Festival Diner in Isle of Wight

Really lovely all-day breakfast and coffee. The only let down was having to go outside to use the toilet and the older female member of staff who made me feel a little "lacking" when I stuttered during my order, by her response which seemed quite impatient. Dog tolerant, but I wouldn't say dog "friendly".

We stopped here for a spot of lunch, my wife can't eat dairy so was very pleased to find things on the menu for her, I had a burger which was delicious, the staff are very friendly and VERY knowledgeable about the isle of white festival, the restaurant is decorated in all things festival and it was great to learn about it while we were there. I'd recommend this as a stop for anyone looking for breakfast or a spot of lunch, you won't be disappointed.

The Festival Diner Has a Great Atmosphere and Friendly Staff Love the Theme of the Isle of Wight festival throughout. The only advice I would give is the quality of food could be a lot better and with lots of great farms and bakeries on the island using shop-bought Sainsbury bread and produce, Long Life milkshakes from a bottle rather than handmade let it down. I would Happy come again Just for the Atmosphere and the Friendliness of the staff.

We visited for a late lunch. The chicken burger I had was lovely, a great piece of chicken and more fries than I could manage. My partner enjoyed his hot dog too. The only disappointment was the online menu didn’t match the one in the establishment - I was looking forward to a raspberry milkshake which was no longer actually on the menu and the prices were more than we were expecting, although still fairly reasonable.

We had breakfast on day one of our holiday in Ryde - it was great. And so we had lunch on day two - equally great. The place has a lovely feel, friendly staff and delicious food.

Great find on the morning of arriving for the isle of white festival. After a ridiculous early start we were starving when we landed so headed to the nearest town of Ryde to see if we could get a bite to eat. Right on the high street with an hr free parking outside. Had a lovely welcome, friendly atmosphere of locals all chatting, breakfast was lovely, which was perfect size to fill a gap. Nice welcome and some great memorabilia from the festival over the years. Interesting place.

i had milkshakes and breakfast from here a while ago and it was perfect. i loved the food, the atmosphere was great as the place has a unique look, and all the servers were really kind.

Don't usually leave bad reviews but felt obliged with this place. It took 30 mins to cook a fish finger sandwich and fries. Partner had finished his burger by the time my meal arrived (he also said his tasted terrible). I had ONE fish finger in a brioche bun with over cooked deep fried fries (not sure how you mess that up) and paid NINE POUNDS for it. Daylight robbery and terrible food. Save your money and get a supermarket meal deal instead. Festival diner bar - do better and stop ripping your customers off.

Two Adults and dog, good atmosphere with old school music and lots memorabilia very enjoyable

Love this place. Formerly "Bagel Wrap" A brilliant cave of memorabilia to the Isle of Wight Festival. Both the old festival from '68-'70 (Lots on my hero Dylan's set in '69 as per the photos and vid), and the modern incarnation from 2002 onwards... Terrific bagels and easily the best Cappuccino in town. Oh and the staff/service is flawless. Go there. I have many times and will be again. Cheers, Ollie

We found the cafe by accident after the one we had planned was too busy. It is a funky place with lots of memorabilia about the Isle of Wight Festival. It has a nice menu although the portions are quiet small (basket size). I'm always pleased when I see all day veggie breakfast, and even more so when they put things that aren't standard on it such as avocado. Good choice of veggie sausage too. My family had the burgers and fries in a basket and my son had a triple sandwich which looked lovely. The cafe has a nice vibe to it and the music wasn't so loud that it spoilt conversation would definately return.

Female staff was very moody wasn't very welcoming breakfast wrap was worst than mcdonalds yet about £2 more left half of it

Both hosting staff have bad attitudes especially the older one, it's a shame because the food is lovely. Just the experience you receive in ordering and getting said food which is appalling. Won't be returning as this is a common occurrence, nearly every time I've come in it's like this. Won't be returning now, enough is enough.

Clean,tidy with great food and drinks but most of all the professional, friendly service and atmosphere.

Great food staff very friendly an willing to help with any dietary needs. Recommended the breakfast. An the omelette my son had was amazing. Pop in guys well worth it 👌

Very busy half term lunch, but exceptional service and top-notch food! Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Went to this place with my family and they completely forgot two cream teas from our order and by the time we realised they weren't coming my family were ready to go. The waitress seemed like she had a bit of an attitude too and no attempt to put the situation right. The place wasn't busy so really no excuses. It's a shame because the items we did get were good and the place is full of lots of IoW festy memorabilia.

Everytime we visit the island we come to this place to eat, we have been about 5 times now as the food is so so good!! The Decor is nostalgically amazing too, which is why we love it so much...... but I have to say that everytime, we have been served by a seriously unfriendly female member of staff that let's it down. Its a shame that she greets us with such attitude every time, when it really doesn't take much to smile and make ppl feel welcome! But on the whole this place is great and we would recommend it to everyone!🙂

Just coming back from the Isle of wight scooter rally. We had visited Nigel and his wonderful staff twice in one day because the food and atmosphere was so good. Stopped in today for a quick takeaway bite and was not disappointed. Had a brief chat with the two staff behind the counter. Friendly, courteous, upselling without being pushy. Perfect saleswomen. Had two pastrami and pickle bagels. Eat them both before I got down union Street. They were that good. Will definitely be returning.

My wife and I tried this place for the first time for breakfast. We go out for a cooked breakfast once or twice a month on a Sunday morning and do like to try different places and thought we would give the Festival Diner a go as was open and looked fairly busy in there which we usually take as a good sign. Ordered 2 full English breakfasts , had a choice of fried or scrambled egg. Both went for Fried. The food was warm at best when it came. Bacon was surprisingly tasteless. Sausages were not great, not a decent butchers sausage that's for sure. Both my eggs had overcooked yolks and again surprisingly tasteless (my wife's eggs looked much better than mine) I asked the waitress for mustard and she came back with some tub of American brand hot dog mustard, not proper English! ( Maybe that's just me being a little fussy as I like my mustard to have a decent kick!) £9.95 a breakfast is a decent price, if the food is decent. Afraid to say we won't be back for a breakfast again and sadly made me think about coming back to try their burgers which looked decently priced too. Staff really nice and friendly, decent cuppa and restaurant is nice and clean with a nice Isle of Wight Music festival theme. Just wished the food was better which is the main reason people visit.

Staff lovely, the gentleman there I think was the owner was so lovely! Really engaging and have my little niece a piece of fruit on the house. The food was yummy and well worth the money xxx

Looking for lunch after a long walk and stopped at the Festival Diner, our first visit. Service was good and there was a nice atmosphere. The food was decent - in terms of the breakfast sandwich it could be improved by offering additional fillings such as onions or mushrooms as similar to other local restaurants.

Wet and windy Monday with 12 of us needing breakfast before heading for the ferry. Some of us want fry ups, some hope for healthy options, we've got 2 small kids and a dog. Hmmmm....challenging situation that could easily turn tense. This place dropped like a blessing from heaven right down in front of us. Fry up sorted. Healthy avocado seeded wholemeal bagel sorted. Dog welcome. And - amazing - porridge with banana for the kids. Smoothies, coffees, alt.milk options and everybody was happy. Great welcome, excellent service, clean and tidy and ... don't miss the history dotted all around the walls. Don't pay at your table, jump up and pay at the desk so you can see the original 1970 posters and newspaper reports about isle of wight festival. Hendrix, Dylan, naked news cameramen and spaced-out NME staff reporters. Atmosphere by the ton here. Met Annie Liebovitz in the toilet, too (I swear).

What a great place to stop for something to eat. On our walk around Ryde we called into this diner to have a quick lunch. Everyone was so friendly and we managed to sit in the window table. Our bagels were excellent and I had a can of Camden Pale to wash mine down. Highly recommend when in Ryde.

The menu looked appealing but the reality when delivered was very disappointing. The sausage sandwich was literally two pieces of bread with a cut sausage. Nothing else and cost over £5. The other ordered items weren’t much better. Mozzarella panini was served with cheddar not mozzarella. Triple sandwich was the best of the bad bunch. Service was reluctant. Really disappointing so won’t return.

We came here for lunch when passing by. Menu was decent and there was quite a large selection of burgers, all day breakfasts and sandwiches. Service was good and there was a nice atmosphere. The food was decent - can’t go wrong with an all day breakfast! Our only criticism is that the booth we were in didn’t have any foot support meaning our legs were hanging in the air!

Stopped into this restaurant before catching the ferry back to the mainland. Very tasty vegetarian full English breakfast along with well-made iced coffee. Food was high quality and well within a reasonable price. I would also suggest going if you are interested in anything rock and roll since they have tons of stuff from the Isle of wight festival on the walls.

This place was great! Dog friendly, gluten free options and the people were so nice! HUGE shout out to the incredibly kind and caring waitress (so sorry I didn't get your name) who showed me a lot of kindness. My dog passed away the day before we went and I had a moment and she comforted me, thank you!!!! 💖

Love the posters and the festival history

Had a panini and toasted wrap, which is something I've not seen before. Would recommend. Great food and service, nice atmosphere. Nice decor too, there's so much to look at that it's hard to stop looking around the place. 10/10 would come back again.

Had a really nice quality breakfast, meaty sausages, good eggs and nice bacon - beans in a separate pot (bonus point as far as I am concerned) attentive staff and friendly vibe. Recommended
