Amazing Experience! Now called 'The Festival Bar Diner', this offers so much more than before. Great menu, all home made dishes. Superb table service and the chef also came out to ask the diners if they were happy. A much needed and different food Experience that is needed in ryde. Give it a go!

We popped in to Bagel Wrap on Wednesday for a quick bite before returning to the main land. As soon as I walked in I loved the decor with the walls covered in Isle-of-Wight festival posters. We sat in a booth and were promptly served. The menu was really reasonable and there was a great selection. The food was freshly prepared and great quality and we all really enjoyed our individual choices. I had a smoke salmon bagel with cream cheese & salad and it was superb. They also served a really decent decaf coffee (Lavazza) which was an extra bonus. All the way through there were great classic tunes playing (and not too loud so you couldn't talk) from the rock and roll era. So pleased to have stumbled across this place and when I'm back in Ryde I will most definately be going again. Just fantastic !!

We visited for lunch, one of us had an omelette and one had a chicken and avocado salad. Everything was made fresh to order. The omelette was piping hot and the salad one of the best had in a long time. The staff were very helpful and friendly and couldn’t ask for more. The courtyard outside was a nice little sun trap and perfect for a lunch time bite to eat.

Looked promising, but ended up falling short. I had a panini---pesto, sun-dried tomatoes and mozarella---which was a mistake. It took quite a long time to come, even though it only takes 2mins to make and it wasn't a busy time, and wasn't very well done. The pesto wasn't even, so one part was really strong and the other a bit bland. Service was pretty mediocre too---although that is typical of Isle of Wight, we found out across our holiday. We saw people on a table near us have a bagel. It looked really good. I was very jealous! If you go here, don't go for the panini---go for a bagel! Unfortunately, I recommend going elsewhere. There are a few cafés on this road; other ones looked better.

I have come here regularly for years, I've always been welcomed and spoken to in the friendliest manner by every single member of staff. Its really clean and the food has always been 5*, it's not the cheapest place but I'd rather pay a little more for something quality that tastes amazing. Also I love the atmosphere, the decor is so unique with every wall devoted to previous festivals and bestivals! Actually something that's really important to me is the fact I can go in there alone on my lunch break and feel 100% comfortable! I have anxiety so I can never usually go out to eat sitting on my own, but here all the staff are so lovely! The food is always well presented too, even if you get something as simple as a takeaway quiche and salad. All in all a really nice place to lunch, highly recommend.

Entering the establishment, the familiar face of the manager greeted us with a smile and seated us with a choice of tables and offered us each a menu. Very good service, as it always has been during our 10 years of visiting.Unfortunately, that is where the hospitality ended. The young lady on the till, barely spoke, and when I asked about fillings choices, she quipped a sarcastic and patronising reply. I thanked her, paid and sat at the table. Minutes later she bought our drinks over, didn't say a word and just left our drinks on the table. Our food was bought over be another lady who asked whose food was whose and was acceptable in her approach. The food was good, as always. And service was fast.Unfortunately, upon leaving, the lady on the till from before didn't acknowledge us at all and only said bye when forced to be a friend saying thank you, bye as we left. This unfortunate young lady is enough of a reason for us not to return again. A shame, but feeling unappreciated as a customer who regularly spends money in local business such as this, had lost you a customer. The hospitality is in the job title... Something which seems to be lacking in the young, spoilt generation of today.

We visited yesterday lunch time. The coffee shop looked promising, decorated nicely and not too busy. However we were served what can only be described as the worst food ever and mostly inedible. We had a breakfast plate requesting the beans separately as I don't like them, however there was bean juice all over the egg which also included shell. The beans were over cooked, dry and tomato ketchup had been added in to thicken them. The bacon was so hard and well over cooked, so much so that it just disintegrated to dust. We also had an egg and cheese bagel. This had been nuked to within an inch of its life and was so hard I could use it for knocking nails in. The girls in there obviously had an inability to cook, even in a microwave, and were more interested in discussing their love lives.(of which we heard it all) we couldn't wait to leave and would strongly recommend against visiting this restaurant.

My friend and I decided we would like something light before travelling back home on Sunday. We came into the shop and there was a young girl behind the counter and I asked if it was okay to sit down, she looked slightly frightened that I had approached her. If it wasn't for the slightly older girl carrying her I don't think she knows how to behave behind the counter serving customers. A gentleman came in whilst my friend and I were eating and they carried on talking at the back of the shop about shoes and let him stand there, I almost got up and served him myself! I just cannot stand poor service so had to write this review I'm afraid. On the plus side, they did say 'goodbye' which I was surprised at as there was very little customer service throughout the entire experience.

What a nice chap the owner is and he's just made it even more appealing with booths and a late licence on its way. But what keeps me going back are his cheese toasties and great bagels. If you want a coffee and sandwich in Union st then this is as good as anywhere.

Egg-related puns aside, my first visit to Bagel Wrap coffee house, located right in the heart of delightful Ryde (one of the 7 wonders of the Isle of Wight) was overwhelmingly positive. My meal (smoked salmon sandwich on granary) was excellent and the prices reasonable. The only quibble I would have is that there is the option to have salad with your sandwich (i.e. inside it) rather than as a garnish which would be preferable. Salad connoisseurs may also note that the salad contains iceberg lettuce - the demon of all lettuces but this minor issue did not tarnish what was a great meal with eggs-emplary service on Easter Sunday!

Pleasant service, quickly served. No wow factor but generally a nice little cafe to have a drink and something to eat.

We frequent this establishment regularly. The bagels are lovely and so is the coffee. This coupled with the nice ambience and happy staff are the reasons we like it. Well worth a visit!

Popped into here for our first visit as were on holiday and came to ryde for the day. Wanted something light. Had a wrap which was really nice and filling. Staff could have been a bit more smiley and didnt even get asked if our meal was ok which I found strange as most places will always ask "is everything ok with your meal?" All in all nice dinner

I love this place! Lots of interesting memorabilia. Amazing homemade cakes and delicious (and proper) coffee. Donna served me and she was brilliant, very attentive and service with a smile! I highly recommend Bagel Wrap!

Popped in for a coffee, huge Latte that actually tasted of very decent coffee. Very friendly service. Lovely little courtyard garden at the back......and free Wifi. Seems to be very popular with locals calling in for snacks etc

Didn’t expect something to quirky and nice. Very nice food and fabulous cocktails all at a decent price. We will definitely be back

We went early in the evening , and we all enjoyed our steaks on the stone . I had the fillet, and the others had sirloin and ribeye. All were very good .I had a coffee that was really good and tasty . Top coffee lol. Total bill around £230 but well worth the money .

We visited for a late lunch. The chicken burger I had was lovely, a great piece of chicken and more fries than I could manage. My partner enjoyed his hot dog too. The only disappointment was the online menu didn’t match the one in the establishment - I was looking forward to a raspberry milkshake which was no longer actually on the menu and the prices were more than we were expecting, although still fairly reasonable.
