Bill's in Horsham

Ideal location. Breakfast often described as full English was cold apart from the fried eggs, bacon streaky and floppy. Well done you Bill's the toast was excellent. Coffee bitter. Won't be repeating

Went for supper on our way up to Crawley to see family. It’s a lovely big restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The guy who greeted us was extremely friendly, but made a presumptuous observation when he said to me and my male friend “enjoying a date night”! Considering it wasn’t that busy (which I don’t think should make a difference anyway) the service was a little slow and water never arrived and no one came to offer us dessert. The food was really nice, we both had salads with fries on the side and a soft drink each. What surprised me was the cost, which came to over £50 which I think is just a lot for essentially two salads. Perhaps that’s what dining out costs these days, but I think it expensive and not great value for money, something I would have previously associated with Bills.

Met up with some friends and chose Bill's in Horsham as it was mid-point from our various homes. Warmly greeted by the staff and shown to our table. Our server was Ruby who was absolutely charming, friendly and helpful. We had a few questions which she quickly answered but double-checked with a member of staff on another query, which we thought was very professional. It took us a while to decide what to eat. One chose the set menu (soup followed by Bill's burger), another had sticky duck salad followed by Bill's burger, another had squash hummus and flatbread followed by smashed avocado with poached eggs on sourdough, my husband and I shared the rosemary flatbread and then he had the BBQ bourbon burger whilst I had Bill's fish pie. All of us were very pleased with our choices and the food was delicious. Sadly none of us had room for dessert although we were sorely tempted. We had a great time catching up with our friends whilst enjoying some good food. Thanks to everyone!

Decent food and no complaints until it came to paying the bill via the QR code on the table. Not only does it automatically add the 12.5% service charge, it also automatically adds a 'tip' for the waiter. Never seen this before and it left a sour note. I declined the 'tip' but it begs the question, what is the 12.5% service charge for, and where does it go? This kind of dishonesty and trickery I find extremely annoying and insulting.

Breakfast visit on a busy Sunday. Love this location and usually the food is excellent but let down today due to finding hair in our scrambled egg 🥲 Everything was cooked well and up to finding the hair in our food would have got usual five star review but sadly not to be, will now need to rebuild confidence to come back again 🥲 Mentioned hair issue to staff member who took plates and didn’t really seem bothered 😕

Service was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the eggs benedict was average at best. Not served hot enough. The hollandaise sauce was bland and the eggs were a bit underdone so watery. Basic stuff, really. Disappointed.

Had a lovely meal here tonight, our waitress (Millie?) was fantastic. So lovely and attentive. Food was great, and atmosphere was lovely.

Visited 9:45am & ordered coffee, tea & breakfast sandwiches. It was fairly busy but only downstairs, upstairs was empty, quick at taking our order but wow the service from the kitchen was slow, a good 20 plus minutes. Well before the sandwiches were served we had finished the coffee & tea, if we hadn’t they would have been cold. Not keen on the 12.5% service charge either, I think tipping should be discretionary. On the upside the food we had was nice.

Disappointing lunch today (sunday). Service slow, some food didn't arrive and despite asking, it never arrived. Food quality is alright but portion sizes are very small.. wouldn't go back. Left before the kids dessert arrived as was told it wouldn't be able to come out in 10 mins after chasing for service. Kids disappointed, but receipt rectified accounting for missing food and no kids desserts.

The decor seems cleaner, brighter and quite relaxing since our last visit. The welcome and service were efficient and friendly. We soon ordered our meal and drinks. My wife had ordered steak, I had Bill's Big Brunch. The food was delivered and presented well. The tomatoes actually had excellent flavour, the sausage was superb quality and the steak was perfect. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The young man delivering the tray of food was also friendly, efficient and smiled genuinely. We were both very please indeed.

Came to Bills last night as was amazing from starter through to dessert, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming We were served my the sweetest waitress Maddy. She has very good knowledge about the menu and answered all our enquires. Definitely a credit to the team! Will be recommending.

We eat at Bills quite often but this time was even better than normal. Max and Dom were very helpful and friendly made sure we had everything we needed. We both had a Bills classic burger and it was one of the best I have had in a very long time, the vegan pancakes which I had for pudding were very good and not something I have had before but will definitely have again. The background music was very well received not too loud so you couldn’t talk but enough so you could hear it clearly. Would highly recommend Bills to anyone it was a lovely impromptu evening with my husband

Absolutely amazing! Lillia showed us to our seats and made us feel so welcome. Millie served us and was very attentive, checking we had everything and always had a bright smile! Good was amazing and they accommodated my item swap! 10/10, would come again!

Love going here. The staff catered for everyone. Gave us plenty of room, this allowed for one of our guests who was in a wheelchair to have enough room around them. The food was delicious. Service was on point. The whole restaurant is tasteful decorated.

Fantastic brunch menu with vegan options and good coffee available. It was a pretty busy Saturday around Xmas so service wasn't the fastest, but that was fine as we were catching up with friends and happy to take our time. All staff were lovely. Thanks!

We met our friends for breakfast at Bill's during the Christmas break. There was a good variety of options and they will adapt the menu items if you have specific requests/allergies. The food came out quite quickly and was very tasty. I did have an overcooked (weirdly hard on one side?) sausage which I mentioned to a member of the team and they resolved this quickly by bringing 2 correctly cooked ones as a replacement. The service was friendly and attentive without being over the top, they also took a couple of pictures of us all when asked. The atmosphere was warm and cosy and everyone there seemed to be having a good time. Overall I'd highly recommend Bill's Horsham. Also if you are a blue light card holder you get 20% off the bill which is lovely.

Popped in last week. Portions small and service poor. Waitress clearly didn't wanna be there and had an attitude problem. Our order was wrong, along with being overcharged on our bill and then adding a service charge, which was a cheek! In Horsham, where there is so much choice, I wouldn't be returning here or recommend it.

We had a great experience in Bills. I took my mother in law for her birthday and the service from start to finish from our waitress Millie was 10/10! Will definitely be back!

Honor was fantastic, really funny and made us feel very welcome. Food was delicious too, had the pancakes and the brunch.

We went on Boxing Day and had an awful experience. Waitress was rude and rushing us out. Meals were cold and we were not offered dessert and we were told to leave because it was 21:00. One of us couldn’t even finish our drink. Felt rushed and stressed. Never returning to bills Horsham.

Went for an Office Christmas evening meal. The food was good, stuffing balls poor, pigs in blankets excellent. Wine was fine. Lovely strong coffee. The upstairs room was perfectly OK but overall it was missing something, just didn't get that cosy, warm, welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. The staff were excellent 👌 Good, caring and attentive waiting service with enough space so you didn't feel watched. Thank you!

Today I met my dear friend at Bills Horsham for a celebration. Unbooked, we were going with the flow, and we were blown away by our beautiful experience. Dom our waitor was excellent. So cheerful, professional and an absolute credit to the restaurant. I would be a very proud Mum if he were mine. Thank you Dom for making our day extra special. Excellent venue for meeting friends and enjoying delicious food. Staff were uber friendly and helpful.

Dinner and catch up with a friend. Lots of waiting and many different servers during our meal. Aubergine fritters were tough. Chicken main with mashed potato was nice and profiteroles were lovely. Items missing from menu and no lemon for drinks, along with the numerous staff we encountered, made the place feel disorganised. Really cold under the big windows too. I won't be returning for dinner.

Not sure what happened with us but the service was truly terrible. The waitresses were walking around with faces of misery. On the booking we were asked if there was an special occasion, we made them aware that it was our sons 9th birthday. Nothing was done. Walked in on a high and left feeling as miserable as the waitresses!

Our brunch experience with a group of 9 was fantastic! Charlotte, our waitress, was not only friendly but also efficient. She made sure the little ones felt welcome without any fuss. Big kudos to Charlotte for getting us with extra chili syrup for our pancakes – a pleasant surprise that spiced up our meal! The food was served promptly, and the coffees came quick. A solid choice for a relaxed brunch with family and friends. We'll be returning.

We had a brilliant evening at Bill’s in Horsham. Upbeat, efficient service. Delicious food and felt genuinely looked after. Millie and Tosh were execllent. Thank you, we will be back.

Disappointing. Second year here for our work Xmas meal. Last year fine, this year was bad. The wait between starter, main and dessert was ridiculously long. Considering we all ordered in advance and there were no changes to our orders, this was very poor. The vegetables were hard, the gravy was a shambles, the only redeeming point was dessert. It didn’t seem all that busy, and there were plenty of staff, so not sure what went wrong this year.

A very nice Bill's in a lovely old building. If you don't know it, it's a sort of bistro/brasserie. The good is good as is the staff.

Went for breakfast this morning with a friend. We were immediately greeted with a lovely warm welcome & seated. We ordered a veggie garden plate & a Bill's big brunch. 2 huge plates of breakfast arrived. Both were faultless as was the service. A little bit more expensive but so worth it. We will most definitely be recommending Bill's to others. Dom, Rhys & Tosh served us & are a credit to Bill's

Nice staff, attentive manager, pretty venue. However our second attempt at brunch , our last visit the food was cold. On this visit we waited over 45mins for brunch that arrived luke warm with cold poached eggs. All three plates were remade, yes it was hotter, but still luke warm in parts and the eggs still edging to the cold side. Food very disappointing. Just go for drinks!

Great atmosphere busy with families. Service good, however the food the 4 of us ordered was ok to poor. I had the HALLOUMI MEZZE PLATE was so disappointing. Not much Labneh, the pickles were inedible and the toasted flatbread seemed to be stale and very hard. Not a recommendation I'm afraid.

My party and I came in and got sat down on a rickety table. Not a good start. Menus were given in due time and we took our time selecting our drinks and meals. Drinks were quite expensive and when the round came to order them we asked for tap water and almost got charged £4.50 for still water. I had to make sure that we were getting tap water instead. We ordered one lemonade, four coke zeroes and supposedly one pint of peroni. When we did receive our drinks, after 10 minutes I must add, the pint of peroni had turned into a 660ml bottle. Which unfortunately was an extra 75p. Not much on writing but still quite frustrating that we have to pay extra. For starters, a few of us had a small bowl of calamari and a garlic flatbread. The starters were exemplary and the dips matched perfectly. Kudos to the chefs on this half. After finishing our starters, our waiter came along, asked if we had finished and took away our bowls. For some reason, a fella trying to dress to impress reached over my friend to claw grip the coke cans. Quite a startling experience, definitely unorthodox and unexpected. We would appreciate it if that didn’t happen. 45 minutes after our starters, our food finally had arrived. We had ordered one chicken burger, one meatballs, 3 burgers and one shawarma. We got what we wanted, food was warm and delicious. What wasn’t nice was the service. I asked for some napkins to sort out the dysfunctional desk and the waiter dressed like a Ken doll immediately reached under the desk n with no warning. Frankly, I was startled and even scared that he was even reaching underneath there with no warning. After he fixed it, we gave a prompt “thanks” but had no response. Whilst eating, the atmosphere had morphed from a nice dinner soundtrack to what seemed like being in the Gaza Strip. Ice box being refilled, obnoxious background music where the only thing we could hear was a flaccid sounding triangle. After a few minutes of listening to it, we almost went insane. Not a good choice of music. Furthermore, the man who had been interacting with us decided it was a good time to “service” some ladies on the table next to us. Listening to unenduring flirting was not on my list tonight. Loud and obnoxious, this “server” seemed like he wanted to be the centre of attention the whole night. Finally, we asked for the cheque. Decent pricing for the food but the prices of the drinks hit. After plopping down the cheque, mr centre of anttention said “don’t forget to tip your waitress, she’d really appreciate it.” The cheek. If I wanted to I would.After wanting to pay the bill, the complication of being served the wrong drink was propped up. What was said was the rudest event of the night. We had simply enquired about the mistake. What came next was a cold blank robotic stare stating that the restarting did not have the drink on tap. If it wasn’t so, then why was a pint offered on the menu. A very misplacing circumstance. We gave in and paid the full price, no tip because of our waiters attitude and promptly escaped. In essence, the food was decent but I would not recommend anything else if you are expecting a good night out. Negative vibes had ruined my night out.

Went here on a Sunday morning a couple of weeks ago. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly, really meant a lot for a young family that doesn't get to go out to eat a lot with a small baby.

Surprised us with a birthday pudding for my sister, after saying that pudding was unavailable. Fantastic gesture, specially considering my sister is death.

Great atmosphere in this beautiful ancient building and delicious food. Excellent service from all, but especially Charlotte who was very helpful, quick to respond and knowledgable about the history of the building, which we were interested in. Altogether a very happy experience.

I came for the unlimited gf pancakes. The staff were lovely and when I asked for everything separate, they delivered. Delicious, great service. Shout out to Max who patiently actioned my request to have everything separate on the plate (everything was in mini cups!) And to Tom, he whizzedaround so much making sure every table was looked after - I thought his feet might catch fire!

The place looked really fancy though the food was rather expensive and the pancakes were a bit dry for my liking but I can see how this could be a good breakfast place.

Very poor on allergies, despite have an allergy portal - they are not accurate. We ordered, waited 20 minutes only to be told that the food that said it was okay on the app… wasn’t after all!
