Bill's in Horsham

We went in , we're seated by a nice member of staff . Ordered our breakfasts , which took ages to come considering at that time it wasn't busy . The breakfasts were very poor quality for the price . One of the breakfasts had no black pudding although it should have done . We pointed it out & the waitress went off to sort some . We never did get it ! ! . A very disappointing experience . Certainly won't be going there again.

The girls in front of house tonight, Natalie, Erin and Ellie were all lovely when serving me and my mate tonight. Excellent service!!

Unfortunately we had a poor experience of food and service at what was meant to be a celebratory family meal for my daughter's new job. There were three adults and a four year old child in our group. The first issue was that two of the three main meals we ordered were not available. The waitress, who was very helpful, obviously did not know and was understandably embarrassed when she returned some time after placing the order to tell us we would have to choose something else. The second issue was that the sausage we ordered for the child was inedible. The skin was thick and hard and appeared to be a one that had been cooked much earlier in the day and probably reheated. Our granddaughter announced after chewing for a few minutes that she could not eat it. We asked for a freshly cooked sausage. The waitress was apologetic but by the time the new ones arrived, we had almost finished our mains and because we had given our grandaughter some of our meal to keep her going, she did not want to eat anything else. Although, the waitress offered to not charge us for our (soft) drinks, we were then asked if they could add a 12.5% service charge to the bill!! At this point we just wanted to pay up and get out asap to not further spoil what was meant to be a celebration by having further difficult discussions with staff.

I had the pleasure of dining at Bill's in Horsham recently, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our waitress, Normandie, was exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Her recommendations were spot on, and she made the whole experience feel personal and special. I can't recommend Bill's enough – great food, great service, and a lovely spot to spend time with friends or family. I'll definitely be back soon!

This is the by far the best Bill's we’ve been too! Food was delicious, atmosphere was chilled & service was incredible!!; Normandie took great care of us, she was so polite & accommodating to our requirements!! We will 100% be back!

I had a lovely meal here recently, and it’s definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Our waitress, Normandie, really stood out. She was kind, attentive, and made us feel well looked after without being overbearing. It was clear she genuinely cared about making sure we had a good experience, and she even gave some great recommendations from the menu. The food was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. There’s a good variety on the menu, so there’s something for everyone. All in all, it was a great experience. Normandie and the rest of the team made it a really enjoyable visit, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Lovely food as always - great quality and portion size! Flavours are great. The last few times I’ve gone in, the service has been a bit slow - waited 30mins for my food and my coffee came after my food.

Excellent meal and atmosphere. Mona was brilliant, excellent service and was amazing with all the kids which goes a long way to make the meal enjoyable.

Had a very lovely time. We place looks nice and cozy, we ordered a nibbles plate to share, Bill’s truffle chicken and chicken shawarma - everything was very tasty. We enjoyed the drinks as well. Special thanks to our waiter Mona:)

Waited over an hour for food. One meal served different to what was ordered. One meal completely inedible. Complained and bill reduced but service charge left on. Refused to pay service charge. Will not be revisiting.

Hannah was a delightful server! Attentive and thorough and knowledgeable about the menu! When she told us she had only been there 2 months, I couldn't believe it! Food was good and Hannah knew what to suggest to all of us with our preferences.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Completely shocked and disgusted at how we were treated here on Christmas Eve 2024.. Starters completely forgotten, mains took over an hour to come out, never asked us if we wanted sauces, water. Food not seasoned and cold and fish pie was burnt. Burgers with no sauce or seasoning. My daughter ordered a child’s Mac and cheese where they FORGOT THE CHEESE. No sincere apology. The man who is was the manager this night was so rude, no class, not sincere in the slightest. We walked out and refused to pay. Devastated as it’s gone extremely downhill .

We have been coming to this restaurant and Bill’s in general for years. While it’s not cheap, it’s been consistent for us and the menu always has interesting things to try. For a family with several allergies, it’s a place we could rely on. Unfortunately this visit has put us off going back, certainly for a good long while. Some of the staff around Xmas must be new because there was a lot of confusion, from getting us seated to order taking. Food took an hour to get to us, my order was put in wrong, a drink that was ordered was charged but never delivered, I was handed the non gluten free burger instead of the gluten free one, which I luckily spotted. The menu has changed substantially and has very little of the Bill’s appeal, essentially burgers, one fish dish, some salads and a handful of very bog standard options you can get anywhere. We ordered elderflower lemonades and they were very watery, basic lemonades with no elderflower to report, which they charge a lot for. Sadly we only realised we got charged wrong after we left, and they have a standard 12.5% tip put on the bill which you can only take off by speaking to the staff (while you can happily add more tip via their payment app). The restaurant was uncomfortably hot which they said they could do nothing about, so we rushed out of there. Sad for us all, as it was always a safe bet when out and about in Horsham.

Bottomless pancakes were delicious and the service was smooth and relaxed. Staff very friendly and attentive - nothing was too much.

Arrived with my eldest daughter for her birthday! I had the brunch and she had the burger! It was clear from the off that my eggs were severely underdone. So I asked for them to be cooked through! Waited 10mins for 2 eggs! No apology nothing! Black pudding burnt! Tiny piece of toast burnt like it was the end off an old loaf. Cans of coke dumped on the table and a glass to pour ourselves!..and didn't seem to understand what coke zero was? So I got diet coke that I didn't ask for! Matcha tea was disgusting! Potatoes obviously frozen. And staff all huddled around the till. The fact it wasn't even busy and they sneakily add a 12.5% service charge is disgusting! Do not go there people! Another franchise ripping people off! Never again! Less than average food

We had our pre booked Xmas set meal on 15/11/24 The restaurant was busy and the 6 of us were seated upstairs where we were left sitting for half an hour before we were even offered a drink. The starters came another half hour later , prawn cocktails on a large plate with lettuce,sauce and some kind of stale crispbread with 3 prawns. Some 40 mins after our mains arrived, this was disappointing also , frozen roast potatoes, 2 large sausages wrapped in bacon 2 small pieces of turkey with stuffing, 2 sprouts 3 slices of carrot and 1 slither of parsnip. Deserts were okay but again a long wait. We were in the restaurant for 3 hours had 4 different waitresses This was our family Xmas dinner as we are unable to be together on the day, the service we received was awful ,the food was mediocre at best and was not worth £36.95 each,what should have been a special day was thoroughly spoiled, needless to say we won't be returning.

Nice feeling to the restaurant. Attentive staff without being intrusive. Had a problem with my main meal which was corrected immediately and taken off the bill which was unexpected. Anton and Molly who served us were lovely

Coffee was warm not hot. Eggs benedict ,eggs undercooked and warm not hot,extra sausage warm not hot,and plates cold. Tasted ok,but not the experience we expected . Best of all was the orange juice!

Two of us had dinner at Bill's in Horsham. The building has a lovely atmosphere and there is a good choice of options on the menu. Food was nice although unfortunately my main came out lukewarm. However, our server Mona was amazing and went above and beyond to rectify the problem and to make sure our evening was enjoyable!

We had a lovely pre-pantomime lunch at Bill's Horsham. The food was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We requested the private dining room for our works Christmas party this year and we couldn’t have been more delighted with the outcome… Natalie Burgess the Christmas coordinator couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful from booking right through to the end of the evening. Mona our waitress was equally wonderful and nothing was too much trouble! She joined in our “merry making!!” 😁 The Registrars will be back!! Thank you again xx 😍

I booked a table on the night and got a confirmation. Turned up and the manager said he couldn’t go or the booking as they were fully booked. Why would you allow someone to book if there are no tables? Basically we were kicked out because they hadn’t got enough staff.

Went for Christmas Dinner, shown to table upstairs by the manager who seemed to be up against it. The table had no place settings laid out. Starter was fine. All vegetables were undercooked and the meal was pretty bland, small amount of gravy given so had to ask for more. Best part of meal was the dessert. The restaurant didn't seem to be tended very well and service was below average. They apologised that the food was up to scratch and reduced our bill by £12.65, the cost of the drinks. Safe to say we won't be doing Christmas there next year.

We visited lunchtime (booked) Saturday. We were early and welcomed to our table where we ordered drinks. We also ordered our food. (At the same time). Firstly, the menu was limited and quite boring, burgers or salad or fry up. We ordered burgers but had to wait for three quarters of an hour and had to remind a waitress. Food not amazing and drinks expensive, eg beer 330mls for £5.95, and the final complaint was a 12.5% service charge for our no service. We won,t be rushing back. Bills used to be so enjoyable good menu and good value. What's happened to it?

Enjoyed a lovely festive pre-Christmas dinner at Bill’s Horsham (the Boxing Day curry was fantastic!) Even though it was a busy Friday evening with several Christmas parties, service was attentive and Antal looked after us in a warm & friendly manner.

Lovely Breakfast , Antal gave us great service . Over all great, 4 out of 5 as food was abit cold .

Wife treated us to a family meal out and a bit of late night shopping. Popped into Bills as she gets a blue light discount. New Christmas menu and friendly staff. Great table service from a new member of staff, Anton who had only been there 2 days. Very impressed.

Always been pleased with Bills Horsham in the past but felt let down after our latest visit. Food was very nice but service left a lot to be desired. V slow , we’d just ordered mains and deserts but overall we were there for 2 3/4 hrs. We weren’t all that bothered about the mains being slow as we were chatting amongst ourselves. The mains hadn’t been cleared away and hadn’t been given a desert menu when we were told we had 25 mins to give up the table and would we like desert. Manageress seem inconvenienced by us at the end, not a great end to the evening.

Our server Mona had amazing recommendations and was very enthusiastic and lovely, amazing food and lovely atmosphere.

Took over an hour for starters to come out, when they did, they were luke warm at best. It then took 30 mins for mains to come out, and they were fine but chips were very under seasoned and vegetables were super soggy. Had to remind waiters over 5 times for the drinks we’d requested that never came. Had to chase 3 times for my nieces ice cream. Upstairs atmosphere was bland and boring, felt very forgotten about

We had a delicious brunch at Bills Horsham. The Christmas pancakes were so good. The cream cheese, smoked salmon and prosecco hollandaise was delicious. Would thoroughly recommend. Good service and a great place for brunch.
