What a lovely pub. A very warm welcome, great food and wine. The building itself is fabulous and the garden is perfect for a sunny day or evening. Will definitely return.

Absolutely amazing pub/ restaurant we had such a lovely evening after getting engaged the staff couldn’t of been more helpful, the owners even gave us a lift back to where we was staying as we struggled to get a cab. Impeccable service throughout and lovely atmosphere deffo be returning!

Remarkably good. Service was good, burgers were next level considering it is a pub in the middle of nowhere. Two staff out front, over 40 people and the control never faultered. Quick, clean, professional. I only hope they are on a living wage.

We had booked for the main restaurant , having been before , it is a nice location rather than the main pub area - which is ok but as a dog friendly pub can be ‘heavy on the doggie’ On arrival we where advised we couldn’t sit in the main restaurant due to a wake. The staff are very friendly and the menu choice seemed to have changed as no roasts which have always been a great choice . We did have a very long wait - over 45 mins but the food was very nice . The fact they offer smaller meals is superb As long as you remeber it is a dog friendly place , we would recommend the Crown , resident dog was particular woofy today .

Everything about The Crown Inn is lovely. It is a very comfortable place to be, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent. We will return when we are in the area again.

Went there recently for a family member's wake, we made to feel very un welcome, were told we could not park in the pub's car park as it had to be kept for his customer's even though we were buying drinks!!!! Barman even had the cheek to moan to family member's that had just lost a close family member who had lived in cootham all his life (83 year's) about the wake being held in his pub!The reason for choice of venue is because the family have held numerous family wake's and wedding receptions in this pub as this is the families local and all the barman was interested in was we were taking dining customers car park spaces.

We visited The Crown two times; once for a Sunday dinner (which they do) and once for a lunch. Both times the service was good and friendly and both times the food was okay. The Sunday dinner was made of good products but prepared without any taste. The lunch was also made of good and fresh products but not very interesting. So please, chef, get inspired!

We have been here a few times and have never been disappointed.Good food, staff and beer. During the week they offer a smaller portions menu at lunch time. We found this to be good value. One can eat in the restaurant, bar or outside.

I ordered off the smaller appetites menu available @ lunch. The chicken, bacon & mushroom pie with puff pastry top was wonderful but not really small in size. Sides of chips & perfectly cooked carrots, cauliflower & cabbage were included. All this for £7.30!!! I can only imagine how great the rest of their menu must taste!!

We were on our way back from romantic day in Brighton and dropped in to the Crown Inn for quick drink and may be have a Sunday roast. The place was packed(good sign anyway) and we just wondered if we can eat there. The lady behind the bar was ever so helpful... As they were fully booked for the whole time, they quickly arranged a table for us in 10 mins.... And the food was delicious...It is worth to go there!

we arrived here Sunday lunch with no reservation as we forgot to book anywhere thinking it would be easy to find somewhere - turns out Sunday lunchtime to eat out is popularAnyway, we arrived and luckily they had a space for us we were seated and served by a young lady with Menu's and then asked for drinks order. We then chose what we wanted to eat from an exceptionally well priced and well thought menu (sunday Menu option plus Lighter lunch menu) I chose Roast Lamb and my Friend chose the Oven Baked ChickenThe food did take a while to arrive however it was well worth the wait and considering the pub was busy we did not mind. I had plenty of roast potatoes and vegetables plus a Parsnip with plenty of meat and also mint sauce and my friends Chicken was lovely served with Creamy Mushroom sauce and chips, we were asked by a new friendly lad if everything was ok with the meal he was very polite.Overall what a great find we shall most certainly return - thank you for accommodating us on such short notice food and service A*

We have just come back from our second visit to the Crown Inn. The food was very good (definitely home made) but the atmosphere was even better. The management and staff were unfailingly friendly and the place was welcoming. For those with children, there is a great area outside with goats, guinea pigs and chickens, as well as a playground area. There is plenty of space indoors, with a large dining area and a pub area (with pool table). Our little boy loved his child's meal and feeding the rabbits. There is an extensive menu and the service was good. A real gem...we'll be back!

This pub has a good ambience though we went on a Thursday evening and while It was very busy early on, by 9 p. m. was quite empty. The food is good but the portion control needs attention. Normally that is a sign of small portions but on this occasion the opposite was true. The portions were very large and consequently a bit overwhelming. For instance a prawn cocktail starter was enough for a main course ( for two!). The service was good and friendly. and the price very reasonable. In fact, with the size of the portions one wonders how they can make money.

Visited twice in two days. Lunch was very good, although the pub was busy and we had to wait awhile for our food. Prawn baguettes came with a generous side salad and a small pot of nachos.Very nice!Saturday evening with friends for our second visit. It was pretty noisy, as there was a hen night going on, but it all added to the atmosphere. Again, very good food and generous portions. Prawn cocktail starter was huge and the garlic mushrooms were amazing. Steak pie with a puff pastry lid? Couldn't eat it all! Rib eyes also very good.Service is good and staff all very pleasant and helpful.Would definitely recommend The Crown. Value for money.

Just had a lovely meal at the crown, a warm friendly welcome, unhurried service despite being busy. Relaxed atmosphere in pub, children welcome, attentive but not over bearing staff, manager very friendly. Lovely meal, sea bass excellent, likewise gammon and ribeye, would recommend to anyone, price excellent, can't wait to go again, thanks for a lovely evening!

always had excellent service and great tasting food here. The menu has a good variety to suit most tastes. It is situated in a small hamlet between Storrington and Pulborough. They even have pet goats living in the garden in their own enclosure.

The Crown Inn runs a tasty seasonal menu with imaginative food for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The manager is friendly and helpful. Set in an old, characterful building there is plenty of seating in the old pub ( with wood-burning stove) and an airy conservatory. It runs monthly quiz nights, and one lunchtime each month it is the venue for a vintage car meet, which is also entertaining.

Nice enough pub, with a reasonable drinks selection and friendly staff. We visited for a family lunch (on recommendation) and the place is very geared up for food. However, the food is absolutely dreadful: over cooked, bland and (in the case of the bao buns that I had) inedibly dry. Seems very popular, for reasons unknown to this visitor.

We ordered breakfast at out table and it was delivered quickly with every detail perfectly executed. The food was hot and fresh and really tasty. The drinks were also perfect. I paid what I thought was a fair price and will definitely be returning. You’ll go a long way to find better food in Horsham.

Unfortunately we felt on this occasion the food really was not up to the usual standard - whitebait over cooked - chips not their usual crispy delicious standard - but everyone has an off day and we said it would not deter us from returning HOWEVER we found out as we were leaving that after 14 years of trading the Orchard is due to close at the end of September 😔 So sad as , as a family some who are no longer with us it was always are “go to” place for a good quality home cooked meal . So what ever the owners plans are for the future we wish them good luck 😋
