The best restaurants in Chantry Horsham South East

Loved everything about this pub! Food, ambience, staff, decor, location, just fab!!! Popped in to see if we could book for lunch and we could! Amazing menu. We had pub classics but there were many more adventurous options to try. The staff were all lovely and very friendly and service was very good.

The three course meal we had with matching wines delivered good quality cooking and the service was friendly and efficient.

Regrettably a poor Sunday Lunch let down by poor quality roast beef allegedly roasted and carved in the kitchen. A good quantity of meat but clearly mechanically sliced and possibly reheated. The lack of colour changes in the slices gave the game away. Quick service but quantity does not beat quality. Excellent staff who were very friendly and attentive. If you are going to offer a roast lunch it should be meat actually roasted that day and hand carved. Sorry Crown Inn you should do better and then you would really be a gem.

Visited 23 March 2025,the best pub Sunday roast we have had ,we have had a lot over the years,homemade touch,stands out. Cooked to perfection , compliments to the chefs,I can tell when passion is mixed with food , friendly lovely staff . Dogs are welcome a plus . Fully recommend. Kelvin Luscombe

Arrived here today after checking out the website, but it seems due to illness the place is closed until further notice. Website now incorrect as it hasn't been updated, but you can check the Facebook link on it and see what's been going on there instead. While we were there a chap poked his head out of the window and said they might reopen if they can get some tenants, so I think it's fairly safe to say it's going to be shut for a while. I had to give a star rating before Google would allow me to post the comments. Obviously I couldn't rate it, although having a rusty and therefore basically invisible chain across the car park entrance nearly cost us a vehicle repair so one star for not putting up a proper sign :o)

I have been visiting here for a good 25 years, but now back in the area we’ve being going a little more often. Brilliant staff, stunning food and reasonably priced. Great to be back and so good to see if anything the food has got even better!

I had dinner here with family here one evening. The staff were friendly & the service quick. The food was freshly cooked & delicious. The portion sizes are generous. The rice is easily enough for 2 people to share. It's not the cheapest, but well worth the price. I'd thoroughly recommend a visit.

Lovely outdoor seating area, really unusual home prepared lunch options. Good coffee too. Very friendly staff and the location was beautiful

We love truffles, our go to sandwich shop for baps, rolls and treats, they make a mean chicken mayo bap and the cakes are delish!! We had all sorts from there today for lunch and it was all perfect. Thanks ladies!!!

It was a shame that the cafe is now not serving the food it used to. There are no packaged sandwiches and sausage rolls etc none of which seemed appealing. I chose to come to the cafe today to mark the anniversary of my. Mums death and enjoy lunch. I ended up going elsewhere for food. The staff were very friendly and coffee was good but I do hope the cafe returns to preparing some of its own food. Even the cake selection was very limited.

This cafe had a fairly limited menu but was just right for the surroundings, we had really good shortbread with our morning coffee and delicious quiche for lunch, very satisfied, superior to similar facilities in other venues.

It was closed and shop emptied of everything The shop was deserted and everything cleared out. It looked as though it wasn't: trading any more

Two take away Duck and Plum sauce meals contained no plum sauce therefore meat was dry and tasteless. Payment was by cash only which required a 500 yard walk to the nearest cash machine and back in order to pay for two tasteless meals.

Very rude owner, how this place is still open is beyond me. On ordering the food I specifically asked for something not to go on the plate as I cannot eat it, for it all to be served up. No apology when I said about it she just took it away. I said to my partner she will just whip it all off the top and that’s exactly how she did it! Even left some next to the pot on the plate that she didn’t see! So be warned if you allergies to anything as it would probably still be served up. Never ever will we return, so save yourself the drama and go to another cafe when they appreciate the custom and know how to serve up food properly.
