This is a regular for myself & a friend on our dog walks good coffee, food & doggie sausage. Can sit inside if wet but out side is beautiful right at the base of the downs. Can’t wait for it to open this year. Not long now

We have enjoyed our stay in the castle and in Amberley very much! The room was lovely and the breakfast really delicious! Thank you Yaroslav for the amazing service and making us feel so welcome during our breakfast! Greetings from Poland and Singapore!

Simply perfect. You will not be disappointed by the quality of the food at The Boathouse. Our favourite restaurant for miles around and inexpensive, given their talents. Sometimes you visit restaurants and they just get it. They are rare, but this is one of them.

Amazing place to visit, hidden away a tad off the main through path/road, but defo worth scouting out. Lovely atmosphere, and friendly staff, with delicious food, and lovely presentation! Partner and I loved it, and would definitely recommend and hope to visit again ourselves!

Driven passed this pub at least 30 times on way to Gatwick over the years but never stopped. Visited on Thursday 26th September at 1:30pm. Reasonable sized car park with lots of spaces. Pub has oak beams which gives it a real traditional vibe. Didn’t book a table but was able to be seated straight away. Good choice on the menu. We had ciabatta baguettes (one halumi one sausage/onion) washed down with a Prosecco and a beer. Service good and baguettes only £9 each. View out the back of the pub over the South Downs is stunning! Worth knowing that last food orders are 2pm for lunch. Would definitely return.

I been enjoying the food at 13 Church St for a long time and felt a review was long overdue. The food is consistently good , the service is excellent and I would go as far as to say it is the best Thai food I have ever had. There is always a warm welcoming when you arrive .

It is tough sometimes when you are not a seafood lover but your dining part is. Most places have an acceptable provision or two, but alas, Legal fails miserably! While my husband did enjoy his lobster, our chicken sandwich had the taste and texture of a dirty burned potholder and the salad was dry and tasteless. It is sad they cannot serve the non fish eater as well as the fish eater. In addition, the lack condiments. You can get a burger but they have no mustard. Kids can get chicken fingers, but they have no sauce. They need to do a bit better!

What an incredible meal we had at Chalk! The service was excellent being both discrete and light hearted (the waiting staff looked after us exceptionally well) and both of the Chefs came out to introduce courses to us. It made the best of fine dining and the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. And, of course, the food was excellent. We had the Estate Dinner menu, which is 5 courses of locally produced and sourced ingredients. It is delicious! Beautifully cooked food which tastes great. The Cauliflower Risotto was a triumph and the Venison main course was brilliant. And we had some of the fantastic Wiston sparkling wine with it. A great night out!

I had home made quiche which was very nice and a can of diet coke (no glass). Came to £15.30. Not unfriendly as such but not warm and welcoming either. There are only big tables as you go in and I thought I was going to need to share a table. Wasnt sure whether to find a seat and order or if order at the counter. Anyway i ordered at the counter and then saw little seating area out the back so went there. They did ask if i was ok with dressing on my salad which was good too. Tho even better would be to serve in a little pot so people can decide how much they’d like. Noone took my plate for ages so got up to go and order a piece of cake ( all looked lovely!) but as I got to the till the lady started totting it up on the till so I didn’t bother. Yes i could have said but it just felt off so i went off the idea of having a piece of cake there! I go to alot of tea rooms on my travels with work and this was - sad to say - the least friendly. But food was very nice.

Delightful quaint restaurant with very unusual and imaginative menu. Everything is cooked fresh from scratch so service can be slow but very friendly. The choice of drinks is also very varied with many local brews
