The Medina Railway Tavern in Isle of Wight

Lovely hidden gem under new management. We were mesmerised by the railway memorabilia and enjoyed a lovely Sea Fury real ale. Dart board and pool table. Great chat with the landlady. Wish them all the best :) Deserving of more custom - use it or lose it Newport!

My favourite drinking hole in Newport

A traditional pub family friendly run by Duncan & Kate. Serving a good range of beers, ciders and spirits. The day we visited they had a live band who were brilliant. This pub has a lovely outside garden next to the River Medina. They also provide home cooked food, their pizzas are fabulous.

Good ale, but limited on the day. Happens to us all. Friendly staff, good atmosphere. Old fashioned local pub. We need to keep these establishments.
